could be lower than 258 too, lol. things happen

04:24:55 Bell
Could be anywhere between 258 and 1000
I think if you breed higher talents together you'll be more likely to get higher talent puppers but you can't really count on anything specific to happen

pretty sure rarity / talents are mostly random. using an item would definitely help with better odds though.

If a 258 talent was bred to a 1000 talent, what talent would the pups most likely be?

Please do not steal my characters. DO NOT copy-paste their personalities and backstories. Though you may take inspiration from them, please be creative and make it so that it is not so obvious that you garnered these ideas from me. Feel free to give your own characters the appearances of mine, but DO NOT copy my characters' unique complexions. I cannot stress this enough, but please do not steal my characters. I have spent months, if not years, developing them into who they are now. They mean a lot to me. Should you respect my wishes, I will be grateful. Thank you.

IRVING "IKIO" ASHWOOD
{Pronounced Ir-ving "Ik-ee-oh" Ash-wood}
"I have secrets. But don't we all?"
--------
Name: Irving "Ikio" Ashwood
Age: 20 Yrs.
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Asexual
|
Role: Scout
Kingdom: Luxaros Kingdom
::
Appearance:
Ikio is a rather attractive young man, his baby-face shaped in just the right way to appear both adorable and appealing. His constantly disheveled red hair should serve to damage this, but keeping his curls unkempt has somehow worked for him. His hazel eyes--a brilliant greenish-ecru at just the right angle--gleam a startling intensity stark against everything casual about him. Perhaps it is his eyes that give light to what lies beneath: there is...something about them that no one can quite place, almost like he has seen--experienced--more than his age suggests.

Standing tall at six-foot-one, Ikio is a lanky individual, built as though a breeze could knock him over. Merely a year ago, he was a near sikly skinny; it was a constant wonder why he ever graduated without getting crushed by some freak boulder--and it was a shock to those in his academy when he was spotted roaming about amongst the Wind Fire Flight of Luxaros. But perhaps it was his twig-like stature that allowed him into the ranks, specifically as a scout. However, one must note the usage of past-tense: true, a year ago, he was the embodiment of a famine; now, not so much. Months of flying has done his physique well. Little by little, he's begun filling out his gangliness, his arms broader than they were before, and, if he decides to "grace" you by wearing a tighter shirt, his chest clearly more toned and accentuated. Still, he remains tall and lean, looking as if he's 90% comprised of arms and legs than anything else.

Emphasis must be taken on the present-tense statement from before: "built as though a breeze could knock him over". Ikio often wears loose, baggy clothing, often hanging loosely from his frame and having to be constantly be rolled at the sleeves with how they slip past his limbs. Upon first glance, and without looking too close, Ikio does look as though a breeze would be lethal to him--but only because he hides so much of his skin. His fashion style would make him seem to look sloppy, but, somehow, by some miracle, Ikio makes it work. His goggles complete the look. And, emphasis yet again: goggles. Ikio has two--the one given to him as a rider, and one he made himself. When his custom-made goggles are not in use, he pushes them up above his forehead. The rider goggles hang loosely by his neck. At first, the glass would be facing down and gangling in frony of his chest, but after the hard edges bruised his collarbone, he moved the goggles back, letting the goggles rest against the nape of his neck, the elastic bands hugging his throat. Though the chances of getting strangled by these goggles is high, he continues taking the risk. Most say it's for his...medieval hipster style of fashion. But the wise ones know it's a show of defiance.
Personality:
Ikio is the epitome of happy-go-lucky. He is constantly making god-awful jokes, somehow finding ways to make a fool of himself, and is never seen without a smile on his face. He's cheerful and enthusiastic, brimming with boundless energy. He talks and he talks and he talks--about anything, really; from his observations of the mountains to the movements of the grass. He's overdramatic, animated, chaotic. This is to be expected from an only child dearly loved by his parents--or as he says, at least. Really, he looks happy. Looks.

(It's all a mask. By smiling, he hides his pain. By forcing himself to fail at his tasks in the most dramatic and embarassing of ways, he makes everyone underestimate him. By being obnoxious and annoying, especially on his bad days, he drives people away. And though it may hurt to see them roll their eyes, smirk at his offered stupidity, and glance the other way, he knows it's for the best that they don't see what happens when he stops looking happy. It's a mask he's integrated so deep within him that, should he leave it behind, he doesn't think he'd know what to do with himself. Why does he do this, you ask? Why does he hide away? Well, don't ask him. All he'll do is tuck the answer closer to his chest.

But let's not focus on the sad parts.)

Having lived the life that he has, he's become accustomed to copious amounts of observation. Every little thing does not fly over his head. He analyzes every detail. But the strange thing about this is that you won't know when he's doing it. His constant casualness, easy smile... You won't know he's figured out your quirks when you lie, the crease in your forehead when you're pretending you're annoyed when you're just fighting back a smile, the relationship you have with other people, your hobbies, your smile, your schedule. There's little that goes past his notice, but that's only when he's being aloof. His paranoia keeps him in check, keeps him from not paying attention to something that could be invaluable.
Strengths:
- Deflecting. If he doesn't want you to get answers, you will not get answers.
- During his time as a thief, he stole a lot of books. He read all of them. His knowledge of healing rivals that of an actual healer's, though he has a lack of practical usage due to him being unable to practice on a patient. However, he is still well-versed at plenty of other subjects, such as geology, architechture, engineering, astology, etc. One subject he will forever despise is music. He will never say why.
- Pick-pocketing. This man is a t h i e f. He learned how to do so since he was seven. By the time he was twelve, he was stealing jewelry from inside mansions and leaving without a trace... Well, he was eventually caught and he had to stop stealing everything, but that was one time. One time.
- He is awesome at throwing knives. He has an incredible accuracy, so don't go near this guy when he's angry at you and has a fork. He'll throw it at your face and you'll lose an eye.
- Speed. Not so much agility because he's tol.
- You may see him as casual in appearance and body language, but this man is constantly aware of his surroundings. He's looking at everything through a critical eye, analyzing just enough to not make it so obvious.
- He's good at cooking. Sometimes.
Weaknesses:
- Lack of close bonds. It's strange for someone to have his mask personality and not have friends, but this man is lonesome. And he'd like to keep it that way. So, if he's in trouble, he's got no one to turn to but himself.
- Defiance. You wanna give him orders, you'll have to tell him why he's doing them. And if he don't wanna do 'em, you're gonna have to yell at him.
- He can be competitive at times due to his perfectionist attitude.
- Strong aversion to touch.
- He can get panic attacks, sometimes randomly, especially if he's experiencing/experienced a flashback. It's not common for him, though. He normally gets them during his bad days; he's distant during bad days, so these panic attacks won't get in the way. This can be an issue if he experiences a flashback during something important, such as during a meeting, or if he's getting orders; he'll just up and run.
- His paranoia has led to many sleepless nights. This, coupled with his nightmares and general inability to function during mornings, has led to mind-numbing insomnia.
- Don't let him fool you. He sucks at social etiquette.
Likes:
- Books. His brain digests knowledge better than his stomach digests bland soup. As said before, he's well-informed in the art of herbology and healing, though he may not do so well in said fields do to his lack of practical usage. Geology is his among his favorite subjects, second only to medicine, since it helps him find his way along mountain ranges. Architechture and engineering follow as close thirds; they have helped him quite a lot in navigating through streets and with scaling down large buildings.
- His dragon, Merek.
- Stealing. The act of taking an object, especially a prized one, from a person without their consent and with said person only learning of the object's disappearance once the deed is done gives him a thrill not unlike what he experiences during flying. And it reminds him of his youth.
- Patrolling at sunset.
- Kanchi, a woman he's still trying to figure out.
- Summer, a month that marks the end and a beginning.
- Noise. Anything loud. If it's too quiet, he'll freak out.
- Fooooooooood.
Dislikes:
- Touch. Don't touch him.
- Chains.
- Cages
- Beds. He sleeps on the floor.
- Winter and spring, seasons that he would do better without.
- Music, specifically that of singing--something that haunts his dreams.
- Silence.
- Being wrong.

Family Members:
Adradel, his sister, who is currently in Dekarlon. Only mentioned in passing.
[FAKE] Anne, his mother; and Oswin, his father.

Dragon or Griffin?: Dragon
Dragon's Name: Merek
Dragon's Gender: Female
Dragon's Species: Wind Class Dragon
Dragon's Appearance:
This specimen is, without a doubt, beautiful. Seven feet in length, thirty-nine inches in height, with a wingspan of fifteen meters, and weighing three thousand kilograms, Merek is on the average side. Muzzle slender and narrow, as with the rest of her body, and legs shorter than most of her class, she is incredibly aerodynamic. Her complexion blends in with the sky: her flat scales are mostly white, streaked with light blue, and flecked with soft gold, and her eyes are a solid, crystalline blue. Her claws are a soft silver, arching out at a slight curve from her thin paws.
Dragon's Personality:
Merek is a gentle creature with a nearly non-existent temperment. Affectionate in her love for her rider, she can be found curling around him completely, sheltering him from the cruelties of the world. She is hardly ever bored; everything is interesting to her--the reflective surface of water being among what she finds most fascinating. She has a mischievous side, often playing light pranks on Ikio. But don't let her overall kindness fool you--she will gladly deafen you if you dare hurt Ikio, a protective side she will not hesitate to let shine through. A sharp growl your way is her initial warning, then a flash of her needle-sharp seven-inch teeth; and, if you dare push and she reaches her limit, she will inflict bodily harm. Ikio stops her before she goes too far, however--something that clearly offsets her each time.
