"I had some berries for Nightingale the trader. I should have saved you some. They were so good. Definitely trading with her again. I didn't feel great on my way back. I'll just get some mint from the healer." Nori smiles and leans her head against Candy. "Enough talk about me. What about you? Did you see the eagle flying out and about?" She leans back to look her mate all over. "The eagle didn't get you, right? I'm not looking at the ghost of my handsome mate?"

Waiting a few seconds before carefully making her way from bush to bush then she ran back to her farm where she checked on the fruit and herbs even smacking the flying insects hovering around. Even if there were eagles about she had to manage her farm.

After tending to her fruit and herbs, Nightshade then sniffed for any prey near that she could catch before heading to her burrow.

Candy really couldn't hide how happy his mates affection made him, his chest fluff puffed up a bit as he raised his head and tail high with pride, after all he was a very handsome fox if nothing else. He may not be the best at hunting and he may be prone to wandering off from time to time but good looks he had always had in spades. Though the knowledge that his mate was sick was worrying, he quickly nuzzled her cheek and began to fix a few messy patches of her fur as he said "I'm perfect fine my love, I would never deprive you of my handsome face. I did hear an eagle screech earlier but I stayed in the thick brush so I don't think I was in any danger. But are you sure you should be up and about if you're feeling sick? Maybe you should go lay down, I'll find the healer and get you some mint, maybe nightshade might have some? Oh I'll get you some water as well, that might help? You said you had berries earlier, did they smell funny? Are you sure they weren't poisonous or maybe they'd gone bad?... Oh maybe I should just bring nightshade here? I'm sure the leaders won't mind to much if it's for your health."

Candy had completely lost himself to his worries as he fussed over his sick mate like an overprotective mother taking care of her first litter of kits. He had long since stopped grooming her and was now making half steps towards about five different directions as his body and mind came up with different ways to help his mate.

Luckily she managed to catch two mice so she took them into her burrow to eat them. She seemed to be managing fine though her mind strayed to her sisters before she dismissed it. It isn't worth worrying about. Her yellow eyes watched the entrance before she decided to go deeper into her burrow for safety.

"Thanks!" Firestorm said to Chestnut's compliment as he joined his skulkmate. "We can both take the credit. It was a group effort." He sighed. "Maybe we should go back to camp now. Candy might've gone back on his own."

After some thinking Chestnut agreed and knew that they should head back to camp. Since it was evening, he rather be home before it becomes dark. The red fox was already wary about being out.

"That sounds like a good idea and maybe we will catch some more prey on the way back", said Chestnut glancing around.

Nori rolled her eyes. "I am fine. I'm not an apprentice. Leave Nightshade to her work. I have you. You would have to give her one of your mice. Have you eaten yet?" Nori asked. She licked Candy's chin and smiled. "The berries were fine. I'm probably just a little dehydrated. I was missing you."

Firestom nodded, picked up the squirrel, and began to walk to camp. He kept his senses alert for prey or for any sign of the missing foxes.

Chestnut had luckily managed to catch a rabbit which he carried as he walked next to the red fox until they were back at at camp. His eyes landed on Candy who was talking to a certain gray vixen. Eyes glared at the male grey fox while Chestnut searched for either the leader or second in command.

He was debating on if he should tell the leader and second in command or stay quiet. He nudged Firestorm to the pile of prey and Chestnut placed his rabbit on the pile.
