Most people that Asael has met have agreed with the Mayor to get rid of the mafia and gangs that apparently plague the streets. He never understood that as they usually keep to themselves for the most part and try not to bring outsiders in on whatever feud is going on. Atlas, they didn't think that way and wanted to get rid of them regardless. At least his mafia tries to keep the streets as safe as possible. So, when he noticed that Natalia was uncomfortable when the Mayor came onto the screen, it perked his interest. He doesn't see many people get uncomfortable, so when someone is, he likes to question them to see why they truly are uncomfortable.
As soon as Natalia said that the Mayor was her father, murmurs from his men started to rise. That is why she seemed slightly familiar when he first bumped into her when he got into the room. Granted, he knows that she hasn't shown her face to the public for quite some time now, which would cause him not to figure out why she seemed so familiar to her. She even changed her last name so people wouldn't notice that she was the Mayor's daughter. He found that rather interesting and is intrigued as to why she decided that she didn't want to be in the spotlight anymore.
His men started to murmur louder about why she was here and if she was getting information on them to bring back to her father and so much more. He slowly let his gaze go up and down her body to see if she was a threat to them. He didn't get any indication that she would rat them out to her father, but he couldn't a hundred percent know that. He is ninety percent sure that she won't run back to her father with her tail tucked between her legs to rat on them. He only felt that was as she seemed rather uncomfortable with her father being on the television. Though, he could totally be wrong and put himself and his men in danger.
"Silence." He said, instantly quieting his men of their nervous chattering and what it could mean with her being in the same room as them. "How fanscinating. I would have never thought that your father would let you out of his grasp. Does he know that you work here in a nightclub where it could turn into a crime sceen at any given time?" He asked her, his head tilting ever so slightly to the side. He would've never thought that the mayor would let her out of his sight, but he guesses he is wrong. "Do you have any clue what could happen if people found out who you truly were? Do you know how many gangs and mafia members that come into my nightclub would love to get their hands on you and use you as a bargaining chip in their game to get back at your father if they found out who you truly were?" If he had big qualms with the mayor, he would've already taken her hostage. Atlas, he doesn't, so he isn't going to bother with it.
He turned towards his men, most of them still wary about her being in the same room as them. They didn't want her to sell information to her father with whatever she learns here. He gets their unease, but he has this gut feeling that she isn't a threat to them. If she decides that she is going to be a threat, he will take matters into his own hands. He turned back to her and quickly drowned the Scotch that he made for himself. He isn't quite sure what he wants to do with her yet, but he knows that she isn't going to be leaving this room anytime soon and he knows that the guard won't let her get far if she decides to run.
"Alright, darlin'. Here's the deal." He started as he pushed the glass between his hands on the countertop. "We now know who you are and others downstairs might know as well. We can't be sure since they might be waiting on the perfect opportunity. While you are here in my building, you will have one of my guards around you at all times. And when you go home, I will take you. I don't need anyone snatching you when you least expect it. It will look bad on us and your father as well." He explained, finally stopping playing with the glass. He put it behind the counter on the dirty tray. He turned his head slightly towards Knoxtyn, giving him a wink with the eye she couldn't see to say that he accepts his proposal.
"Natalia right now is a dangerous time for you with your father trying to be reelected into office. This is the time for mafia and gang members to jump on the opportunity to get one up on your father." He continued explaining. He honestly is being sincere about this. He could honestly care less what happens to her and her father, but he accepted Knoxtyn's approval. This is a good offer to bring up to her to help him with it. He also doesn't have many qualms with her father due to not having issues with him. It's more what the mayor envisions than his actions. "I honestly have nothing to gain from using you as a bargaining chip, but I can't say the same for other people downstairs. This is your best bet."
