My Yearling Name: Kokoro "Koko" Meaning: "Heart" Age: 1 Year, 3 Months Kokoro was one of the first foals born in the previous foaling season. Gender: Female Herd: The Plains Herd Rank: Yearling Desired Rank: Lead Mare, like Ma Appearance: Kokoro isn't exactly a small filly, standing at approximately 15.1 hands at the wither, showing she's definitely going to be on the taller side as she ages and matures. She's going to end up somewhere around 17 hands tall, not a height to mock or laugh at, but still a little shy of the powerful build of her father. Her stature isn't one of bulk or brawn, even if she were at her full adult measurements. As a yearling, she's generally on the lighter side compared to adult horses, but even as an adult, Kokoro isn't going to be notably bulky. Koko will grow to be sturdy in the way of lean muscle and sure-footedness, and she's well on the way even now. She still has those clumsy moments of someone figuring out the body they're growing into, but day by day, the filly is growing more and more confident in her strides. Her legs are long, and will likely remain that way, even in her adult life, following somewhat in the path of her fathers figure, minus the bulk. Her coat is that of a sooty bay, with onyx legs, parted only by by white at the base of her two left legs. On her forelegs, they reach almost until her chest, not being quite as high on her hind legs. Her body is marked by the sooty markings, with a heavier collection of them along her spine, making it appear almost black beneath the coppery-red shade of her bay coat. This darker color arches along her neck beside her mane, leaving her ears dark, and her face shades of almost-black and a dark copper-red, with her nose being completely black. Kokoro's eyes, like her father, are a deep shade of brown, so deep that they often appear black, although hers generally seem much friendlier than his. It makes her feel like she's achieving things when she completes them, no matter how small or easy the task was. Similarly, Koko is a perfect candidate to give tasks, no matter how boring or gruelling. It makes her feel useful to complete her goals and tasks, and especially useful when she knows it's actively helped someone. Of course, the filly can be described as having something of a single-track thought process at times. Give her a task, and she may spend hours focusing on only that task, but rest assured that it will be done. She works hard to complete any jobs given to her, to prove herself, to be useful. She's strong willed and stubborn at the best of times, after all. Despite that, Koko is still young. She has times where her only goal is to have fun, to play and goof off. She enjoys surrounding herself with friends and family, she enjoys playing games, laughing and enjoying herself. Even if she strives to be perfect, to be reliable and useful, she's still only young. And, even with her desire to be around her friends and family, there are times where even Koko wants to just be by herself, like every teenager. Like anyone else, though, Kokoro knows that there are times to be serious. She knows when to drop playtime, when to stop goofing off, and when it's time to be serious and more grown-up. Even in this scenario, she likes to be useful, and wants to do whatever she can to help, which is another reason for her growing serious, to use her confidence and reliability for a good cause. My Lone Mare Name: Suha Age: 6 Years Old Gender: Female Herd: None Rank: Lone Mare Desired Rank: Herd Mare She just wants a safe place for her and her child. Appearance: Specifically the mare on the left. Suha is a mare of an overall rather average height, standing at 15.3 hands high at the shoulder, with a somewhat bulky build. Her body is muscular and thick, with powerful shoulders and hind quarters. She's sure footed, and seems to have a certainty to her movements and steps, rarely allowing hesitance to show in her physical form. The mare is a leopard appaloosa with a black base coat, but with a few oddities across her body. The white of her appaloosa markings covers most of her body, but stops very suddenly midway down her legs, leaving the bottom half completely black, and the clear markings taper off slightly along her neck, and leave her head almost completely black. Her mane is predominently white, with a few grey or black locks here and there, and her forelock is a darker shade of grey. Her tail is mostly black, streaks of white littered throughout it. Her voice is mid-range and sweet in tone, the kind of comforting tone, like a mothe reading a bedtime story. Her scent is like the scent rain gives off when it hits the earth. Also open to a foal, and an adopted foal of the same age. All of her children are sired by Feanor, including the adopted foal. Kin: None Other: All the offspring with her are sired by Feanor, but only one foal is hers biologically. The other was birthed by an appaloosa palomino mare that passed away after the birth. Suha took the foal in and just calls the foals twins in the palomino's absence. |

M A R A Age: 4 Gender: Mare Herd: Plains Herd Rank: Herd Mare Desired Rank: Content Credits to Alla-equi on DA for images. Appearance Mara is a tall, lithe creature, standing around 16.3 hands and sporting long legs, a slightly arched neck, and a refined head. Her movements are smooth and seem to be drawn out, almost slow motion at times. Each stride shows off powerful musculature that is well-balanced with her more elegant features. Her ebony coat is short and sleek; it has a healthy sheen to it during the warmer months and becomes a little duller as her winter coat thickens it overall. A small snip and the faintest hint of a star are the only white markings on her body. She is well-proportioned, not too lanky or burly. Mara's build pairs well with her confident, graceful movements, and she sits at a happy medium between brute force and speed or agility. While she cannot claim to blow anyone out of the water in either regard, she is certainly capable of holding her own for any of them. Obviously, a stallion would have to be quite young or in rough shape for her to win a physical battle, but she would give most mares a run for their money-- not that she is big on instigating violence. Her expression is usually a calm, knowing one with a subtle aloofness to it. It is not unfriendly, per se, but it is certainly not inviting, either. She lacks the appearance of maternal warmth that some other mares radiate, instead replacing it with a cooler, more curt one. This is not to say she is lacking in the maternal department -- she just doesn't express her more endearing emotions as readily. Her expression shifts very little unless her emotions are more strongly felt. Her dark eyes are the window to her soul, but that window is usually shuttered. Personality Observant -- Stubborn -- Quick-Witted -- Intelligent -- Lower Energy -- Aloof -- Blunt -- Somewhat Patient -- Stern -- Family-Oriented -- Loyal? -- Takes No Crap While she may appear knowledgeable well beyond her years, Mara is still young and inexperienced, and she owns it. Her wisdom comes from following her elders, obeying commands, and observing outcomes of different situations. Her forte is watching with a calm, collected demeanor. She does not rise up in emotion as easily as other young horses, and she can hold her own in a battle of wits. Mara always dons a smooth expression, any emotion displaying in her eyes. Even then, her emotes are mild. Faint displeasure, for example, or a note of pride. It is extremely difficult to get a raise out of her, as she is quite good at deflecting comments or actions that she finds antagonizing. Despite this more languid base, she is not one to be run over. Her strength is a quiet one but it is there. Mara is the silent bearer of burdens, always ready to help her family through a hard time, and she will fight to the death to protect those she cares about. She is mostly loyal to her herd, though she may not always agree with decisions made, and she usually sticks to the rules. If she does bend or break them, it is mild and doesn't put others in danger. She does have an adventurous side to her as well, though it only really comes out around foals, who hold the dearest place in her heart. They are her favorite members of the herd, and she is always willing to play with them. Mara grew up too fast, as her mother died early on in her life and left her to fend for herself; playing around with the foals gives her a glimpse at what could have been and of what she wants for her offspring. Overall, this mare is wise and mature but lacks the power over others that comes with age. Mara is altruistic and charismatic, but she takes no nonsense and is not afraid to critique others for negative actions. She is not easily riled up but will unleash all of Hell on anyone who threatens those she cares about. Crush None yet Mate None Foals Nadzeya Kin Open Other Done for now. [ My Deputy Mare ]  Name:Ursa Age: Seven Gender: Mare Herd: The Plains Herd Rank: The Deputy Mare Desired Rank: She's Satisfied Appearance: Stock Images. Her frame being powerful and stocky in build. Being perfect mixture of bulk and leaness. Her legs are lithe in appearance helping her to move swiftly while her hindquarters are powerfully built which gives her more power in her kick and more oompft in her run. Her coat is of buttermilk bucksin coloration, it being a lovely pale tone. The coat being a gorgous pale gold color and it shimmers brilliantly in the sun. It meshes well with her tenebrous mane and tail. Her tail being long and sweeping the ground. She also has four black socks, almost to her forearms. Her eyes are a dark browish-grey color with her scent being wildflowers mixed with honey and the poisonous wolfsbane Personality: This mare has an elegant and graceful bearing. She holds her head high and walks with long strides. Her eyes always seem to be roaming, watching, and calculating. She was raised by a mare that was a Queen in her own right and who taught her to act like one. This mare walks with the best posture she can muster and likes to make sure her head is high. It may be viewed as haughty or arrogant to do such a thing but no. She wants to make sure she looks her best. Even when she's beaten and worn down she'll muster the strength to hold her head up high and give a smartass smile. She may not have a literal crown but she acts as if she wears one. There is purpose in her step and she strides as if she owns the world. Nothing can bring her down. Neither insults nor physical pain. She'll just bear through it with a smile on her face or a look of ”did you really just go there?” This mare is quite dominant in behavior and doesn't take do being told what to do well (albeit if you're the boss then she'll do it.) If and when she is ever in charge she expects you to do what she says in a timely and fashionable manner. If you don't do what she says or dare disobey her then this mare will be quite upset. She can be angry with you and you don't even know it. Only those attentive can catch on to the slight angry twitch of her ear, tail, or eye. Not to mention her voice might raise just a slight octave and her words will convey her displeasure. To see a fire in her eyes or her tail flicking annoyed it means: This mare is not happy. This female can be quite the character when it comes to her play on words. She is quite humorous at times, liking to crack a quick joke or two. However, these times she's not in the mood for games or jokes. She's grown more serious and sarcastic. She doesn't have a temper and has quite a bit of patience. However, that being said if you do push her more than you should then this mare becomes quite angry. The mildest form of her anger will be shown in her behavior: from a small stamp of her hoof, swiveling of her ears and tail, or an overly loud snort. When she is angry then she will spit insults at you ( if you prompt her to do so.). Her words will be venomous yet delivered in the sweetest tone she can bear. If she is truly enraged then you had better run because this will entail her attempting to bite, nip, or kick you. Basically, anything to inflict pain. This is only reserved if you dare to physically attack her or someone she cares for ( friends, family, or children.) This female is a stern individual. She knows how to give orders and receive them as well. This mare is not below being talked about if she does something wrong. However, she'd rather you do it to her face than behind her back. She doesn't like others that talk behind your back. If they can't say it to your face then it's nothing worth mentioning. It's just common decency to know what someone is complaining about so she can attempt to fix it (if possible). She is very protective of her children. She has seen too many foals die because of inattentive parents. This mare doesn't like any random or unfamiliar mare or stallion reprimanding her child (unless they are of higher rank. Then again even if it is a stallion she'll tell him in the politest way to ’fuck off’. Of course, the father of her children has the authority to discipline. Also, if she has a sister, she being the Aunt of the foal may do so as well, or if she considers a friend worthy of such privilege then she may too.) This mare raises her children well. She expects them to be well-mannered and not cause a lot of trouble. She knows children are energetic and want to have fun but she won't tolerate her child always getting into trouble. She gives a bit of hard love whether it be a swift kick to the rump or nip to the ear to get them to listen and obey. This dame loves her children and would sacrifice her life for them. The children must look out for their siblings and love each other. Yes, they may have disputes and arguments but they must realize they're family and family always stick together. This female holds a certain gentleness when dealing with her younger children but as they grow older they mustn't be coddled but instead taught the way of life. When it comes to dating and romance, no one is worthy of her son or daughter. You may try and win her favor if you wish, but you dare disrespect her or break her child’s heart then this mother will pull you straight to the depths of hell. This mare holds a faintly aloof disposition. Yes, she may like to socialize, but that's on her time. If she doesn't want to talk then she'll give a polite glare but if you insist on blabbering on then she'll just walk off. She's not particularly interested in gossip but she does love good drama. Her aloofness is a bit faint as she'll be courteous towards you but she may appear uninterested in what you're saying. However, she does listen to you. It's one of her missions: know everyone's name and who they belong to. If you're gonna bother her then she might as well get to learn your name and those who you mingle with (even if its from a distance.) This female has a rational outlook. She likes being reasoned with logic and words not fighting. However, if when it comes to debates you won't want to argue with this lass. Due to her observant nature, she can and remember things said or done that can be used against you. She listens to both sides of a story and attempts to make the right logical decision. She's not perfect so she doesn't always get it right. If you don't like her opinion or decision well that's on you because you asked her and she gave you her honest opinion. In some manners, she can be brutally honest. What's the point in hiding the grimness of a situation if lives are at stake? She knows it's best not to scare young ones but they should at least be told that something bad has happened, and not fed untruths or coverups. Such coddling could harm them and not prepare them for the real world. Whether it's a small decision or a large one she always thinks about it. She wants to be a sage mare and not one to foolishly run into situations she can't handle. So she finds better company in older and experienced mares. She doesn't need a man, she can fight her own battles(and if she loses so what. At least she went out trying.) She doesn't like being treated like some fragile flower or object so flowery words don't work on her. The stallion that obtains her heart must respect her and be able to deal with a mare like her. And he damn well better treat her right.
