Perseus/Percy | 17 | Protector | M: Ren, Pan, Skoll, Antheia

Perseus continued onward, wishing that he could feel around without touching the walls. Stalagmites tripped him as he walked on and he cursed whenever they did.

Then something took his breath away. There were carvings and patterns in the stone wall. They were unique and different, some were in shapes of animals. He stretched up to touch one. A gleam of starlight shone and he realized that it was a horse.

His eyes grew wide at the sight of it and a little blue shining thing appeared. It was Bellerophon, his pegasus. The creature whinnied and danced around him, excited for some reason. He nibbled at Percy’s clothes when his master ignored him.

Then just around a corner, he heard voices. They were both feminine, but he couldn’t tell what tribe they were from. Perhaps they were from Wind and could help him get out. He didn’t like it in the dark and he certainly was not flying out on Bellerophon’s back, despite how much the creature wanted to play. He took a peek around a rather large stalagmite to see the owners of the voices and to his disappointment, they were, indeed humans.

Then Bellerophon pranced out from behind the large mound and ruined it all. He whinnied and pranced around affectionately, nickering to the sand wolf and the ice fox. He frisked about and embarrassed Percy who knew that the humans would want to see who owned the frisky pegasus. Taking a deep sigh, he stepped out from his hiding spot.

“Bellerophon, get here! Now!” He pointed to his side as he called.

The equine did not respond and instead kicked up his heels in play. This made Percy clinch his fists and he chased after the unruly animal, trying to catch it. But Bellerophon was too fast for him and he easily evaded the Protector’s grasps. It wasn’t until Percy had run out of breath did he stop his games. It was obvious that the winged horse could play some more, but he understood that there was a time to play and there was a time to sit still. The later was such a time, so he plopped his horsy rump onto the cave floor next to his master.

Ren looked at her cautiously. It decided to be nice. "Nice to meet you both, I was told to walk down the tunnel because there was someone waiting for me, no offense but I didn't expect you-"she looked over her shoulder to see a Pegasus near her she was about to hold him and see where his owner is but suddenly a boy stepped out and yelled for the pegasus. Ren tried hard not to laugh when it disobeyed him. She turns to the boy "Nice pegasus, My name is Ren and this is my friend and partner in crime Pan....what's your partner's name and your name? "She asked. She really should stop being nosy. So she quickly added "Why are you here?" Before shutting up. She stroked Pan and he blinked and decided to go back to sleep. Typical. (Short sorry)

Perseus/Percy | 17 | Protector | M: Ren, Antheia

Percy’s pale face was red in both anger and embarrassment. He had made a great first impression. He clenched his fists in his fury. Not that he’d hit the horse, he might be scared of him but he didn’t want to hurt him! He was just irritated and wanted to break something. Why did Bellerophon never listen? He was busy with his thoughts that he almost didn’t catch what one of the girls said. She said her name was Ren, right? He didn’t really know and he didn’t really care either.

“Uh,” He began. Great start loser, beginning with ‘uh’! They’re gonna think you’re a doofus! His mind invaded so he had to start again. “Er,” and another storm of insults entered his head.

He clenched his fists harder so that his nails were digging into his skin. He felt his face redden more. He looked over at his horse who looked back towards him. If horses could look sheepish, he would have. Then he grinned a big, horsey grin which made Percy frown.

“His name is Bellerophon.” Percy stated with a stern face and then muttered underneath his breath, “and he’s more of a donkey than a horse.”

After he said it, he regretted it. Bellerophon had turned away and had his head bowed. His ears pointed backward, but weren’t pinned. He was still sitting like a dog. Percy immediately felt pity for him and forgot about the girls. Gingerly, he walked up besides the animal who looked to be pouting. He stroked the equine’s face with trembling hands and touched his nose with the others.

“I’m sorry buddy.” He whispered to him. “I didn’t mean it. This just wasn’t a good time to play. You’re a good horse and anyone can tell.”

This seemed to comfort the weepy creature and he stood back up on all fours to shake his mane. The wiry hair whipped Percy’s face who resisted with all his might not to give him the stink eye. Then he remembered the people and Ren’s question.

“I’m Perseus and it’s, uh,” he paused because he usually never said this to a human, “nice to meet you both.”

She looked at him concerned as he dug his nails into his palms with his face red. She looked at him again with the same look when he told his Pegasus he was a donkey. "Percy it's okay for your animals to misbehave. Once Pan starting play biting this infant when it was when he was being given to me." She smiled and added "It's completely natural and it's okay to um feel frustrated and embarrassed sometimes " She stopped smiling as it felt unnatural and looked around the place as Pan slinked off her Shoukders and followed her judging and sniffing at the cracks and symbols on the wall. She frowned closely at a stone in the middle of the wall opposite the tunnels, she counted all the symbols. Water.Death.Life.Fire.Wind.Earth. Strange, she frowned harder and called over her shoulder "So why are you here Perseus with your Bellerophron?" She asked inquisitively.

Ren startled and looked around sharply. She stifled a scream and said " Hi, Who are you and is that your dragon?" He looked at Pan and signaled for him to back down as he was about to attack the drag in that was about 8x his size maybe even more. He looked to see what the other two people's reactions had been.
