Zin is a cocky person, overconfident due to xir supernatural status and the fact that xe figures xe can get through just about anything unscathed. Xe loves cruising for thrills, trying to find anything new and exciting to do. If it’s not allowed, xe’s all over it. This ranges from eating someone’s lunch they were saving in the fridge to stealing jewelry to set fire to things xe really shouldn’t. Xe’s just so excited to do whatever xe wants, essentially without consequences. A little while ago xe had xir friend watching xir back and keeping xir from getting in trouble. Now xe figures that the court-mandated “good guys” will cover up for xir anyway. Xe seems to be in a good mood a lot of the time, and is energetic, dancing and singing constantly and unable to stay still. Xe have a lively demeanour and a childlike enjoyment of simple, silly things. Xe’ll laugh at most anything, and is thrilled at anything new, interesting, and fun to do. Though xe’s not too good at some things, xe’ll rush into it with great enthusiasm anyway. Zin is quite playful, and is bored by serious conversation and dull activities. Xe does have a very good grasp of xir powers, but doesn’t use them for anything very useful. Mostly xe just uses them to mess with people, and do things that are annoying or even borderline dangerous but not ill-willed. However, xe does have a poor grasp of morals. Or rather, xe actually has a remarkably good grasp, but xe’s very much over trying to be a good person all the time. By their estimation, if they haven’t straight-up killed anyone it’s not that bad. Even killing people isn’t too bad to xir. Xe used to abhor the very thought, but after all, aren’t they just going to get reincarnated, or go to something like Heaven, or be punished as they deserve? Even if those people do wind up as some wandering nav, so what? Zin did, and xe’s not complaining.
Although Zinny has a devil-may-care attitude, the truth is that this kind of carefree life is pretty new to them. Xir life before xe died was privileged and silly, and even after xe died there was a period where they were living with an adoptive family and things were pretty calm. Though xe might be excited at xir new freedom, xe still holds onto some old personality traits. Although xe gives off the vibe of not caring what people think of xir, the truth is that xe’s really quite sensitive. Xe wants people to like xir, and is easily offended by rude or insensitive comments. Xe will straight-up say that it’s hurtful and try to talk through it like a television psychologist. Though xe can take a joke, it’s things that are intended to offend that get xir. It’s quite easy to hurt xir feelings if you’re looking to, and xe has a rather fragile ego and sense of self. In addition, xe’s quite attuned to other people’s emotions, and notices them. That’s part of why xe loves making others laugh. But this only really applies to people xe’s close with, and therefore cares about. Other people xe couldn’t care about less. Xe picks and chooses xir friends carefully, because once xe gets attached to these people, xe’s all in.
Because of Zin’s unearthly beauty and divine singing voice, xe’s gotten quite vain over these things. Xe feels a bit superior to people, especially anyone who’s not supernatural, and even to other supernatural beings. It’s just cultural pride in some cases, a certain love for supernatural from xir homeland. Xe also has a fondness for demons and any Italian supernatural, having lived there for a while. Xe is very dedicated to xir friends and the things xe’s linked to in life. Xe may toy with them, and cause them problems, but xe has great loyalty to people xe believes in and cares for. Xe has a sort of innocent trust in people, and doesn’t seem to think anything bad could ever happen to xir. Perhaps it has to do with being an eternal teenager. Xe rarely bothers to actually try to fool people unless xe’s in the middle of some sort of prank. Xe’s not really too interested in actually deceiving people, and will tell wildly conflicting stories without bothering to make them make sense, and admit openly to lying to people if they ask xir directly.
Appearance
Zin is a tall, pale person whose features are neither feminine nor masculine. Xe has an unearthly beauty about xir, a strange allure that comes from xir supernatural origins. Xir face is fine-featured and pallid, with a lack of warmth to xir skin tone. Xe has bright green eyes, and even xir irises seem to have a hint of green. Xir eyes are slanted, with thin, pale lashes. Xe has high cheekbones and a thin look about xir. Thin lips, a thin nose with a straight bridge, thin eyebrows. Xir hair is a damp, strange blonde color that's closer to tan. It has no brightness, no life or luster, but does have a straight, silky elegance. The color is oddly greenish, and gets more so in direct light. Xe always wears in loose, with a fishbone comb tucked in.
Xe's quite tall, and along with this have arms that seem just a little longer tan is natural. Xe's not too toned, and xir body shape is hard to identify. It seems about average, for a man or woman, not particular striny or musclar or chubby. Just in-between. Xe does seem to have slight webbing between xir fingers and toes, and xir hands and feet are rather long.
Zin wears a collection of old T-shirts, jeans, biker jackets, and anything xe can find that xe deems "rebellious." Things that show just a bit too much skin, metal band graphic tees, pants that don't pull up all the way, any old thing xe thinks will piss people off a little bit. Xe also loves stealing clothing from xir roommates and wearing it around to get under their skin. Xe'll wear pretty much anything, and is actually comfortable in things like suits and evening gowns as well. Xe dresses totally masculin, totally feminine, and everywhere in-between.

Zinny grew up a wealthy, goody-two-shoes kid in a small Russian town. Xe dedicated xirself to helping others. Xe dreamed of becoming a mechanic or engineer, but xir parents insisted on a prestigious education. Xe loved them, and obediently attended a posh school. Xir innocent kindness made xir a target for bullying. At school, xe met Klaus, a brilliant but controlling track teammate who became xir secret boyfriend. Klaus was the only person Zin could tell about being nonbinary. Klaus was unfaithful and manipulative, leading to their eventual breakup. The night of the breakup, Zinny was upset. Xe went for a swim in the family pool, but didn't pay attention when xe was diving and hit xir head hard. Nobody was there to save xir.
Zin was buried, and everyone thought that was that. But some days later xe returned home in a daze. Xir family was terrified, and threw Xir out of the house. Rejected by xir family, xe wandered aimlessly, consumed with bitterness. Xe dragged several people into ponds and pools, jealous of them for being alive. News spread of a streak of murders, and Zinny fled. Xe was taken in by Vlad Zakharov, a Moscow fashion designer, and Vlad's father, Gavriil. Zin hid xir true nature, and when Gavriil found out he helped Zin hide it. Initially vengeful, Zin mellowed, but xir mischievous streak persisted, leading to "fun" accidents that occasionally hurt people. When Vlad discovered the truth, Zin nearly left, but Gavriil mediated. They managed to make up, and Zin came to really love xir adopted dad.
Eventually, Zin struck out on xir own, traveling to learn more about the supernatural. In Italy, xe befriended Albano Nascimbeni, a chaos-loving cambion who taught xir a number of bad habits. Their mischief caught the attention of supernatural authorities, and Zin fled across Europe. Xe enjoyed the thrill of evasion, but was eventually caught. Xe was sent to xir current location. Figuring nothing could hurt xir, Zin started looking for any ways to misbehave. Xe figures the good guys will always bail xir out and cover everything up. So why not have some fun?
