Mouse curled up into a ball, thinking about the cat. She planned to leave tomorrow. But she hoped she didn't regret it. Why would I regret it though? she wondered. He was just a skin-held, nothing else. |

Mouse shut her eyes tighter and thought of something else. Tomorrow, I'm going to head deeper into this neighborhood and look for more food for the winter, avoid any houses with dogs, and then leave this place, she thought fiercely. |
