Chocolate Mocha called the Hunters and Warriors, and they headed out. BronzeFur and the other Hunters tracked, and the Warriors kept watched. Until they came along the herd. The Warriors went to one side, the Hunters the other. One Chocolate Mocha's signal, the Warriors lept forward, scaring the herd towards the Hunters. They thundered past, and the Warriors stayed on the sides, running along while the Hunters hunted. " Don't get hit or kicked!" SpiritWind heard Chocolate Mocha shout.

*she watched and spotted a weak one, using her talent for hinting to a certain one to let Chocolate Mocha know about it*

Chocolate Mocha noticed the weak one. " Hunter! Warrior! One of you, get the weak one! It'll be easier! " She shouted. SpiritWind and the Hunter, BlackFoot, broke off from the herd and went after the weaker one. BlackFoot jumped and fastened his teeth into its throat, and SpiritWind went to slow it down. She got kicked in the side in the process, she breathed in a sharp pain. But she still slowed it down for BlackFoot to kill, and she sat trying not to wince. She limped over to the dead Elk, and sniffed it. " Good Job, BlackFoot." She sat back down.

*after they left she grabbed another one as a gift and left it at the edge of the camp, knowing one of the patrols would find it*

SpiritWind limped along while they headed back to camp. She noticed the dead Elk, and so did the Beta. " Get that one. Make sure its not some loners prey first." She said to one of the Hunters, who nodded and went for it. As they came back into camp, MaskedStar praised the group and said they would have a good and plentiful Winter. She asked her daughter if she was okay, and she said she was fine. " I did see Star today, though. But I think she left after I told her too." She told her Mother, who looked shocked that Star was still around. " Well, as long as you kept a loner away is all that matters." She said.

*she was glad they accepted it and decided to leave a good sized elk for the pack as a kind of rent for letting her stay at the Lake and got a rabbit for herself and ate then went back to what she was doing*

They feasted, and then they all retired to their den. But SpiritWind didn't until she head spoken to her mother about challenging Chocolate Mocha, for beta place. Then, she went to sleep.

The pack woke the next morning to here GemEye frantically calling: " BloodPup! RedWoodPup! Their GONE!" She cried. SpiritWind rushed to her side. " Its okay." She soothed the medical wolf. GemEye had been protective of the orphaned pups when they had joined. " We'll find them."

*she found them and gently carried them back to the med den and laid them in a nest, waiting for one of the others to come*

SpiritWind sent Explorer to check the dens, and sent the others check the forest. She also sent DustStep to find the Alpha and Betas, who had gone hunting, leaving only her and Explorer in camp. She heard Explorer growling in the med den, and came over.

Explorer entered and saw Star, and the pups. Protective of his young packmates, he had jumped at Star and pinned her.

SpiritWind came in and saw, and hurried over to the pups and soothed them in a motherly voice, and stood over them protectively. " Star. Why did you take our pack's pups?" She asked.

*she gently threw him off and said to Spirit* i didn't, they wandered out, i brought them back, that simple, i didn't have to stay but i wanted to make sure they were ok, i wouldn't have if i took them, hell, if i took them i wouldn't have brought them back, you of all people should know that SpiritWind *it was the first time in a while she had called her by her full name, meaning she was serious and she went to the door but looked behind her to Spirit* i'm staying at the Lake if you want to talk *she turned and sprinted off, going so fast she was a blur of black and silver fur and went into her cave*
