Valerian is calm and cool, not one to easily be gotten a rise out of. He's good at what he does and enjoys it, doing his work indiscriminantly. He's not exactly the most open wolf, but is willing to listen to anyone who needs an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry upon. His lips are sealed if you tell him a secret as well, and he always keeps a promise. He's trustworthy and loyal to a fault, and would never dare leave what he has now. He's also the exact opposite of a cheat, and is usually pretty good at understanding what someone actually wants and delivering that.

He does tend to be a bit absent from the physical world, however, and is known for staring for hours on end at the multitudes of glowworms or the skylight hole and needing to be startled out of his trance. He's done this before several times, much to the detriment of his physical health (which he doesn't care about too terribly much, much to the frustration of literally anyone close to him). He was noticeably more distant from reality after doing this for two or six straight days (since no one bothered him out of the trance as it was a quiet week).

All in all, Valerian is a strange and slightly eccentric wolf.
