Appearance:
Xola is an elegant and sleek wolf, although quite petite when compared to the adults within her pack. She stands at a mere 30 inches at the shoulder, if not a tad less. Her weight matches this theme, coming in at only 125 pounds. Due to her small stature, she is often mistaken for an apprentice – despite being as old as she is. Her build is a rather slim one, carrying little to no noticeable muscle mass. All of this, however, just adds to her elegance – allowing for her to be incredibly agile and swift. However, her strength is greatly sacrificed because of this. If a battle were to ensue, her only option would be to run.

The petite female’s fur is mostly a dark black in color, akin to that of a moonless night. However, its shade is not one of brewing turmoil or prowling evil, but of serenity and peace. A soft hue that gives the wolf a calming presence that most wish to surround themselves with. Cutting through this black is a lighter, brownish hue of the same color. It runs along all aspects of her form except her ears and face, giving her some contrast and energy to her serene night-black coat. Some gray hairs can be seen running about her face – mainly along her muzzle and forehead – making an arcing type pattern that curls down between her eyes before heading to the side of her mouth. All of this fur is somewhat short in length, not as long as other wolves but not short enough to make her look completely scrawny. Though, her fur can be a bit lacking during the winter months, causing her to seek out other wolves to share a den with in order to keep warm. The fluffiest parts of her pelt are her cheeks and tail, giving her a slightly plush looking appearance at times.

Much to her glee, very few scars cut through her fur (with a lot of the credit for this going to her own healing skills). There are no notable scars that one can pick out, but those they can see are mostly located along her shoulders. However, few pay much attention to the female’s scars, for they are often too focused on her face. In particular, her eyes. The night-black wolf has some of the most striking and unforgettable eyes. They are a bright honey-amber, soft and sweet while still solid and stern. Sort of like the eyes of a mother. Though, given the right light, they can look as hot and wild as fire. These eyes are not only in great contrast to her coat, but to her deep black nose – which oddly sticks out against her already black coat. Some say that the she-wolf once dipped her nose into the sky of a moonlit night (unlike the moonless stade of her pelt) and part of it stuck with her.

Xola’s voice matches well with her overall appearance, being as soft as silk and as sweet as honey. This makes her sound like a caring mother to most other wolves. A timid one at that with how quiet she always is. However, when tending to stubborn patients or rowdy pups, her voice can become quite stern and slightly louder than normal. Even when the offending wolf is much older than herself, she will take on this tone if they refuse to listen.
Personality:
Soft Spoken || Wise || Kind || Gentle || Pacifist || Humble || Mellow || Playful
“Life is too short to be wishing for war. And it will be even shorter if there is to be one.”
Xola is an incredibly soft spoken wolf. Her words are always hushed and smoothe, like the comforting voice of a mother or a soft lullaby. It may be hard to hear her at times with how quiet she can be, as though she were just a whisper of a promise being carried through the wind. But, do not expect her to raise her voice. She will not. Very rarely do harsh words come from her jaws. If they do, know that they are well intentioned and are in no way meant to degrade. Though, her tone will remain quiet during these interactions.

As is stereotypical of healers, the night-pelted wolf is quite wise in many aspects – and this wisdom has only increased over the years. It is not uncommon for the she-wolf to give helpful advice to her pack members, even if they don’t ask for it. And if they don’t listen to what she’s saying, she’ll leave before coming back another to reinforce the suggestion. She just hopes they’ll eventually listen before they learn the hard way. She also knows how to handle a decent amount of stressful situations – especially when it comes to conflicts between the packs or from within her own. Though, she will try her hardest not to get too involved in these disputes. She knows that she would not be able to handle herself if it came down to a fight.
~🍁~
If it was not already apparent, the honey eyed female has quite the gentle and kind soul. She cares deeply for all the wolves around her – even if they do not reciprocate these feelings. It does not matter if the wolf is a loner, pack member, or canine from the rival pack. She will show them nothing but kindness and try her best to help them in the most gentle way possible.
~🍁~
However, her kind and gentle nature comes at a cost. She is a pacifist – a dangerous trait to have in a world and time such as this. She refuses to harm other wolves under any circumstance. Even if her own life is being threatened, she will refuse to fight back. She would not be able to live with herself if she harms another – accident or no. After all, she is a healer. They are meant to make the sick, broken, and injured whole and healthy again. Harming or even killing a wolf would be going against the very thing is and what she is meant to do.
~🍁~
So, it is of no surprise that the she-wolf is considered to be quite humble. She cares more about others than her own self, always putting their health and safety first. This does not mean that she cares nothing about her own well being. She does! And she makes sure to take very good care of herself. I mean, without her the pack would be worse off than they are now. No one to heal the sick or care for the injured would spell disaster for the group – especially if a war is to truly start. She just doesn’t see herself as better or more important than those around her. However, if she had to choose between herself and another wolf, she would always choose the other wolf.
~🍁~
Despite often being worked to the bone, Xola is a rather playful wolf. Not in an energetic or mischievous manner (most of the time), but in a joking type of way. She enjoys a good prank or simple pun every once in a while. It lifts the spirits of others and keeps her motivated in her work. She genuinely cannot understand how some wolves must always be so serious. There’s times in which that is needed, sure, but there’s also times where a simple break or joke would be greatly beneficial. So, it is of no surprise that she’ll try and make small talk to those who are forced to visit her den in order to lift their spirits. Unless the situation is a matter of life and death, she’ll try and keep it as light hearted as possible.

Keefe – She enjoys his mischievous behavior, and is half tempted to join him whenever he gets up to something. Xola just wishes that he wouldn't be so harsh on himself all the time.

Other:
- While Xola does get a lot of herbs near the border of the clearing, she sees no reason to fight over it. It just seems like a pointless waste of wolf lives. Though, she will not be complaining if her pack were to take it over.
- Xola is not particularly interested in having pups. She fears that caring for them will take time away from her job. However, now that she has an apprentice, she is less worried about this as he can simply take up some of the duties she cannot perform.
- The petite wolf despises those who flaunt their power or appearances. She finds it utterly disgusting for these canines to be so prideful. However, she is too weak and shy to say anything about this.
- Sometimes, the she-wolf wonders whether or not her pack actually respects her. She is not as bloodthirsty as the rest of her fellow packmates, and nowhere near as strong. So, do they truly respect her, or are they keeping her around just long enough for her to pass on her skills?
Let me know if you would like me to change anything. ^^
Edit: Added the crush. Thanks again Tea. ^^
