How do they feel about the culture/religion of Everlong?: He certainly isn’t a believer of the religion. He can act like he is though, luckily. The culture isn’t terrible, especially compared to places they’ve read about- Everlong culture still isn’t the best though.

Appearance:

Irfam stands rather average at 5' 8”, though they sometimes seem 5’ 6” due to how slouched their posture is. Their skin tone is a pale color with sickly cool undertones. They have practically no freckles too, which doesn’t exactly help them seem healthier.

Irfam has a diamond face shape, meaning they have a smaller forehead and a smaller sharp chin, the middle of their face larger, the whole thing on the more sunken side. Now for the nose, they have a hawk shaped nose, meaning it starts the way the stereotypical normal nose would but then dips down a bit too much.

Their lips… Well, it’s hard to say what they once were, if we’re being honest. They’re usually grinning behind their mask though, smiling. It certainly reaches their eyes, at least. Their lips aren’t very full either, so… Thin? Not like many see them anyways though.

Their eyebrows are rather thin, with practically no arch at all. Finally, their eyes are a downturned deepset hooded shape and are heterochromatic. Their left eye is a dark emerald green, and their right is a brown speckled with gray and shades that practically make it seem orange.

Their face is framed by thin black hair that’s usually a total mess. Bed head for days, they’ve given up on getting all of the tangles and cowlicks and craziness out of it for the event, but they did manage to calm it slightly. They usually have their hair up in a small ponytail, and it goes down to below the shoulders(but above the middle of their back) when down.

Their body structure could quickly be described as rectangular. Everything about their structure screams that they’re more so built for agility than muscle, if that even. They’re much better suited for inside jobs, in all honesty. They weigh in at 115, with their BMI at 17.48, underweight by 7 pounds. Mostly because they forget meals in preference of inventing, and less meals eaten means more time with their mask on.

For scars… Irfam certainly has quite a few. A burn scar that goes up their right hand to the middle of their upper arm from a fire incident and them not wanting to leave behind one of their work-in-progress inventions. Plenty of small scars on both palms and fingers from their years of tinkering, along with a larger one from an incident with broken glass on their left palm. The gloves they wear usually hide those easily. They also have one at their chest, it wasn’t deep, only just so for a scar to form, and it goes down the length of their sternum. Frankly, one of the only reasons it scarred was because of how long the blade of glass was there for.

And then, of course, the ones starting at the throat just below the chin and making their way up to right below their nose. Incidents with broken glass have caused odd ones at odd angles at their cheeks and mouth, while incidents with acid have caused the majority of other ones. Blotches at their throat from acid, places where even with their mouth closed you’d be able to see teeth and gums, and blotches at their cheeks- One particularly bad blotch at their right cheek was nearly bad enough to create a gaping hole there to see into their mouth. Luckily, the acid incident is a few years old at this point, so the risk of it doing that suddenly/randomly aren’t as high. They do have a mask that they wear practically at all times that covers all of the scars at their lower face and upper throat.

Physical health/disabilities: Sometimes they lose control of their finer motor functions. More than that, sometimes their legs give out on them. Their eyes are also not the best. Luckily, the things that help are easily disguised as something else. Goggles for safety during experiments, a cane that has a telescope in it for if he needs to look at something far away at a moment's notice, and a mask to hide scarring with an excuse of making sure that he doesn’t breath in any chemicals that could end up… Tainting his intelligence. Yep. That’s what he went with for that, he supposes the religion and culture makes it a fine excuse.

How do they feel about the culture/religion of Everlong?:

He has been raised through this culture, and wouldn't dream of damaging its reputation. Although, his travels have indicated there is something is off about his beloved home. Every time he has returned, it has appeared much colder than before, and with every new adventure it becomes harder to return.

He doesn't feel like he's in a position to question the Exile 'problem'. Whatever the Queen chooses to do to strengthen her kingdom is down to her - he cannot change that. It's a topic he's uncomfortable with and tries to breeze over.

=Character Details=

Appearance:

✦ Kiano stands at around 5'9, with his back straight and never slouching. He is of a skinny, athletic body structure, all lean muscle and long legs. Incredibly flexible, his arms and legs are long, elegant and graceful which compliments the small torso of his dancers poise. He may seem almost small and easily intimidated, with his feather-light weight certainly reflecting this - however he has strength in his arms and legs, able to land a well-aimed punch or kick if needed. He walks fairly fast with short quick steps, and can be stealthy, able to get through a variety of obstacles.

✧ He has a warm tawny skin-tone that almost shimmers in sunlight, painting his skin a golden hue. It darkens easily if he spends enough time in the sun, and his freckles appear more prominantly, while can barely be noticed when he hasn't been outside enough. They are dotted around his rounded face, mainly in clusters along his nose, cheeks and forehead. He doesn't do facial hair. The one time he did was far too awkward - he'd rather wait until he's settled down to try growing it out again.

✦ Kia's hair is a dark brown which lightens in the sun. More specifically, a mahogany shade with reddish undertones. His hair is long to about his elbows, and a thick, fluffy 2c. Often styled with different coloured ribbons or scarfs, he prefers to keep it up in a secure bun or top-knot for performances - but loving to let it free when he's extra relaxed. The front is a slightly off-middle part, and shortened into a little longer than fringe-length, with two strands pulled out, ending by his eyes.

✧ He has very subtle amber eyes. They appear a dark brown in the shade - matching his hair. With light however, the golden undertones become much more clear. His eyes are an almond shape, almost feminine with his long eyelashes, and often accentuated with coloured eyeliner and a range of eye make-up. He has collected the pigments himself from wherever he travels, and enjoys incorporating these into his routines.

✦ His favorite colour is undoubtedly orange and he wears bright, sunny-hued colours. His striped orange scarf is a unique and clear identifier - which he buries his head in for good luck. The scarf carries a lot of sentiment, and he'll always have it by his side or nearby. Alongside the leotard or outfit he wears for his performances, which are in a wide range of colours, he wears the usual trousers and shirt. He loves anything oversized slightly, and cozy clothing in more muted shades. He is not one to wear peircing or any other jewelry, and doesn't have any tatoos - although he does get bored and paint designs on himself sometimes.

Personality:

Primarily, Kiano is a performer. He lives and breathes for dancing, performing all sorts of movements and amazing people with his abilities. He can be slightly arrogant when it comes to this, and while he doesn't outright brag, he can be a little bit obnoxious if he starts talking about everything he's doing. He does enjoy sharing tales of his trips out of Everlong, but to those within its walls who rarely leave - it can sure get annoying.

Kiano is essentially an actor - seeming like he loves people as he performs, interacting with his crowd. And while he does love attention, he's actually much more introverted. Seriously reserved in anything not to do with work (whether performing or trading), he can appear very quiet and shy when not in work attire. If asked about his passions however, he can burst back into a flame, instantly talkative and shining.

He is a calm guy, rarely loosing his temper and mostly going with the flow of things. He hates being interrupted however, whether that be when he's in a specific mindset, dance or talking. It's rude, and he'll glare at the interruptor until they stop long enough for himself to continue. Kia can be a little blunt, and can be oblivious to emotional needs of others - not adequately making allowences for different reasons they may have for outbursts. He does maintain his good manners though, just with an almost brutal honesty.

As he is a Traveller, he must remain cautious, and aware at all times. Whilst well-loved as a dancer, he is aware the Kingdom of Everlong has enemies which could use him to their advantage. He is careful to pay attention to who he meets, and collects information in any way he can which can sometimes be beneficial. He's also practical when out on travels as he spends much of it alone, moving from place to place. Kia has gathered all kinds of self-defence skills, but tends to use these for more selfish means as well, extracting information through these ways if need be.

Day-to-day, he tries to be somewhat friendly and appears very upbeat and cheeful. He walks with a spring in his step and a soft smile on his lips. However he's not really a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but once he does he clings tightly to them. Once he has built up a bond with them it is solidified in his mind - he will defend and protect them no matter what. It's near impossible to convince Kiano that his view on these individuals is wrong.

At his most comfortable, he is such a sunny person. Playfully interacting with his closest people, he thrives in the quiet times of the early morning. It's his favourite time of the day: Sunrise, where the sun returns. (Sundown always felt so negative to him.) Crossing his legs and watching the sky, he radiates happiness and can become incredibly affectionate.

✦ Strengths / Weaknesses ✧:

✦ Flexibility: By some miracle, Kiano's hypermobility skills were viewed as a strength, not a flaw. He is a master contortionist and a beautiful dancer - amazing crowds where ever he wanders. He uses this to his advantage whenever he can, getting around, through and over things that stand in his way.

✦ Combat. As a lone traveller, he's obviously got to be somewhat handy with something sharp. But with his agility plus those sword skills, well - he can be lethal. He is known as the Amur Tiger when doing business, and keeps his performer identity seperate from the one that is involved with the slightly shadier aspects of his life.

✦ Determined: He is a very determined person in all that he does: performing, trading. Once his mind is set, he will achieve his goal. He possesses a feirce loyalty for those few closest to him and will defend them stubbornly - refusing to hear anything negative. His passion drives him into working hard, repeating dance steps over and over again or changing trades so he can receive the prize he wishes for.

✧ Health: For some time now he's been getting aches and pains throughout his body. At first - just like any stubborn dancer - he ignored them, but as he pushed his body's limit further and further it soon began to fail him. He's working on being more patient with himself, but this is a total failure. When he wants to perform, nothing's going to stop him.

✧ Thoughtlessness: Kiano may be quiet, but that doesn't mean he's coming up with a master plan to achieve something brilliant. If he's staring into space he's probably planning another performance or imagining a song in his head, or simply that - staring into space. He's academically intelligent, as he has to be, and has an extensive knowledge of the places he's been to, but that doesn't mean his mind is working all the time.

✧ Shy: As soon as Kiano steps out of his performance attire, he feels the confidence leave with it. He struggles with expressive himself emotionally, and is far from outspoken. Keeping to himself and close friends for the most part, he is unexpectedly quiet. That's why he adores dancing - he can express himself without need for words.

While he is remarkably healthy and athletic, he does occasionally have deep pain in his joints - occasionally so serious he would have to stop performing. Nevertheless he pushes through this, reassuring himself that it will pass.

Mental health/disabilities:

He has some anxiety surrounding social situations. Outside of performing, they actually make him very uncomfortable. And never invade his personal space. He'll initiate a physical interaction if he wishes for one, but will not tolerate any form of touch without his permission.
