Foal

His brother’s Lieutenant :3
Appearance:
Theodore has always been a sort of ‘runt’, especially in comparison to other foals his age. Though he will catch up to them if given enough time (and calories), he will never quite reach the average height for a wild horse, capping at around 14 and 1/2 hh once he has stopped growing which thankfully isn't too small. That said, while he isn't a complete coward, he will never quite posses the right bulk to go trotting around other stallions as if he owns the place. No, even this young male's demenour is very peaceful and agreeable, so it seems he won't be much of a fighter but perhaps he won't need to. With his gentle and polite nature, he seems like he has the potential to become quite the charismatic young colt as he grows. And a handsome one too, with his soon to be majestic reddish coat.
As his legs are quite long in comparison to the rest of him, it leads his upper body to seem even smaller than it is. He has a tendancy to look underfed, but certainly isnt - and don't you dare suggest a thing like that to his doting mother. Theo simply is lower on the scale of muscle mass. He has quite a lean disposition, but thankfully keeps warm enough due to his thicker than average coat. Additionally, he is a quite fast and nimble youngster, so if he is feeling too chilly, he need only run a few laps with his siblings or friends to warm right up again. Speed is certainly up there in his skillset, albiet only in short bursts.
His coat, with its white markings and reddish undertones, is most likely the first thing you notice apon seeing him. Though that sorrel tone is yet to surface, there are hints of it across the bulk of his fur, especially around his eyes and the way sunlight shines off it. He has quite dark eyes already, a dark oak brown which are framed by his long eyelashes. His mane and tail are a similar colour, another dark shade of brown that almost appears black at the base beside his neck and hindquaters. The hair is already fairly long, although his mane still sticks up messily. It'll grow out soon enough, making up quite an impressive length, but for now it's not too neat and he often gets annoyed when his hair is groomed by this mother.
As for prominent markings, well Theodore has a few. Firsty, he has a bit splash of white across his muzzle, streatching down from a diamond-like formation on his forehead to a thick line that leads all the way down to his sooty-grey nose. He has two solidifying white socks on his front legs - just up past the fetlock and fading back to sorrel, with his hind legs also being tinged a snowy white, though not as boldly. He has no markings of the scar sort, as he is a very careful lad when there are situations that could get him hurt. When he was born, he was a very delicate young foal so has continued to act so cautiously about himself - despite having grown thankfully out of the danger stage, which now allows him to be a little more rambunctious if he wishes to be.
Personality:
When it comes to his mannerisms, this young colt does appear to be quite shy; he keeps very much to himself and close to his mother unless called on by a sibling or friend. Theo is never the one to initiate a conversation, or game. He will patiently wait for someone to come over to him or invite him in, and then he'll happily engage in it. Despite this, he isn't as much of a coward, nor a pushover as you might expect. Sure, he does go along with almost anything his twin brother ropes him into, but that's the exception. For the most part, Theo will act of his own accord, such as running back to apologise to another youngster when his brother is out of earshot - especially when he knows they have acted a little too nasty. Theo really isn't keen on this brother's moments of dictatorship, but they pass quick enough that he can move past it, or else deal with it descreetly behind his back.
As for his general temperament, this young male is quite the sweetheart. When he is playing around, he personally tries to maintain some consideration for other's wellbeing and is often the first to run for help if someone gets hurt, as little as the incident may be. He is very atune to other's emotions, and very curious, which makes for the right pairing of a very very good listener. His aptitude for senernity can make him seem very quiet, slightly more than he is. Though he won't talk over anyone, and speaks with a gentle tone - he has his own thoughts and opinions and won't change them for a moment of approval. And, when he really gets a chance to speak with those he is comfortable with, he can have a really interesting conversation as he often has interesting ideas that no one else has considered yet.
As an adult it is likely he will maintain his gentle and patient nature, although he might be able to become more assertive - hopefully dislodging himself from beneath his brother's shadow. As a full stallion, there is no doubt he'll be a quiet but effective charmer, with quite a sneaky streak to him. Though he is good at getting what he wants, he won't sacrifice the wellbeing of others for it, and will become more confident in being kind and honest in front of his brother - rather than behind his back. In terms of his sneaky streak, despite being quite an honest male, Theo will do his best to avoid the wrath of other males even when that means flirting with the ladies when they are out of earshot. Unfortunately his main strategy once he's in trouble with other stallions is just to run off with incredible, which might not make him look the greatest in the eyes in potential mates.
