Skylar's head perked up at Alex's comment. "Having your boyfriend over to meet your parents and have dinner is a mistake... okay." Sky said, keeping his voice down but just loud enough for Alex to hear him. "Yeah fuck you, I can leave if you want or I can stay and try and pretend that we are just friends and Im so thrilled to me my "friend's" parents." Skylar coldly, trying to get up as he did so. He was so hungry, but he wasn't about to stay if he wasn't welcome anymore. Pushing off the wall, he began for the door. (agh sorry its so short)

Alex's gaze rose to meet Skylar's when he heard him. He frowned at that, pausing only momentarily as a slight wave of guilt slammed into him. He hadn't originally thought that way, but then he hadn't expected Skylar to show up here drunk. "You're the one who showed up here drunk, Skylar." He said coldly as he watched him struggle to stand. "Why would you do that?" He questioned. When Skylar began making his way towards the door, he paused a moment before he found himself standing and quickly moving to block his path. "I invited you to dinner because I wanted you to meet my family..." He started as looked up at him. "Do I want you to leave? No, but I also didn't want you to show up here drunk. I told you what my parents are like... if you respected me, cared about me at all, why would you do that?" He asked, his voice holding a hurt sharpness to it, as if this were some great betrayal on Skylar's part. And honestly, a betrayal is exactly what it felt like to Alex, a betrayal of trust. He'd trusted Skylar to consider his position, to show up here and have this dinner with him sober.... had that been too much to ask for? (No worries. ^^)

Skylar paused in his tracks to listen to what Alex had to say before turning around. "Oh don't fucking do that Alex, you know I'm struggling. I drank because Im fucked up okay, you should know that." Sky began, still slurring his words. Taking a breath and swallowing, he didn't keep his gaze on Alex. "If it's not one thing, it's another" Sky said quietly, "I didn't want to be here drunk, I just happened to drink and it got outta hand." Sky managed to get out. As the walls began to spin again, Skylar breathed heavier before slowly bringing himself down to the ground. "Fuck." Sky breathed as he sat down.

Alex inwardly flinched at Skylar's words, and though he wanted to look away, he kept his gaze fixed on him. He knew that he was struggling, that he had a lot going on, and as much as he understood that, as much as he sympathized with that, it didn't make a good excuse, not really. "You just happened to drink?" He repeated in disbelief before shaking his head. He was about to say something more, to demand that he tell him how much he'd had to drink, but was stopped when he watched Skylar slowly bring himself to sit on the ground. Concern crossed his expression at the sight, and he found himself moving to step back and towards the door. "I'll get you some water." He said after a moment of stillness before he turned to leave the room. ((Sorry, this is so short and so poorly written. >.>))

Skylar slowly watched as Alex got up, following his body as he moved across the room. "No, please-" Sky began, reaching a hand out for Alex, "Stay, Alex." He finished, letting his arm go limp again and fall to his side. This is what happens when you drink without anything in your stomach, you get wasted, and with how much Sky drank, he was more than wasted. Sky was almost at blackout level, holding on by a thread. If he had any more, he'd probably black out. With everything going on, he'd drink himself to sleep. Looking up at Alex, he forced himself to keep his eyes open.

Alex stopped his approach to the door when he heard Skylar ask him to stay. He was still hurt and angry, but right then, he was more concerned for Skylar. Just how much had he had to drink? "Water might actually help sober you up a little, though." He said as he turned to face Skylar. He didn't move to leave the room and get Skylar the water he likely needed, not wanting to leave him alone, especially if he was requesting he stay. After a few moments, he sighed and stepped towards him, crouching down in front of him. For a second, he let his gaze study Sky before he lifted a hand to brush some of the hair from his face. For a brief moment, he let his fingers linger against Skylar's skin before he was pulling his hand back. "How much did you drink?" He asked softly, the anger and accusation no longer audible in his tone; instead, there was a hint of concern.

Sky shook his head at Alex's suggestion. Thought water would probably help, he didn't want Alex to leave. Sky's eyes followed Alex's hand before he stared up into his eyes. He kept his eyes locked onto Alex's as his fingers slightly brushed up against his face. He's so beautiful. "I don't know, maybe like half the bottle." Skylar slurred, shrugging his shoulders. He was unsure how much he drank, but it was close to what he said. "Vodka too." Sky added. Sky spoke like it was no big deal, like it was fine.

Regardless of how upset he was, pulling away from Skylar, getting angry with him here and after it had been done seemed both reckless and pointless. So Alex remained crouched down in front of Skylar, his eyes fixed on him as he did so. When he heard his answer, he frowned and furrowed a brow before shaking his head with an exasperated sigh. He supposed it was better than the alternative, better than harming himself or taking drugs... at least, that's what he had to tell himself to calm the spark of anger that flared. "Half a bottle of vodka?" He questioned in astonishment. "Please tell me you at least had something on your stomach..." He said, though considering how drunk Skylar was, and how quickly his condition had seemed to worsen in the last couple of minutes, he was fairly certain he already had his answer.

Sky shook his head in response to Alex's question. "No, I'm starving." Sky replied, trying to stand up. "Is food ready yet?" He then questioned as he pushed himself up to his feet. There was no doubt that Sky wouldn't spill his guts later, but he was starving. He couldn't just eat nothing, but it was probably going to come up at some point. He was in no condition to drive home, but how was he going to get home? It would be weird if Alex drove him, and he doubted that Alex's parents would let him stay. The thoughts didn't cloud Sky's mind for long. Holding the wall, he fully stood up.

Alex's frown deepened a little upon hearing the answer that Skylar had given him. When he heard his question, he managed a faint chuckle and nodded. "I'm sure it will be by the time we get downstairs." He said. When Skylar moved to pull himself to his feet with the assistance of the wall, Alex's gaze followed him. With a soft sigh, he pushed himself to his feet and did his best to quell the nerves in his stomach at the idea of Skylar going downstairs and meeting his family in this state. It was too late now to call it off, to stop this dinner from happening. The food was all but done, his parents were here and ready to meet him, and Skylar had already made the trip over, drunk or not. "Do you need help?" He asked softly after a moment of silence as he stepped back and toward the door of his room.
