Midnight Savages said: I made a custom wolf with a custom background and I had wings and light snowfall, but when I bought the wolf for 25 apples and wings and background and snowfall didn't show up. Those added to the value, so why didn't I receive what I paid for? Please help...
The Gear and Decor are for viewing only in the Custom Maker. They do not come with the wolf, and you aren't charged for them. You can purchase those separately in Barter. :)

Why isnt private sell for all? if something happens to someones wolf then they have a high probability of quitting and that would lose the site on possible future sales

A major part of the sites income would be apple sales, if you can buy apples then you can buy premium. Or you can work and save for premium on your own.
Private sales are a big part of the premium membership and making them for all users would make the membership less appealing I would imagine. Losing potential sales would only really occur if it was an apple buyer that was quitting the site, if you can afford to buy apples then you can afford to buy a premium membership. If a user wants to quit because of that then that's their choice.

It's actually the opposite. Certain features are restricted to premium accounts because they buy apples which keeps giving the site more sales. Many users are willing to buy apples to help support and fund the site in return they receive extra features on their account for buying apples to buy premium.
If someone quits over someone different buying a wolf they put up publicly, that's their choice if they choose to be that angry over it. In all honesty it'd be a pretty silly reason to quit a game because of something they choose to risk, even moreso since there's many ways to decrease the likelihood of someone else buying a wolf. This may sound stupid, but how do you know if positions are open? Where exactly does it show that? I may be blind and missed it entirely.

Yeah. How does one know if there are positions open? Is there a certain place that that is found?

Riiiight under the paragraph that says "How do I become a moderator" it says "How do I know when positions are open".
