Name: Rembrandt Ford
Age/Gender: 19, male
Role: Student or teacher: Student
Your Horse's Name: The Black Devil
Nationality: His ancestry is very mixed, but in the last generation it's been American.
Appearance: At a first glance, Rembrandt comes off slighter of build, even though his height is 5'7. He may be slender, but is not delicate by any means, he has toned muscle from riding and running and climbing. So he is quite strong despite the impression that most get from him. He wears causal clothing mostly. His appearance isn't too offsetting, though with his usual expression, which is more indifferent, he may seem like that.
Rembrandt's features closesly resemble his Syrian grandparents'. He has black hair that is cut short, for both convenience and because he likes it like that, he doesn't care for longer hair, nope. The color of his eyes are dark brown, so dark they look black, unless someone gets up in his face or if light shines into them; the shape of these coal dark eyes is the almond shape. His skin color is olive tan. He isn't really anything special appearance-wise, normal looking, if one disregards that he looks like a Middle Easterner, or at the very least a foreigner.
He has a light Syrian accent, mostly because he has stayed with his grandparents a lot and just... picked it up when he was younger. It isn't too thick, just there enough for it to be noticable, especially to Americans or really... anyone.
Personality: At a first glance, Rembrandt is of a more a reserved temperament. He is more quieter, usually watching and listening to something. He isn't the most friendly person in a group, he isn't the type to approach someone new just to talk, but he does have manners and will introduce himself and such. He is a nice person to be around in general, though not much of a talker most of the time. He isn't unfriendly or adverse to talking, he will converse with someone else, as long as they start the talk; he just doesn't like to initiate a conversation for some reason. Sometimes a conversation with him doesn't last very long, because the other person gets annoyed at how he speaks; a good way to describe his speech is laconic. He does not speak more than necessary in most cases, which can get annoying to some, there are of course exceptions, he may sometimes talk a little longer than usual. While he is quieter, he has a sharp tongue when he finally gets riled up enough, or it can come out when he is stressed and/or worried, and he gets sarcastic during those times as well. He sometimes says something that would be seen as critical, and he usually doesn't mean it like that, but it has gotten him in trouble before.
Rembrandt is not an overly emotional person, some people look at this aspect of him and think 'calm', it seems like little would unsettle him. Some have thought he is cold, because he is surprisingly good at keeping a blank face and keeping his emotions under control, typically during a stressful or frightening event. He has good composure. But he can still get a good enough fright to show it, usually when he gets startled by something very unexpected. Which, if someone does it purposefully, he's like 'can I meet someone who doesn't do that to get a reaction out of me? No? Dang', seriously, there have been quite a few people he didn't even know scare him just to see if there's a reaction, he doesn't mind it too much with someone he knows, he can easily take a joke within limits; but for strangers or acquaintances to do it? He very well may snap at them if he isn't in a good mood, or just give a smile he doesn't really mean and go along with it. He is pretty competitive, he has always liked to prove himself and his skill, and even if he doesn't win, it's still fun in his eyes; he is a graceful loser and winner. He likes to compete, he doesn't take it too far, it gives him something to strive for; and he may learn something from it as an added bonus.
Rembrandt is of a more suspicious nature, if he feels like the whole truth isn't in the picture, then he will question it. He certainly is not one to just go with what he has been told. He will want to get to the bottom of the thing, even if he shouldn't. He can act that he isn't too unsure, but beneath the mask he is thinking, doing what he does best; watching, listening, for anything that would be a cause of concern. Especially when something is worded in a way that is a little... strange. He is smart, and despite his intelligence he has gotten into trouble for poking around in something he wasn't involved in, he can't really help it; it's a price of being cautious, and observant in nature. Despite being more laconic in his speech, he can and will, from time to time, say something that sounds quite poetic, even though it's usually a few short sentences. Despite how he comes off, he is a kind person, with a spine of steel; but maybe that's why difficult animals like him, they sense he is a good person, but will not tolerate any bad behavior. He is not a pushover, he just prefers to try and avoid a confrontation, but he can be fierce when provoked; he has an inner fire that is sometimes not noticed until a person throws enough fuel on the fire. His occasional sharp tongue can reveal a crack of his spirit. And while he has not come to a physical fight many times, he is strong and quick in a tangle.
Rembrandt was taught that while he should never act disrespectful, some people are not worthy of respect, and he has abided by that simple piece of advice. He doesn't act rude, but there is a significant lack of true respect for someone, almost always an authority figure, until he determines who they are. It's hard to tell, as it is more subtle, but it's there. While he seems like someone who follows the rules pretty well, Rembrand isn't afraid of going against them, not one bit; give him a chance and he will, he is independent and has never been a good follower. And as mentioned before, he is more suspicious by nature, always thinking, questioning. Anways, he is pragmatic, and not prone to fanciful thoughts, though he has been told he has a creative mind; he likes dealing with things in a mature and sensible way, even so, he has come up with some weird ideas. He is confident in a way that is from his knowledge of what he can do, he is proud of himself and Black, yes, he will say that; it's one thing to be proud of your abilities and arrogant, after all. Although confident, he is not adverse to constructive criticism, it's all a part of learning, but if it's too scathing it will rub him the wrong way. With him, if you break his trust, then you'll have the hardest time earning it again; he is not a forgive and forget person. He may not retaliate in the way his grandmother does, not really, but you do not want to push him when you have already wronged him and his loved ones, he is fierce in defense of his own, and he will retaliate if he is pushed close enough to the edge.
Riding Discipline: Jumping and Cross Country
Riding level or Experience: Late intermediate to advanced, he has not ridden for most of his younger life, but he learned quickly.

Dislikes: Very loud noises, rap and hip-hop music, stuck-up people and bad losers, being still for too long, being made to socalize, the heat, incompetence, bullies, lazy people, romance movies, injustice, and people who don't take responsibility.
One Major strength: He has a way with 'difficult' animals, and he is a great rider
One major weakness: He is bad with names. Or he sometimes comes off as cold or very reserved.

Registered name: The Black Devil
Barn name: Black
Horse's Breed: Anglo-Arabian
Age/Gender: 13 years, gelding
Height: 16.3 hands
Discipline(s): Jumping and Cross Country
Appearance: In terms of appearance, Black is an ideal specimen of his breed. He resembles an Arabian in conformation, though he doesn't look too much like a pure Arabian nor the Thoroughbred, and solid boned. He is a combination of power and elegance. His sleek body is sturdy and compact in build, with powerful long legs and that allow him his ability to jump easily and with little effort. He has prominent withers, a long, slightly arched neck, with a small fine head bearing resemblance to an Arabian's, one could describe it as chiseled or refined, perhaps even angular, though it is not as dished as one's; it is more straighter, where the Thoroughbred part comes in.
His glossy coat appears to have been made of obsidian, so dark that it is. This horse has not a speck of white or any other color on his body, just a pure, jet, black; like ink. His mane and tail are the same color as his body. He has dark brown eyes.
His movements are for the most part refined, and he has good footing. He has a soft mouth, the slightest touch of the reins will guide him. And he is sensitive to the movements of the rider, the lightest touch of heels will spur him to move. He is one of those horses that look like poetry in motion, so elegant and powerful are his movements.
Short Personality: Black is not what one would call the perfect horse, nor is he one for any inexperienced riders. He is full of fire and sometimes hard to control, even for Rembrandt; he is a fighter, this horse has a strong will. luckily, he has been discouraged when he kicked purposely or snapped at someone, he is not typically a kicker or biter; though knowing when to back off increases your chances of not getting hurt. He has the Arabian's intelligence and sensitivity to the rider, also the competitiveness and work ethic of the Thoroughbred. A good thing about him is that he is loyal only to Rembrandt, they have practically grew up together and have an unbreakable bond; Black has the utmost trust and confidence in him, brave and ,it seems that he will do anything if Rembrandt only asks. When he starts acting up, it isn't out of lack of respect for Rembrandt, he respects him as the leader, though it sometimes doesn't look like it
He gets along with other horses, as long as they have plenty of space to get away if need be. He is also an energetic horse, he loves it when Rembrandt gives him his head to run full out, another thing he loves is trail riding and of course, jumping. He is not the most affectionate horse around, though he does have moments. He is a fairly playful horse, he likes to 'steal' things from people if anything is in reach. Interesting thing is that he seems to almost scorn lazy horses and riders, as well as inept riders. Most of the time, he is a well-mannered horse, a little spirited, but willing to do what has been asked of him. And he tends to dislike people who Rembrandt dislikes.

She stands at 4'8, with a sunkissed tan. Her face is heart-shaped, with small freckles lining her nose and cheekbones. Due to her lifestyle, Terra has rather defined muscles, at least for a girl. She is not bulky, by any means, but she also isn't stick figure-like. Terra's eyes are silver with just a hint of blue, giving her a cold, untouchable aura. Terra sports brown hair, bordering on the line of red, but not quite. Her hair runs down to her waist, but most of the time, Terra has it back in two braids. Due to this, when her hair is down, it has a slight wave. Terra has good clothing style, and she can afford nice clothes. Terra prefers short sleeve sport shirts under her black protective vest, and grey riding pants. During competitions, Terra will wear a white undershirt, either a navy blue or red blazer, and tan breeches. No matter the day, Terra wears polished and well cared for black leather boots that run up to her knees. In all, Terra has a well put together and professional look to her. Personality: Terra is an overall kind person. She is more likely to beat up on herself than on others. But, these instances are few and far between. Terra values trust and truth above anything else. Terra doesn't lie, even if her words might hurt others. It's never had a consequence before, anyway. Terra might be from a rich family, but she likes to work and get her hands dirty. Terra tries to be as involved in Angelica's life as possible, building trust and familiarity. As for people, Terra is kind, but sort of closed off. She is also voice-command trained to make up for Skyla's weak back which can cause her to have issues using her legs propperly. Around other horses, she tends to be middle of the herd and tries to use her size to bully people off of their hay.
