Even through it was hard on him and the smoke would have killed him by now he was trying to stay strong but see Claire die in front of him really broke his heart oh course there is nothing you could do about it really she wasn't his mate she was his mother best friend and he help out when she was pregnant with gaby Arthur then said " let's go home before anything else catches on fire " as he jokes and gaby slaps his side and said " it your fault " Arthur said " mine? Why me " gaby shrugs and grabs Wren hands and said " you can ride with us " as she drags her to the car and Arthur follows behind just trying to compose himself

Arthur opens the door for the ladies before closing the door and getting in beside the driver and said " take up home my fair man " as he smiles before looking around then said " gaby you know Wren is mine so you can't take her away from me " gaby said " yeah I can you be busy and she be needing a friend "

Wren had never felt happier to be in his arms. She was just happy he hadn't been hurt during the fire. She leaned into his touch when he touched her face, nodding slightly at his words. "I know.. and when I saw you go in, I was scared you weren't going to make it back out," she murmured before giggling at Gabby's sweet words. She could feel her heart melting to know that the little girl would be going back with them, especially since her mother was gone. At the talk of getting married, Wren couldn't help but blush as they both looked at her. She couldn't resist those puppy dog eyes. "I'd never dream of saying no. All he has to do is ask when the time is right," she said, winking playfully at Arthur before looking down at Gabby.

While Wren couldn't necessarily see his hurting, she could feel it. She hated knowing he'd lost someone who was special to him. She would have wrapped him up and let him break down right in her arms, but she knew at the same time he was wanting to be strong in front of them. Wren laughed at the exchange, letting Gabby take her by the hand and pull her along. She would have rathered rode with them anyways since she didn't want to leave her mate. "Good. I wanted to ride with you," she smiled to Gabby before looking over her shoulder at Arthur. She had a gentle, loving expression on her face, one that expressed just how bad she wanted to make it better.

Wren let Gabby get in before she did and relaxed, pleased to be going home. She couldn't help but smile "I'll still be yours, my dear mate, but while you are busy with working, I'll have a little friend to keep me company. Who knows though, you might just have some competition," she teased, enjoying the light hearted joking they were able to have. Wren knew she'd always prioritize Arthur, but she'd always care for Gabby.

Arthur chuckles and said " oh no there won't be she mine and that's the end young missy" gaby sticks out her tongue and said " we will see about that " as she moves closer to Wren and Arthur rolls his eyes as they pulled out of the mall parking lot and then back towards the pack as they drove pretty fast and made it back to the pack house 3 hours before supper would be ready they parked the cars and Arthur got out opening the doors for the ladys and said " welcome back to the pack " as he smiles before a guard came to them and said " welcome back alpha your mom is here to see you she is in the living room talking with Cara " Arthur growls softly he knew that was very bad because his mom believed everything she said to her as Arthur walks towards the pack house he holds on the Wren's hand a bit to tight but he hope she didn't mind

As they enter the door and when to the living room gaby followed behind his mother looks up and said " oh son welcome back where have you been " Arthur said " dealing with stuff when are you doing back here " his mother smiles and said " son I came to see you " then Cara jumps in and said " and I was talking about how see could stay and see the wedding between you and me " mother nods and said " I can't believe my son would choose a strong Luna like her then a wolfless Luna " as she glares at Wren and Arthur growls and said " Cara I told you my agreement with you is over since I found my mate you know the terms and you mother stay out of my personal life you haven't been here for 18 years " as he growls loud
