ᛏᚻᛖ ᛡᚫᚱᛚ - 3ᚱᛞ ᛈᛖᚱᛋᛟᚾ ( The Jarl - 3rd Person) The Jarl looked irritated “Listen, it’s not that I don’t care, but since you are affiliated with one of our witches I don’t want to push my luck on getting my tribe cursed. The witches are one of our strongest forces in our tribe and I would hate to be the reason we lose our strongest one.” The Jarl explained with a sigh. “Winter is approaching soon which means we have to prepare. I would hate to worry about someone new to the tribe and unfamiliar with the area. Just get settled in or something for the winter or leave, I don’t care. Just don’t stir up trouble.” The Jarl said standing up to leave “ᚱᛖᛈᛟᚱᛏ ᛟᚾ ᛏᚻᛖ ᛞᛖᛖᚱᛳ” (Report on the deer?) The jarl said turning to Ragnar. “ᛏᚻᛖᚣ ᚫᚱᛖ ᛡᚢᛋᛏ ᛟᚾ ᛏᚻᛖ ᛟᛏᚻᛖᚱ ᛋᛁᛞᛖ ᛟᚩ ᛏᚻᛖ ᛗᛟᚢᚾᛏᚫᛁᚾ” (They are just on the other side of the mountain) Ragnar responded and the Jarl nodded. “Most of the men in the tribe including myself will be traveling out tonight and the next night to hunt deer to store for the winter. You are welcome to join us if you like, if you choose to stay behind or wander off don’t cause trouble.” The Jarl said before heading towards the door Ragnar motioning for Njord to follow him out the door. Except Ragnar had more of a softened but frustrated expression on his face, like he wanted to say something but since he couldn’t speak a common tongue he didn’t know how to approach Njord about it.

(Sorry it took so long, have been busy) Njord Sigbjorn - 23 - Outcast - Njord grunted as the Jarl kept speaking, though he didn't interrupt, no matter how he wanted too. The young Viking tilted his head and looked at the jarl as he started to talk about hunting and winter. he always lived in a colder climate, so this was like summer to him. Njord pursed his lips, "where do I meet you... you know, if I want to go hunting" he said, he really needed to kill something, after the days past few events. That or sex, he needed to blow off some steam. Njord looked around as they exited the little room and huffed, he doubted any woman here would sleep with him. Well, not right now anyway. Njord looked over at Ragnar and frowned, "what?" He said, noticing the man was looking right back at him.

ᚱᚫᚸᚾᚫᚱ - 3ᚱᛞ ᛈᛖᚱᛋᛟᚾ ( Ragnar - 3rd Person) Ragnar brushed it off and simply motioned for Njord to follow. Everyone seemed to be settling as the two walked, and most shops were closing if not already closed. The night was cold as if it was already winter, if you looked up it was a waxing crescent moon in the sky, barely lighting up the night. Meaning there would be no moon the next night. With most of the fires out, the stars were now visible as they helped light up the sky. Ragnar was leading Njord to a house on the outskirts of the village. He motioned for Njord to stay outside as he went inside, eventually coming back out with an older but sturdy-looking spear, and handing it to Njord. Ragnar started heading for the base of the mountain, he stopped by the Witch’s home and knocked. After about a minute, a very tired Urimenor appeared, opening the door. “ᚹᚻᚫᛏ ᛞᛟ ᚣᛟᚢ ᚹᚫᚾᛏ.” (what do you want.) Uri said, clearly irritated as if she had just been woken up. “ᚳᛟᚢᛚᛞ ᚹᛖ ᚸᛖᛏ ᚫ ᛒᛚᛖᛋᛋᛁᚾᚸ ᛒᛖᚩᛟᚱᛖ ᛏᚻᛖ ᚻᚢᚾᛏᛳ” (could we get a blessing before the hunt?) Ragnar teased and urimenor closed the door then reappeared with sage in her hand. Lighting it on fire she flicked the ashes on him and Njord. “He asked me to give you a blessing before the hunt so I just did a lazy version of a spell to ward off evil,” Urimenor said tiredly to Njord. “ᚹᚫᛁᛏ ᚳᛟᚢᛚᛞ ᚣᛟᚢ ᛏᛖᛚᛚ Njord ᛏᚻᚫᛏ ᛏᚻᛖ ᛡᚫᚱᛚ ᛁᛋᚾᛌᛏ ᚡᛖᚱᚣ ᚻᛖᚫᛚᛏᚻᚣ ᛁᚾ ᛏᚻᛖ ᚻᛖᚫᛞ ᚩᛟᚱ ᛗᛖ” (Wait could you tell Njord that ‘the Jarl isn't very healthy in the head’ for me) Ragnar asked Urimenor. She paused for a moment before rolling her eyes. “Ragnar wanted me to tell you that the Jarl isn’t very healthy in the head, he has been having issues and will be forced to step down soon. Unfortunately, he never had any children that made it to adulthood. So there will be a challenge throughout the winter and spring to test anyone who wants to be the next Jarl. I apologize if our Jarl gave you trouble,” Urimenor said with a sigh, clearly wanting to go back to bed. You are all good, it's mid-terms month for me so I am struggling, but I apologize for my late response.

Njord Sigbjorn - 23 - Outcast - Njord glanced at Ragnar, following him to a house near the outskirts of the village, Njord glanced around and sighed, "This your house?" He asked, gripping the spear Ragnar passed him. The young Viking waited for the man to answer him but soon remembered that they had a foolish communication barrier. Instead of speaking again Njord followed Ragnar again to a slightly larger house, before knocking. Njord peaked around Ragnar's large frame, "Well, aren't you lookin' sunny?" He whistled, amusement filling his gaze. It seems they had disturbed the witch from her little nanna's nap. Njord snorted when they started to speak in their own language, jealous that he couldn't join the conversation. Instead, he busied himself with studying the spear Ragnar passed him, allowing his fingers to drift down the shaft, grazing against the headstone. The Viking paused when he heard his name, looking towards the siblings, "what? Something on my face?" He asked, then realisation dawned on his face, "OH! So that's why he is a careless boar? That goodness that thing never had children, they'd curse this place" Njord said with a short of laughter.
