Any time I have a defect character (only animals for me), its usually only Leuc, not albino, though one's I have delt with harent edgy murderers. XD I might try an albino or Melanistic at some point. XD

any oc with albinism/piebald/melanism immediately makes me lose interest. it's overdone so much

I personally also would like an Albino humanoid OC for diversity reasons. Even if it is overdone, I've never experienced having an Albino OC before.

Oof. I have an albino OC. Although she’s a reptile and apparently snakes commonly have albinism so maybe her species can too? And I do give her some disadvantages. She’s smaller and weaker then others of her kind and tends to be nasty and mean only because it makes her feel better for herself, as it’s really her only source of feeling powerful. She’s also embarrassed by her colouring and hates how small she is, so I guess she’d fit into edgy albino category? I am guilty of that but I gave her reasons and made it a defect, not a pretty thing to make her look better then everyone else.

I just barely got a new human oc. He's got Viltigo but... that's because he's based off of one of my animals from a different site that has a piebald and I wanted to kind of keep that same idea of the defect.

I've made two vitiligo characters, not played either. One really didn't need vitiligo, it was kinda dumb. One was more influenced by that, I actually did some research. Really, though, I haven't had too many characters with physical defects.

i still have yet to do defects on animals and humans. i don't really think i could portray them well enough, at least something that physically alters them (not albino or mela), but rather an extra limb or something

I've done a melanistic panther, but I don't think I've done an albino. It never mattered to me, and everyone else has sort of scared me off of it.

I've never done an albino human (but based on new rper trends, I probably did an albino animal oc way back in the before times), but I did create a character who was basically Melanesian, so his skin tone/hair were definitely weird and unusual, but not due to any defect or genetic anomaly. I guess because I see so many of the more unusual colors with animals - pure black, white, etc, on the very rare occasions I have need for an animal character, it's almost guaranteed that they'll be painfully generic in appearance. Buuut that could also be something of a crutch, as I have a hard time describing animals beyond their basic appearance. Like, "yep, orange tabby cat. Kinda chubby. Fluffy. That's about it". Here's a question for folks: mobile or laptop - how do y'all usually do your replies?
