It has its flaws, (ahem, those that don't approve of him) like all things, but it's as close to perfect as it comes.

Appearance:
5'11" 205lbs - dark brown hair - lean yet muscular - blue eyes - warm medium olive skin tone
This young man ;) stands at the wonderful height of 5'11", height being a trait he shared with his wife that they passed on to a few of their children (though some didn't get the hint). He weighs in at about 205 pounds, being well muscled yet lean. He used to weigh something like 220, and stood an inch taller at 6ft, but that was in better days. For body type, think something like Benedict Cumberbatch.
Edward still possesses a beautiful full head of thick, dark brown hair. A peep of silver can be seen coming through on a few strands, but it isn't evident quite yet. He wears his hair shorter on the sides and longer on top, combed back with a minimal amount of gel, allowing a few wavy strands to break free and fall into his face, though they appear to be only complimenting his regal appearance. To compliment his dark hair shade, is his lovely warm olive toned skin. Though his ocean blue eyes contrast remarkably with his dark features, an aspect of his appearance he quite enjoys, and a trait he passed down to one or two of his children as well.
His face is nicely defined, and he was quite the looker just a decade ago, somebody for whom women would swoon. He hasn't gotten used to the idea of aging, and is still this same man in his head. His jaw is nicely defined, though covered in a short beard all the way around, though the beard doesn't cover his chin, except a little rectangle in the middle that goes up to his lip (think RDJ except the beard goes up to his sideburns). His cheeks are a decent height though not overly defined, and his nose is a strong roman nose with a mild bump on the bridge. His face is covered in the lines of age and anxiety due to his position, though he also has prominent smile lines. Overall, his face is a rectangular shape.
Attire: You better believe this king is going to flaunt his wealth. He wears golden jewelry only, except for his sword necklace he won in a tournament, that is silver. He usually wears royal red or purple garments and always has a nice shirt on underneath, though plain, so the attention is brought to his accessories. He is well groomed and prides himself on looking pristine.

He is the bomb, that's his entire mindset. If he doesn't believe it, what's to make others want to believe it? That's his view, anyway. He carries himself with pride and often wears a jolly, though sometimes judgmental, expression. It comes with the grounds of his rank. He gets to act better than everybody else because he is. Mind you, he isn't always insufferably cocky, just a lot of the time. Confidence, though, radiates from him constantly.
Being in a position such as his, he also has the leeway to be stubborn. He isn't unnecessarily so, but he can't afford to go back and forth all the time, a kingdom can't be run like that. His ear is always open to those wishing to offer advice, though he is cautious in this lest their words be coated in poison. He is a somewhat manipulative and crafty individual himself, so he understands quite well that others near him are the same.
Age has made this man wise. He doesn't always act wise, sometimes he acts like an impulsive teenager, which he is at heart, but he wrangles this side in to carry on with his duties. He is knowledgeable about what his people need and how to get that for them, and he is intelligent in how he deals with matters, as one must be after so many years. Being the courtly and wise man he is, he is quite respectable to those who are of higher rank, and many pay him the respect he is owed, though he doesn't always do the same. It's nice talking down to people when they can't return the favor due to your positions. It's a guilty little pleasure of his. The respect he recieves in court isn't quite matched by that of the peasants, as he isn't always popular with the general population.
Once quite the flirt, this man isn't half what he used to be since the loss of his wife. He would flirt with others almost as a way of teasing her, but he can't put his heart into it without her reproving eye following his efforts. Mind you, he's still a good looking man, and notices beauty, he just doesn't chase after women as much, though he never went anywhere with it before, he'd just flirt as a form of entertainment.
This king expects the very best from not only his children, but everybody around him and his people as well. The way he sees it, if he's devoting his life to being the leader they need, they should put in the effort to be worth leading. Thus far, they have. He hasn't been disappointed in his kingdom once his 20 odd years of sitting upon the throne. However, his children, on the other hand, have let him down, though it's mostly just when they were being children, and he completely understands that kids and teenagers must act on nature. However, he still hasn't gotten over that priceless vase he lost when it was shattered 5 years ago.
Finally, he's riddled with grief. His wife was his best friend and the only lover he took his entire life, as much as he enjoyed chasing women. He can never move on past her and never will, and never intends to try.

Strengths:
✮ Leadership Skills: Any fool can see he makes an excellent king and he is a very strong and capable leader, though not always liked ✮
✮ Battle: He is an amazing commander, but also a great fighter. He has out fought many a capable warrior in his time ✮
✮ Charm: Not something one should lack in a position such as his, he's good at gaining favor of others and putting on a sense of allure. ✮
Weaknesses:
☾ Redheads: Honestly any redhead that comes his way, man and woman alike, are a weakness of his. It's not so much he likes redheads in general, just they remind him of his lovely wife, and he can't help but trust them a bit more than he should at first. ☽
☾ Family: Any threats against his family he despises but he isn't quick to gamble the safety of his loved ones. Additionally, he trusts his children with his life and this is a source of possible weakness. ☽
☾ Cocky: Being overly confident to the occasional point of being cocky, this king quite often overestimates himself and this can be taken advantage of by his more intelligent enemies. He also, to some extent, looks down on those below him. ☽

Significat Other: The previous queen of Aibruvia, his beautiful late wife. He isn't open to taking another.
Children: Too many... just kidding. He loves and is proud of all his children, and enjoys spending as much time as he can with them. However, he isn't the best at expressing his emotions, and they sadden him in their similarities to his wife.
