Appearance:Aric has a more unique coat color and how the back markings are arranged. The base color of the pleage is a lovely shade of pale gold, with deeper golden coloring his muzzle and creating a barely visible mask on the lower part of his face as a result of a hint of lighter fur right underneath his eyes, and a hue that is almost copper shading the fur underneath his ears. His markings are colored the typical almost black dark grey shade that makes an appearance on almost any wolf's coat. His back has the typical blanket of this dark gray, with patches of the underlying light gold peeking through, creating a somewhat mottled appearance. A noticable deviation of the back marking is the large piece of pale gold continuing just past his shoulders, arranged in a rough circular shape, and going over his shoulders, not dipping down to either side of them though. This piece of the base coat is shot through here and there with barely visible streaks of gray. Of course, the gray is present on his forehead area, creating the typical 'mask' or 'wing' marking that most wolves have, save for some unique ones or the solid black or white ones. The gray creating that marking is a bit lighter than the almost black shade that colors his back.
Aric's eyes are a light yellow, almost the shade of pale gold his pelage is. Clear and vivid, they are a little on the side of unique; other wolves' eyes are usually a really pale shade, almost a white or silvery in color, some have the light yellow eyes as he does, and some have darker brown or amber colored eyes. Due to the slightly darker, richer fur around his eyes, they seem to stand out a little bit more. The same effect darker colored wolves with those fiery amber eyes have, created by bright eyes in comparison to the facial coloration.
Standing at 31 inches at the shoulder, Aric isn't the tallest wolf in the pack, and he is the shortest of the warlords; but he can still be intimidating. And has enough capability to bring down something, or someone. Having a more slender build, Aric is more suited for speed and agility rather than brute strength; but he is not to be underestimated in terms of strength, there's a reason why the Earl chose him to be a Warlord; and he is one of the most skilled warriors. And he is not one to be underestimated. His fur length is a little shorter than normal, but otherwise he looks just like a normal wolf; he does have scars littering his body, but for the most part the fur hides them. Lips can be peeled back to expose a mouth of forty-two white, sharp teeth; of course the thing to watch out for is not only the ripping, tearing teeth, but the jaws which possess enough strength to break bone if he has a good grip of given several tries; depending on what he's biting.

He tends to be a little bit nicer to the lower ranks; unless they have done something to wrong him, or something of the like, and it's quite uncommon to witness him mistreat a lower ranked wolf; while he does have a vicious streak, which will be touched on later, he's a nicer wolf, especially when compared with his packmates. But do not mistake this for weakness, however. Yes, he is a bit kinder and compassionate in general; yes, he doesn't abuse his power like some would; yes, he isn't really the sort that derives pleasure from making others suffer. But keep in mind that he was born and raised within the pack; that he grew up with his vicious lifestyle; that he is one of the most skilled warriors in the pack's ranks; that there is a reason why he holds the rank of Warlord and is one of the Earl's most trusted wolves. Do not underestimate his naturally nicer personality, because there is clearly hardness woven throughout it. Furthermore, even if he was the type to be very compassionate, he would hide it; knowing better than to show it other than in small amounts. For the record, no, he is not the type to have empathy for every little thing.
He clearly is a fierce one, typically seen in battle, as outside of it he has a more calmer demeanor. But he is a warrior, raised with a fighting lifestyle, and he is
very good at combat. Anyone who thinks he is weak because of a nicer personality would surely be proven wrong if they saw him fighting. Ruthless and knowing how to make the most of his strengths, in his case, speed and agility; he has enough strength to make contact with his opponent, and he has speed and agility on his side, meaning that he can beat his opponent with shock before the fighting really picks up.
He is quite loyal, although it is not really a blind loyalty. He can see flaws and mistakes in what some of the pack does, or will do; but they're his family, he grew up with the pack and ties such as that cannot be erased easily. While he doesn't agree sometimes, he still has loyalty to them. It's a complicated matter, and there are times where Aric is conflicted between his personal feelings and loyalty; it has caused him some grief in the past, and will likely continue to do so.
The side of him that would be concealed for the most part, unless in the company of loved ones, and depending on who they are, even not with them. But in regards to those he loves, truly loves, he is a nice wolf to be around; gentle and quiet, and would listen to any rants or concerns the other party would bring up. And in return, it is likely that he would voice concerns and the conflict that goes on with him. Sometimes it's just better to let out something like that, instead of mulling it over and stewing on it. He doesn't have anyone he trusts enough to truly confide in, though, and the thoughts are only in his head, unspoken.
Backstory:Nothing very complicated. Born wholly into the pack, by parents who had also been born into the pack; he was raised in this life and has never known any other. He worked hard, and eventually was chosen to be a Warlord.
