Name:
Anja
Old Norse Name Meaning “Merciful or Gracious”
Age:
5 years
Gender:
Female
Pack:
Golden Summit
Reputation:
My oh my, does this lady have some reputation. She’s the lowest of the low. The scum of the scum. The dirt and grim beneath one’s paws. You get the idea. There is not one sane wolf that can look this female in the face and act as though she did nothing wrong. But she was not always this way.
~~~
In her younger years, Anja was an incredibly skilled yet kind wolf with very few unsettling aspects to her. Much like her daughter, Lumi, just not as strict or serious. Her main strengths resided in her physical strength and leadership abilities. Her strength was quite a sight to behold, with her being able to knock down some of the heaviest in the pack before she was even two years of age. Her battle skills were a bit lacking though, but nothing she couldn’t and didn’t improve upon. For leadership, it honestly felt as though wolves were naturally drawn to her guidance. She didn’t even have to put up much of a fuss for others to follow her. Even at a young age, she had taken a kindling to leading other youth or unranked around with much ease. And her strategies were decently effective as well. Though, there were aspects of her – even back then – that were a tad off putting. Namely her lack of fear towards any and all dangerous situations. It was always a bit… unnerving to see a wolf so calm in the face of what most would presume to be ensured death. But it could also be seen as empowering to view another so unafraid of impending doom. It, in a way, led to many more wolves following her in an attempt to glimpse or maybe even gain some of what they could only assume was courage.
~~~
Being a natural born leader, essentially “fearless,” having amassed what could be considered a following, and holding a high sense of justice, it was of no surprise to most that she was appointed as the pack’s Honorable Lady. And she was… great at the job! She was great at dealing with civil disputes, acted as an amazing judge, jury, and executioner, and did an all around amazing job at filling in for the Empress when she was ill. Her voice was known for its commanding tone that none could ever fight against, and her immovable drive to better the pack granted the wolves a lot of benefits. She practically acted as though she was everyone’s mother. But… overtime, a shift took place. One that no one could have predicted. Her outwardly kind demeanor diminished, replaced with one of anger and hostility. Her optimism turned to pessimism as she began to spiral into rather dark thoughts. And her inviting aura did a complete ninety degree turn and became foreboding and unapproachable. She began to boss around the pack a bit too much, stretching her reach much further than her title actually allowed. She was quickly put back into her place but she… got to thinking. What if… she was meant to rule? What if it was her bloodline that was supposed to be on that throne, and not the golden lady’s? Her natural born talent of leadership was proof enough that her bloodline was superior to anyone else’s, so why not ensure that it was the one the throne? There was just one issue: the Empress and her pups were standing in her way. But not for long…
~~~
No one is quite sure what caused the… Snap for this female. Maybe power had fully gone to her head? Maybe she saw weakness and tried to exploit it? Could she have always been like this? Or was she actually possessed by a demon? No matter the reason, she did the unthinkable. She slaughtered the Empress’ pups. Without rhyme or reason, claiming that they were impure little demons that she foresaw as being the destruction of the pack. She went on the claim that only her litter could possibly bring back their rightful glory when the time of destruction came… but she was promptly punished for her actions. Now, she is seen as nothing more than a disgraced pup killer, looking for revenge that will never be rightfully hers.
Rank:
An Unmentionable
Desired Rank:
The Empress. And nothing less.
Thoughts On The Wanderers:
Let them come. She’ll help them if she can, as long as they promise her the throne of what’s left of the pack. Anything to get back at that blasted Empress of this pack.
Appearance:
Not much is left of what Anja used to be. What she is now is nothing more than the shell of her former self. But, nonetheless, she is still a sight to behold. She stands at a decent 33 inches tall. Not particularly small but not large either. Her weight comes in around 168 pounds, and is formed more so from muscle than anything else. Then again, considering her current… state, it wouldn’t really have much else to come from. Her build is one of near-pure bulk, with a touch of bone and matted on the side. It is not at all akin to what it used to be, though. And it’s in an almost mangled or completely divided sort of state. The upper half of her form is pure muscles, most of which are located around her shoulders – giving her a rather broad looking look. These shoulders are also high set, or upwards as most would describe them. Which adds a lot of power to her strikes and front-based lunges. Attacking from this would be a death sentence for anyone dumb enough to cross her. Her back end (middle back to tail), however, is completely scrawny. Devoid of most muscle except for what she actually needs to be mobile. Though her legs – all four of them, mind you – are very long. Much like those of the rest of her family. A trait that seems to run in the bloodline, it seems. When walking (or in most any stance for that matter), she constantly hangs her head slightly downwards – keeping her eyes out of everyone’s direct eye contact. But this is not at all done out of respect. Rather, it is a showcase of injuries dealt to her for her “crimes.” If she could look others in the eye without having to lay down, she would. But it does formulate an oddly intimidating stance, so she’ll take it. And her fluffy cheeks are more than welcome, if not to add a hint of unassuming “innocence” to her. Not that it really does much, but it can cause younger individuals to drop their guard a bit.
The female looks down at the wolves standing before her, eyes set ablaze with confidence and face displaying a look of seriousness. She sets a paw forward, lifting her head up high, and begins to speak, “A pack is made of a group of individuals all with unique skills. These individuals work together in order to form a well oiled machine, and they must put their all into the machine in order to keep it running. ‘Else it crumbles under their own desires and selfish wishes for something greater.”
A maniacal laugh rumbles from her hunched form, shaking her entire body – her head cast downward and her ears shaking from the movements. Suddenly, her head snaps up and her chilling gaze – filled with mania and glee, drenched in malice and illentent – lands upon your own. There was no wolf left in her. She was nothing more than a monster, now. A devil.“Oh, my dear, sweet child. Is that what you really think of me? You give me too much credit.”
Relationship Status:
TBD
Mate:
Not anymore
Crush:
None
Exes:
Asbiom – A former mate, even if she still considers him as hers despite his treachery. He abandoned her the minute things got rough, and refused to aid her in her devilish plans. She believes that he should have gotten punished with her. Then again, she’s willing to give him a second chance if he wishes to come crawling back.
Family:
Open
Offspring:
Lumi – Ah, her own flesh and blood. The spitting image of her from her younger years. Personality wise, anyway. Honestly, she truly wishes to get closer to her daughter and provide some… tips of your will. Maybe even bond over their previous similarities? Who knows. All Anja knows is that her wintery offspring is very skilled in battle which could land her a rather high position. One that could… bring her close to the empress. (“Yes, yes. That… would be splendid.”)
Vígnir – Her least favorite of her children. Honestly, if she were given the chance, this would have been the only (and probably only) child of hers she would have killed. That disgusting empathy of his has no place in her bloodline. Not to mention that he’s the one who sticks with Lumi the most. Despicable.
Snjeana – Anja is neither here nor there on her youngest daughter. She’s just another wolf she didn’t get the chance to mold. Loves her attitude, but is disgusted by her “ass-kissing” and softer tendencies.
Wisteria – Ah, Wisteria. Her precious daughter. The only one that still sticks around her. The only one that she’s been given the chance to shape to her own pleasing.
Affiliations:
Aouregan – The one standing in the way of her throne.
Other:
- Back in her prime, Anja was one of the physically strongest wolves in the pack. Now, she’s just a hobbling sack of bones and hide. Her physical prowess has all but left her, even if she still carries great strength in those bones.
I miss my watermelon garden. Stupid deer jumping the six foot fence. ;-;
