Name: Cleopatra Van Hertling
Alias/Nickname: Cleo or Pirate Name: Athena of the Seas
Gender: Female
Age: 24
Sexuality: Heterosexual and Monogamous
Role in Society: She is a simple villager but was a captain of a pirate ship. Now she is a "simple" merchant.
Species: Shifter with a dragon form.
Reputation:
Cleo has worked hard to have a "clean" reputation with the towns people. She keeps her pirating background close to her chest but does have momentos around her shop that if one looked closely would see that she wasn't always as clean as portrays herself. It is known that she has connections that may not be the most savory to get some items that may not be the most easily accessible. Also she is a bit of a rowdy drunkard if she gets to drinking.

Appearance: Cleo knows she has curves and she uses them to her advantage. She has shapely hips that melt into long athletic legs. Her upper body has a slightly larger than normal but not over large chest with a flat stomach that many have envied her for. She has a soft round face with a barely noticeable cleft chin. Her eyes are round with a little button nose that gives her a more natural beauty with a naturally tanned skin tone from many years spent on the ocean.
Cleo has deep chocolate brown almost black eyes that seem to pull people in when she talks. Her lips are full and plump sometimes wearing a shade of dark red to contrast the makeup that she does around her eyes to try and brighten the darkness. She has waist length dark brown hair that carries a natural wave when she is fresh out of the water. Cleo has two piercings on both ears and her cartilage pierced on the left one. Many times, she will have a chain connecting two of the piercings on her left ear to adjourn the rim of the ear. She has two full sleeves of different animal tattoos that look like they are coming out from under her skin in certain areas. She also has a simple rose tattoo on her right thigh in the shape of a garter, though many do not get to see this tattoo unless they catch her off guard.
Normal clothes for the young woman are usually a men’s billowy shirt with a black corset over the top combined with dark brown or black riding pants and riding boots. She has a solid 5'8" frame but can appear slightly taller when she is wearing her boots. The young woman has a barrage of different blades that rest on her hips, but most notably are the two daggers with dragons on the hilts. The blades look simple until one gets close enough to notice the fine detail done in the hilts for the dragons. The blades of both of these daggers are the famed Dragon Stone, a gift from her mother's noble father when he tried to kill her father for stealing away her mother.
Though many would not think the female is self conscience of the scar that adorns the bottom of her left jaw and across her neck, a nasty rope burn from a fall when she was not as accustomed to the churning waves, the female does her best to keep it hidden with a scarf. There are also scars that run along her back from fighting with her father to become Captain of The Siren's Song.
Dragon Appearance: Many would think that with the woman's dark hair and eyes that her dragon would also carry that through, however, the only mark that gives away the female's identity is the scars along her neck and back. When the female shifts, her eyes change to an icy sky blue and her hair changes into freshly fallen snow colored scales. Horns adorn her jawline getting larger the closer they are to her throat, almost acting as a shield. Though her head is more feminine in design, two larger horns at the base of her head and curve upward give a more regal appearance.
Her wings carry the white hue even on the skin that stretches. Her body is built more for speed than strength but the muscles that cover her body are evident in even the smallest of movements. The dragon looks as though she could kill her with a simple look and instead of fire, she shoots out bolts of electricity. One of the very few left that can.
She is on the larger side, standing at almost 250 ft tall at her shoulder and her wingspan is 500 ft from tip to tip. From the tip of her nose to the tip of her tail, she is 300 ft long.
Personality: Cleo is reserved in appearance alone. Behind closed doors, Cleo prefers to speak her mind and wants to enjoy her time with friends. She is headstrong like her father but will try to listen and work through the problem without getting frustrated. She prefers to spend her time watching those around her and can usually be found watching people with a book in her hand to appear as though she is reading.
Cleo is loyal to her father and the few of the crew that she has grown up around. They are all part of her family and even though she wishes she did not have to keep her gender a secret while working on the ship, Cleo would not change where she is in her life. She loves children and wants to start a family of her own one day but hasn’t found the right guy to capture her heart.
The young woman is also captivated by the sheer power and uncertainty about the ocean waters. She never tires of staring down into the depths wondering what is going on below the surface that she isn’t able to see. Something has always drawn her to the dark waters whether it be the stories or her father’s blood that courses through her veins.
The woman loves getting into mischief, as it usually finds her, even if it ends with her having to run away for whatever reason. She can be a bit prideful when it comes to questioning her abilities with a ship, and will get defensive. Even though she will use her feminine guiles to get things, she is adamant about respect and isn't afraid to cut someone's hand off for touching her without asking. She is charismatic, however, she doesn't have a good poker face. She gets along with most people but does need to be reminded when her opinions are showing on her face.

*Maybelle* - Cleo has a working relationship with Maybelle. Maybelle provides herbs and Cleo gets her trinkets.
*Aeris* - Helps supply with blacksmithing supplies.
*Basilius Weylin* - Cleo gets different books in and will read new ones to Basilius whenever he comes into her shop or askes her to. She also is helping teach the male how to read again himself, though she secretly enjoys spending time reading to him. He at least gives feedback where Neve just stares blankly at her. With Basilius being older than her, *cough cough by a lot cough cough*, she views him as a father figure so there is a little more effort to impress him.
Backstory*: As far as Cleo knows, she is the only daughter of the famed Pirate Captain Ironheart. A man known for his unwavering determination, unyielding nature, and the strength of his scales being compared to iron. The man had been docked in one of the various seaside towns when he met Cleo's mother. The woman was the daughter of a local nobleman and the pair were a hurricane when it came to their love. While they loved each other fiercely, the pair would get into lengthy heated arguments when it came up that Cleo's mother wanted to return home to raise a newborn Cleo.
It was after one of the heated arguments when Cleo received the rope burn along her neck as she had climbed up one of the various ropes, being a rambunctious child, and fell as a stronger wave rocked the boat. She got tangled in the ropes as she fell and her mother was the one to save the small child from falling into the ocean. Captain Ironheart couldn't bring himself to see the injury that had happened to the apple of his eye and instead withdrew into himself, pushing the two people he loved away.
Cleo's mother took the chance to take the girl onto land when they reached the first seaside town after the accident. Of course, being a merchant city, the pair got separated and Cleo's father happened to find his daughter sitting on the edge of the ramp to his ship crying without her mother. It was at that point that Cleo never heard from her mother again and her father raised her as part of the crew. Life wasn't easy once she was put into performing the daily duties with the rest of the crew and of course she got into her fair share of heated arugments with the Captain.
Skipping ahead through the boring formative years that were mostly filled with endless miles of sea, but also the occasional running away from city guards or a naval ship. Cleo is now 18 and is deeply invested in another one of the heated arguments with her father. She wanted to try and find her mother, knowing that the woman must be alive, and her father vehemitly denying her the option. Between her untamed power and his bullheadedness it was brought up for her to fight him to take his position so that she could do whatever she wanted or leave. Of course she readily agreed and the two shifters were soon in the air, white scales stark against the dark iron colored scales of the larger dragon.
The fight could have ended with a death, had her father not seen the same raging fire in the eyes of his daughter held beneath his clawed foot, blood from the deep cuts along her back seeping into the worn wood of the deck. He released the raging young shifter and after making sure she was properly cared for, he left a note stating that he was going to look for her mother and she was to take care of the ship.
Cleo ran the Siren's Song for 2 years that were filled with many sleepless nights filled with reading/learning and mistakes that would have been avoided had a seasoned captain been in charge, but her crew stayed by her as best as they could have and it wasn't until they reached the last port of their travels, would Cleo disband the crew and make sure her father's ship was kept away from prying eyes. She had received a letter that her parents had been found murdered and a part of the young woman broke. As a testament to her father, she hid away the ship, letting the stories grow about the famed Siren and Captain Ironheart.
After making sure her ship was safe and the crew were taken care of, the female traveled inland following the river that led to Mirstone. With the remaining balance from her hidden treasure, other than what she left on the ship for emergency circumstances, Cleo opened her own storefront filling it with many items that spoke of the sea or adventures. Of course she also carries some practical items and takes ideas for anything the towns people may want to see. She has been running the store for the past couple of years and even though her heart yearns to go back out on the open waves, she reminds herself that she has the rolling waves always within her heart.
Other: "Just because you think it is a smart idea to anger the guards, does not mean that I enjoy running all of the time." or "You will address me as Captain or I will make sure that you don't eat anything other than eels for the rest of this trip...Or I could just leave you to the demons in the Sea."
*Please let me know if I need to change anything. I am also open to her parents not actually being dead and coming back."
