Name:
Hrǿríkr
From Old Norse Hróðr meaning “Praise, Fame, Glory” and Ríkr meaning “Ruler, King”
Age:
11 Years
Gender:
Male
Pack Or Group Or Neither:
Everfree
Your Reputation:
In the eyes of the pack, Hrǿríkr was nothing short of an outstanding leader. Though not always as present as his mate, he always held an air of power that could be intimidating to some. Leading during the most hectic of times appeared to be his forte to the naked eye – his ability to come up with plans on the fly and during the most contentious of situations being front and center. Hesitation was never a word in his vocabulary, running head first into anything while thinking along the way. This allowed for the pack to easily adjust to most larger changes rather easily without much disruption. On a more personal level, he treated most of his subordinates with care and generosity. Compliments, praises, tips, and more were all spared for those he deemed worthy of them. His days were often spent training and appraising the current apprentices of the pack, pleased to watch the future of his pack become capable warriors, sentinels, and hunters. To this day, he remains beloved by most of the pack, excluding those that he found major fault in.
In the eyes of his pups, however, he was a completely different wolf. They saw the fiend behind the mask – the true darkness of his heart, only out to bolster up himself. He led them via fear or the desire for praise, with just one of them ever truly receiving it. He dictated everything in their lives that he could, from what they trained in to who they loved. Their main usage, in his eyes, was to preserve his grand image and nearly-perfect bloodline. The only one of his offspring to ever see some semblance of his soft side and some lenience was Sikúnguaĸ – the perfect son. The one he purposely trained to take his place, not that anyone knows. The rest were nothing more than disgraces in his mind for a variety of reasons. Pawns at his disposal that he could lead through fear or false promises to achieve his goals.
Rank:
Previously: Former Lord
Present: Elder
Desired Rank:
Content, and he’s hoping to stick around for some time.
Thoughts On The New Leadership:
Well of course Sikúnguaĸ was the best choice imaginable. He was trained from birth to take the throne. Not that anyone truly knows that, of course. The wintery male has proven to be a capable leader, just as he knew he would turn out to be. There’s no doubt that his skills will rival his own, if not replicate them completely. He is the son he always wanted.
Just How Loyal Are You?:
Extremely. 100/10. It was his choice, after all.
Thoughts On This Rouge Group / The Pack:
A disgusting plague upon their land. A nuisance to be eradicated and made an example of. They dare try and take the land he and his mate carved out? Hmph! He’ll have to advise Sikúnguaĸ on this. Such actions cannot be allowed to slide, even for a second.

To Detail
34 inches
146 pounds (does not look it)
Muscular, but difficult to tell due his thick coat
Definitely has toned down due to age, but is nothing to scoff at
Posture is now a bit hunched over, but makes him appear to be prowling at times
Stride is slow and methodical
Carries a limp in the front which worsens on colder days (an older wound)
Main reason he stepped down, besides wanting to see his some in power
A bit stiffer in the mornings than he once was
~~
Pure white, as simple as that
A wintery individual, with a heart as cold as he appears
Coat deviates very little from his prescribed coloration, with one some creamy highlights around the top of his snout, paws (from constantly getting dirty), and small patches on the front of his front legs
Many long, black whiskers protrude from his face – mainly on the sides of his snout, but some smaller ones along his lower jaw
Black nose that only changes color with scarring (which is present)
Dark brown eyes with a hint of fiery amber within
Difficult to hold his gaze, despite them not being a necessarily cutting hue
He will only relent someone his gaze if he deems it appropriate (which is typically done during acting)
~~
Good amount of scarring
Constantly thrust himself into battle when younger
Slash across left side of throat from the antlers of a young bull elk
Small bite mark on nose from skunk
Larger bite mark long back left leg from cougar
Many nicks on both of his ears
Claw marks on front right leg from bear attack
Causes his limp and is the reason behind his retirement (beside age)
~~
Commanding voice
Hard to ignore
Deeper pitch, but leaning to the medium side
Tone depends on present companions and situation
Confident is the most common tone
Strict and angered when around his pups
Sickly sweet around general pack members, but is hard to pick up on
Soft only towards his mate
Personality:
Strict || Commanding || Intimidating Aura || Some Narcissistic Tendencies || Selfish || Actor || Eloquent || Unassuming || Prideful || Intelligent || Strategic || Experienced || Willing To Make Sacrifices || Manipulative || High Standards || “Patient” || Knows How To Sugarcoat His Words
“Why, what a mighty fine job you’ve done. You’ve served your pack well.”
“Did I permit you to do such a thing,” he snarls, taking a step forward, “Because recall forbidding it!”

Mate:
Iŋgá – The apple of his eye and the one wolf he could ever see as in par to himself.
Offspring:
Sikúnguaĸ – The perfect son. A wolf much like him. He could even consider him an improvement upon himself, if he were to go that far. Then again, few are superior to old Hrǿríkr. The only fault he can pick out from his many perfections is his affinity for his friend and family. But, he can work with that.
Rǫgnvaldr – If it wasn’t clear from the get-go that he could never be the next leader, then his stubborn and rebellious behavior was a sure sign of his incapability to lead. His conflicting views and refusal to take on a much more promising mate turned Hrǿríkr from allowing him to take any higher role within the pack. He was never meant to lead
Arnviðr – A decent son that knows better than to tread on his paws. Easy to control, as well. Most certainly a good pawn to have around.
Eyvǫr – Tsk. A stain to his impeccable bloodline. He had no use for her, except correcting what she had already tainted. Good riddance.
Familial Relationships / Kin:
Open
Affiliations:
Arianwyn – A weak wolf that he held much disdain for. Her choice to become a healer after already being a warrior disgusts him. What’s even worse is that she took interest in that one son of his! She deserved nothing short of a banishment in his eyes. Thankfully, it seems she’s done that job for him.
Drathellos – His favorite little pawn. A undeniably loyal one too. He’d be his bidding within a wave a paw. Shame that his daughter couldn’t settle for him. Would have been a worthwhile pairing.
Open
Other:
- During his rein, Hrǿríkr did his best to ensure that the physically weaker wolves got only the most mediocre of tasks. In his eyes, they were expendable pawns whose only use was doing the tasks of what other packs would consider to be an “omegas.”
Wanna know what I read and then completely forgot about in my previous form? A wolf fact! So I’ll make up for it in two here.
1) Did you know that it is more likely to find a male dispersal wolf than a female dispersal wolf?
2) Black coats in wolves are actually dominant traits while gray coats are recessive! Gray coats being literally any coat that is not considered to be black, which includes the brown coats.
