Hannah knew they had gone too far, letting out the breath she didn’t know she had been holding when she heard the phone ring and he had moved away. Almost the moment he had moved away, Hannah felt cool air rushing in, hitting her boiling skin like glass. She didn’t know what she had been doing, she swore under her breath. Hannah wasn’t even sure what to say, this was going be a rather awkward thing to deal with, but it was something that needed to happen, there wasn’t a way around it this time, there wasn’t an easy route. Hannah got up, walking over to where she had left her phone. Quickly grabbing it, Hannah sat down on one end of the couch, using her phone as a distraction. She busied herself with social media, blatantly trying to avoid any thoughts of what had happened. Hannah had felt a rush of irritation at the disturbance, but was rather glad now, a moment further and they would have reached something that neither of them could play off as a joke, or something to do with their game. She ran her fingers through her hair, a small groan of frustration escaping. (Literally lmao) Edited at August 20, 2020 06:19 AM by purge

The conversation he was having over the phone, was quickly turning heated. Of course, it was about the fight he had missed. He was beginning to get pissed off with the person on the other line. They made it sound like he was on a contract with the Ring. Which was far from the case. He was quickly regretting picking up the phone. Being with Hannah would have been ten times better than this. He hung up on them, shoving his phone back into his pocket. He knew Hannah must have heard him raising his voice, even from another room. He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. Collecting himself, he walked back into the living room. He leaned against the corner of the wall. Not meeting her eyes, he scratched the back of his neck. His other hand shoved into his jean pocket. "I gotta go. I'll see you at school?" His gaze flickered to her, for a moment. This was definitely going to be awkward. Seeing as he was doing a horrible job at playing off what just happened, as a joke. He thought better to just ignore it ever happened in the first place. He figured Hannah would want the same thing, as him. So much happened in just a span of minutes, that he'd already forgotten about the fact, they still had yet to align their stories, for the cops.

Hannah frowned slightly, hearing his raised voice in another room. Shaking her head, she ignored it, whatever it was, it was likely none of her business. Too quickly, Sergio reappeared. Refusing to look him in the eye, she nodded quickly. “uh, yeah I’ll see you there I guess”. Hannah quickly got up, making her way up to her room, sighing and leaning against the door when it had closed. Hannah could see it replaying in her head despite her many attempts to stop her mind from doing so. She quickly dumped her phone on her bed, before making her way over to the bathroom. Quickly stripping off her clothes, Hannah blasted the cold water, stepping underneath it. She felt her skin erupt in goose bumps under the cold water, but it seemed to have stopped her mind from wandering. Once she was sure she was in the clear, Hannah turned the cold off, turning the hot water on, feeling it gradually warm until the entire bathroom was filled with steam and the heat burned her skin red. She had checked the time and there really was no point in going to sleep, besides, Hannah had no hopes of sleeping now.

Soon after that Sergio headed out. There was no point in staying any longer than he already did. As he drove home, his mind kept returning to their unsuspected heated moment. Turning up the music, he soon drowned out his thoughts. Reaching his home, he climbed inside. He had plenty of time to get ready for school. As he finished running a hand through his hair, he checked his phone. A few messages left from his friends, as well as, a few members of the Ring. Most asking where he was. He decided on answering them later. He wasn't in the mood to deal with all that. Jogging downstairs, he pasted through the family business. He snatched a pastry from the front cases and headed out. Driving out to the school, he was rather early this time around. Parking his car, he began walking towards the school. Inside, he quickly noticed a whole section of the school taped up. He frowned. The people that decided to frame him and Hannah, might have done a number on the school. He was glad they got their alibi's set up. He wasn't going down, for someone else's crime.

Hannah had been sitting on her bed, Netflix open on her computer, entirely just to waste time. She had showered once more before she got ready for school, hiding any traces of her lack of sleep with a little makeup. But soon enough, she found herself sitting in her car that was parked in her spot. The parking lot was almost full, Hannah didn’t want to be late but after the little moment she and Sergio had had just a few hours beforehand, she had found herself procrastinating. Putting it to the bac of her mind, Hannah downed the rest of her energy drink. Getting out of the car, she locked the doors before heading over to the front gate. There were a large number of students standing around staring at the taped off area. She walked past slowly, frowning slightly at the large number of glares and scared looks she received from not only the students, but from a few teachers too. Ignoring it, she made her way over to her locker to grab a few things. Hannah was just zipping up her bag as a few of her friends came over to her, already chatting and laughing loudly as she leaned against the lockers, still staring at the caution tape.

Just like Sergio had anticipated two police officers approached him at his locker. Without a hassle from him at least, he agreed to go with them. Students were quick to stare at him and scurry out of the way, as he was basically being escorted by cops. They reach an office, that he was very familiar with. The principal was already seated behind his desk. They asked Sergio to take a seat. The entire time, Sergio held a rather smug look. He was confident in their whole set up they spent the early morning hours working on. He stayed along the lines of having spent the entire day with Hannah, the night of the crime. He was calm and relaxed the entire time if the questioning. After a few minutes they let him go to class. This had to be one of the few times Sergio was calm and collected around police officers. Usually he took up a nasty attitude. Throwing insults at them. Even if he was innocence. It was almost like an automatic response. Once again leaving the office, he got only more stares.

Hannah had heard within moments about Sergio being taken to the Principals’ Office with the police. She cursed under her breath, knowing the moment he was out, they’d be coming for her next. Shaking her head at the odd looks from her friends, they made their way over to class, the bell had rung well over a minute ago but they hadn’t noticed, too caught up in their conversation. Hannah sat in class, her leg bouncing nervously as she watched the seconds tick by. Going over what she was going to say, Hannah’s heart practically dropped when she heard the knock at the classroom door. Seeing the officers walk in, Hannah leaned back in her seat, a steady glare being sent their way. She could see majority of the students in front of her turn to stare at her, the teacher and the officers were quietly whispering, before the teacher had turned to her before nodding. Hannah didn’t need to wait for them to ask, she got up, grabbing her phone and bag. Swinging the bag over her shoulder, Hannah walked slowly up to the door. Refusing to acknowledge the officers, she walked out of the door, brushing into the officer closest to her. Sitting in the Principals’ Office, she kept her face neutral. Hannah knew if she showed any over-confidence or nerves, they’d be leaning into that, trying to get her to crack. But quite quickly, she watched the officers exchange a glance before nodding to the Principal. With a wave of dismissal, Hannah glared at the three of them before getting up and leaving, making sure to slam the door closed behind her. Once the door was shut, she chuckled softly, quietly muttering about how gullible they were.

Sergio was back in his classroom at some point, after the 'sit down' he had with the officers and principal. Mindlessly scrolling through his phone, as the teacher talked about the lesson. His mind would wander to Hannah. From the talk he was hearing from the other students, she was pulled into the Prinical's office too. No surprise there. He didn't really care what was done to the school, during the break in. However, he was curious as to who had the balls to pull that off. Let alone throw the blame onto the two kids in school, who had the baddest reputation. It was a ballsy move. They wouldn't get away with it. He didn't plan on bringing the law enforcement into either. He'd deal with it on his own. He would have to talk with Hannah about the matter. Surely, she wouldn't let them off the hook that easily. His finger tips ran over to Hannah's contact name. Clicking on it, he typed up a quick text to her. Telling her to meet him in a certain classroom, that would be empty at the moment. Choosing the perfect timing, he snatched his bag and walked out. The teacher had handed out an assignment, forcing the students to group up and work on it together. Seeing as the teacher was distracted answering a students question at their table, he slipped out. Finding the room rather quickly, he walked in. Tossing his bag onto the floor, he went over to the teachers desk and sat down. Spinning around once in it, he put his feet up onto the table. He began spinning a pen, mindlessly, as he waited for Hannah's arrival.

Hannah had been on her way back to class when had felt her phone vibrate. Frowning slightly, she checked the message, her face paling slightly as the text was from Sergio. Closing her eyes for a moment, she winced as the awkwardness that was bound to resume due their little moment from the night before. Even thinking about it made her sigh, they had gone too far and now it was a little weird between them. Hannah hadn’t seen him since their rather tense goodbye just a few hours earlier, but apparently that was about to change in a minute. Hannah looked at the door of her classroom, she knew the teacher likely wouldn’t expect her to be coming back so there wasn’t any harm in not going back. Nodding to herself, she turned and made her way over to the classroom as directed. Hannah found the room quickly, but hesitated slightly before opening the door. It was too late to turn back now. Pushing the door open, she opened it just enough for her to enter, before closing it again. She found him fiddling with a pen, shaking her head slightly Hannah slowly made her way over to where he was. She lifted herself onto the desk, moving the papers away before sitting on it, her back half to him as she sat on the desk. “So, what’s up?”

Sergio was pretty good at acting un-bothered with their moment they shared a few hours prior. As if it never happened. His mind kept bouncing back to it a few times. Mostly to tell himself, that it couldn't happen again. Maybe it wasn't a bad thing that his phone interrupted them. Now with their game back on it would just complicate things. Make things unnecessarily awkward between them. He had to get that through his head. He kept trying to tell himself, they were still messing around with each other. Glancing up he watched Hannah, for a moment. Stopping the pens movement, he set it down on the desk. Leaning his head back he stared up at the ceiling, a look of disinterest on his features. "How'd the questioning go?" His tone held boredom. He really did just call Hannah in here because he was bored. He also wanted to know the answer to his question. If hers went well, it meant they were in the clear and this whole thing would blow over. He knew that he's went perfectly. His lies flowed out of his mouth, naturally. (Lol switched it up. Wrote my last response before we discussed.)
