Jian nodded turning his attention to the working site. The man slightly tipped over becoming aware of the uneven grounds. It felt as if the Sun was trying to boil him alive and season his body with sweat as seasoning. Wiping his forehead briefly, Jian examined the ground. " Well, I suppose we're the same. But not quite " he spoke charmingly.
Jian twisted his body around, lowering himself to the ground. With a grunt the man squated besides the woman. Reaching for his travelling-pack to grab some equipment. " What do you reckon this is. . . ehm " Jian paused. He blanked on Baylees' name for second, surprising himself when he remembered. " Mrs. O'Quinn !" he tried.
Why not throw her a jab?
" Pardon me. . .Or is it just Miss? " he turned, facing Baylee.
