Name: Avarie Starholder
Age: 22
Gender: Male (he/him)
Tribe: Dark-Moor
Rank: Shaman
Desired Rank: Content
Thoughts on the Sun-Tree Tribe?: “I believe they will be accepting of us. I believe this is a blessing to even see them!”
Appearance: Six foot with a lean body that is often hidden and sheltered from the sun under light clothes, Avarie looks like a walking grim reaper. Though he has plenty of blisters on rough hands, an intimidating stance and step, and a staggering height that forces him to bend forward when entering most doorways or talking to people, Avarie himself is nowhere near as intimidating as his appearance. While he is littered in a few small scars, even in his skinny state, his body under all the clothes he wears is not one to be ashamed of as he has lean muscle and a few beauty marks, but the reason he must constantly is to shield himself from ticks and the sun in the plains he was raised in. Blisters and burns cover his dark gray skin from the sun, but now he is constantly shivering because of the cold which the trees provide and that he is not prepared for.
Constantly picking at the wooden mask that covers the upper half of his face and itching it one way or another on his face as if an attempt to wriggle out of it, Avarie’s full lips and generally frowned when he is reminded of it. However, his lips always open to reveal a gorgeous grin or release a small giggle whenever he is distracted with those he is most fond of. His green eyes tend to twinkle and sparkle with excitement when he is near someone he admires, but even with his great patience, those same bright eyes will grow dull with annoyance if someone has been rude repeatedly to his face. Though he will never call someone else out for their cruelty or harsh comments, Avarie’s eyes are telling on who they do and do not like. Avarie also tends to wear false horns ever since his real ones broke off so many years ago. As some believe broken horns to be blasphemous and a shaman having broken his a long time ago might cause an uproar, Avarie either wears his hat or headband, with horns the same white color of the freckles on his face, neck, and wings.

Personality: While Avarie is tall and intimidating, any silence Avarie has is generally out of shyness rather than anything else. You see, though Avarie has always cared for the children and taught them, crying while trying to officiate weddings, and done all that is to be asked of a good shaman and more, Avarie has always been nervous around new people. He might stutter, stammer, and fumble upon his first interactions with someone new so unless he truly needs to speak, he will stand there ominously.
After those first few interactions with someone he has just met, Avarie tends to quickly grow friendly with them and reflect his true personality. Avarie is a rather bubbly person when they are not overworked or stressed. This is because they are passionate about quite a bit of topics and often overlook the realistic in favor of an idealization of the facts. Avarie devotes himself entirely to a project or an interest and will continuously work on this passion or task until its completion, even at the cost of his sanity or well being. Even close friends of his will not be able to deter him from his goals thanks to his uncanny stubbornness and ability to brush off his own physical or mental turmoil. Of course, Avarie will instantly worry and stress over the well-being of loved ones. In fact, Avarie can best be described as the ‘mom friend’ thanks to his constant care taking of others.
As for his love life, Avarie is surprisingly more in charge in a relationship. Of the relationships he has been a part of, he has, more often than not, been the one who takes the most control generally due to his blunt nature. While he flusters easily at compliments and any sort of praise, Avarie is very straightforward with his attraction to his partner and shows this through constant gifts, physical affection, you name it! While the dangling star and moon ornaments attached to his hat get it the way of things on occasion, Avarie will not mind removing his hat— an extreme rarity— just to better give affection to his partner.
As for those Avarie hates, it is difficult to discuss. Avarie is generally far too lenient with others and lets them walk all over him without much of a protest, but if someone crosses a line, Avarie will remove himself from them. This will generally result in Avarie doing his best to ignore them and avoid speaking to them while being unnerved at their very name being said. It is rare for Avarie to ever get to this point with someone unless they have done something truly horrible to him, but Avarie knows of his own tendency to easily forgive someone so he will purposely avoid them just so that he does not accidentally do so.
