i have this princess character who was actually a real asshole until her father died, she became much more respectful and caring for those around her. then her siblings went missing, making her a bit vengeful but instead of looking for a fight, she always talked things out

Yeah, I've almost completed a character arc like that, had a priviledged jerk learn to not be the center of the world. Those are more fun than nice to mean, in my opinion. But only if you're really committed to the RP. I don't even know what aesthetic is, so I'd say no. I mostly base my characters off of famous characters and whatever I'm into at the time.

i normally just throw the character in a short story or something, never done it in a rp lmao but it would indeed probably be fun

It's so hard to get to the point where you can actually finish out the arc, though. I once did a really terrible redemption arc that was pretty much just forced romance, and a pretty good one that never did finish. I guess I could use the same character in multiple RPs for that, but I love making new characters for RPs.

wolf. said: here's another question: do you like to make a certain 'aesthetic' for your characters?
I certainly do nowadays, but my old characters don't have a set aesthetic.
My current favorite OC, Raoul, his aesthetic is similar to my pack's red palette, but with more teeth and browscale tones.

Badlands said: I've never done an albino human (but based on new rper trends, I probably did an albino animal oc way back in the before times), but I did create a character who was basically Melanesian, so his skin tone/hair were definitely weird and unusual, but not due to any defect or genetic anomaly. I guess because I see so many of the more unusual colors with animals - pure black, white, etc, on the very rare occasions I have need for an animal character, it's almost guaranteed that they'll be painfully generic in appearance. Buuut that could also be something of a crutch, as I have a hard time describing animals beyond their basic appearance. Like, "yep, orange tabby cat. Kinda chubby. Fluffy. That's about it". Here's a question for folks: mobile or laptop - how do y'all usually do your replies?
I have a Melanesian character! I haven't seen another one before.
I don't like to make pelt defect animals because they all look the same. I do have a vitiligo wolf character; I thought that would be "rarer" as hardly anyone liked WP vitis back in those days.
Writing this summer has been a hassle due to my restrictions. Laptop is my #1 choice. I never write on WP, only on textpad, Pages, offline Google Docs, iCloud notes, you name it. I spend more time copying and pasting than typing it seems sometimes. Since I have computer screentime at night which shuts down apps, I sometimes write on the contacts of my iPhone and transcribe it onto my computer next morning. My laptop only got Wifi this week, so I've had to transport my writing via USB to my family's desktop for most previous RP replies.

question: have you ever done an RP with both humans and animals? how did that go?

Quite a few times, actually. It goes solid in my opinion! I find those types of RPs to be best of both worlds, got the species that you arguably can do more with physical wise, then the animal species. It also depends on if the animal behave like they do in general animal RPs, or more.. realistically. But even then I like to have fun with the more realistic type, because it's basically a human paired with a animal bud and they go on adventures, making for a fun pet owner and pet situation. :D Sleepless Nights said: question: have you ever done an RP with both humans and animals? how did that go?

i mean it was more of like a human that could have animal rp if that counts. the animals were dogs, it was pretty straight forwards and stuff so i mean it was fine
