Shivers ran throughout Sky's body as Alex's arms draped over him. His whole body was a bit tense from the day, so being in this position, in Alex's arms, instantly relaxed Sky. Before Sky closed his eyes, he wanted one more kiss. He raised his head a bit, turning it to the side before kissing Alex softly. The kiss was slow and sensual, making Sky a bit flustered. Once he pulled away, he made eye contact for another moment before resting his head down. A smile had grown on his face, and so had a blush. He nuzzled his face into Alex's neck as he closed his eyes. He was about ready to pass out and without much longer he did.

Alex felt the way Sky shivered beneath his touch and couldn't help but feel a slight sense of pleasure at the idea that his touch could elicit such a reaction. When Skylar kissed him Alex's eyes widened in surprise, though his shock was brief, and despite how quickly the kiss had ended, he'd leaned into it ever so slightly. "Get some rest, Sky." He said softly, his voice barely above a whisper as he felt Skylar nuzzle his face into his neck. Shifting ever so slightly, Alex moved his arm so that his hand was resting atop one of Sky's shoulders, there he began to lazily trail his fingers in circles, his fingertips lightly brushing over Skylar's arm. ((I am SO sorry this is so short. >.>))

Skylar quickly fell asleep in Alex's arms, without any other thoughts roaming his mind except for Alex. After the long, exhausting day that Skylar had, this was what he needed. Sky was asleep for about an hour before he turned over. He stayed close to Alex, but now he wasn't facing him anymore. It wasn't long before Skylar began to wake up. He reached in front of him, not feeling Alex. His eyes opened and he grew confused but then realized he had turned over in his sleep. He sat up slightly and half-turned around to see Alex. He grew relieved, exhaling slowly. He moved to grab his phone to check the time. It had only been an hour and 30 minutes so they still had a ton of time to do other things. He smiled and laid back down facing Alex. (I'm not sure if Alex is a wake or not when Sky wakes up...)

Alex had planned to remain awake while Skylar had slept, to watch over him and simply enjoy the quietude of the moment. Instead, however, about half an hour after Sky had fallen asleep, Alex had felt his eyelids grow heavy and before long his eyes closed entirely. With a soft sigh escaping him, he shifted ever so slightly as he began to drift off surrounded by both the warmth of Skylar and the smell of him on the sheets and pillow. Alex remained asleep for the hour that followed, only beginning to stir when he felt the bed shift as Skylar sat up and then returned to lying down a few moments later. Slowly he opened his eyes, blinking sleep away from them as he turned his blue hues to the male who was lying before him. He felt his lips turn up in a small smile at the sight, his gaze traveling across Skylar's shoulders and back before he moved to prop himself up on an elbow, half curious as to whether or not Skylar was still asleep. It hadn't crossed his mind then to think about how long he had been asleep, or to consider messaging his parents to let them know he was with a friend, something he likely should have done the moment he'd decided to spend the remainder of the day with Skylar instead of head home. ((We'll say Alex was asleep but woke up shortly after Sky. ^^))

A couple of minutes went by and Sky felt a shift in the bed. As soon as he felt that shift he fluttered his eyes open. His eyes were met with the sight of Alex resting on his elbow as he stared down at Sky. An immediate smile rose on Sky's face, he was happy that Alex was awake now. He chuckled a little as he propped himself up slightly, and leaned in to kiss Alex. He was so incredibly happy in that moment for some reason, it was too good to be true. When he pulled away from the kiss, he made sure to go slow. Sky laid back down after fully pulling away, still facing Alex. "I'm so glad you're my boyfriend." Sky said, and he couldn't help himself but giggle a bit. Moving his legs, he rested them so they were closer to Alex's. Sky then grabbed ahold of Alex's free hand and just held it. (Ugh this is so bad but that's okay)

Alex felt a smile pull its way onto his lips as he watched Skylar's eyes flutter open. For a moment he let himself get lost in those beautiful green hues of his before his blue gaze dropped to Skylar's lips where, he noticed, a broad and beautiful smile was sitting. He found his heart fluttering at the idea that simply seeing him had elicited such a smile, though honestly, he felt the same way. It was hard not to smile, to feel a rush of happiness every time he saw Skylar and every moment they spent together. Not expecting the kiss, Alex paused for a moment before he smiled against Skylar's lips and kissed him back. "Me too." He said softly a faint chuckle in his voice after hearing Skylar's words and the giggle that had escaped him. When Sky took his hand, Alex let his smile grow a little. "So, is there anything you want to do, or should we spend the rest of the day lying here?" He asked, his blue gaze resting on Skylar's brilliant green hues once more.

Sky's eyes rested on Alex as he spoke, his question making him think for a moment. "Hm, I don't really know. We can do something, but lying here would be fine as well." Sky replied, looking down at their hands. Honestly, Sky wanted to stay in bed all day, every day, but if Alex wanted to go anywhere, he would gladly go. Skylar took a deep breath in before looking back up at Alex. "Did you want to go anywhere or do anything apart from being lazy bums?" Sky asked quietly and softly. He let a small chuckle out and continued to smile. He was happy to spend time with Alex, it was much needed. He was also quite surprised that Alex still wanted to be his boyfriend after everything that had gone on. It was wild to Sky, he never thought he could be loved after witnessing his problems with addiction. Surely, if Sky never went to rehab and got worse, he would have assumed that Alex wouldn't have stayed by his side. He didn't like to think about that, though, so he pushed those thoughts aside and focused on Alex.

Alex let out a soft chuckle, his gaze drifting to where their hands rested together. The warmth of Skylar's touch was as comforting as it was grounding. He felt as though he could happily stay like this forever, wrapped in the quiet and the safety of Skylar's presence where there was no judgment, no fear, just them. Still, Skylar's question hung between them, and Alex took a moment to think. Did he want to go anywhere? Maybe. But going out meant stepping back into a world where he had to be careful, where every touch and glance had to be measured. Here, in this space, he didn't have to think about that. "I don't know." He admitted, tilting his head slightly as he studied Skylar's face. "While going out somewhere could be fine, I kind of like the idea of just... staying here. Just the two of us. No expectations, no one watching." His voice dropped slightly at the end, his fingers unconsciously tightening around Skylars. A small smile tugged at the corner of his lips. "Unless of course, you have a secret, super exciting date idea you've been waiting to spring on me." He teased, lightly, trying to keep the mood soft. He didn't actually expect there to be or think there was some kind of date planned, not with their relationship so new. The main reason he'd asked is because for a second Skylar had looked down, and Alex wasn't blind to the flicker of uncertainty that had crossed his expression. Brushing his thumb gently over Skylar's knuckles in an attempt to offer quiet reassurance he shifted closer to him. "You okay?" He asked allowing his voice to become a little quieter and softer. "You seemed kind of lost in your head for a second there." He said.

His attention was all focused on Alex now, pushing any negative thoughts aside. to the best of his ability. Lately, Sky had been trying to do that more, it was a part of his rehab journey, ushing any negative thoughts aside because it usually led to thinking about drugs. It was a cycle that Sky was trying to break, and even something so little could set his mind into a spiral. "Yeah, I'm fine. Staying here would be really nice. I love being alone with you." Skylar said, his voice teasing at the end. "In every way." Sky then added before laughing a bit. "Date night here?" Sky suggested, his tone playful. It was a really good idea, but Alex probably had to be home at some point. They could go run to the store and get some snacks or even make something homemade if Sky had the ingredients. Just thinking about a cute little stay-at-home date night made Skylar excited. A subconscious smile formed on his face as he thought about the possibilities.

Alex felt as though his heart skipped a beat as he watched Skylar's attention shift entirely toward him and push aside the quiet storms of thoughts that always seemed to linger. He admired how Skylar was trying to stay in the moment, focusing on what was good, what was in front of him, and not on anything else. It wasn't always an easy task, Alex knew that, but it was one of the things that made him admire Skylar all the more. A playful smile pulled its way onto his lips at Skylar's words, the teasing tone in his voice making Alex feel a familiar warmth deep in his chest. "In every way, huh?" He asked, raising a brow and allowing his smile to broaden. "I can't argue with that." He responded. The idea of a cozy date night here at Skylar's house sounded absolutely perfect. No pressure. No expectations. Just the two of them, together. It felt like the kind of night Alex could get lost in, and maybe even forget about the world for a while. "Date night here sounds amazing." He agreed, his voice soft and full of warmth. He glanced down at their hands, his thumb tracing circles on Skylar's skin before he looked back up at him with a small smirk. "I'm all in for snacks or whatever you want to do. Just as long as I get to spend tonight with you." He said. The thought of being in this safe little bubble with Skylar, just the two of them, felt so right. So much more than what Alex was used to, and so much more than what he'd ever thought he deserved.
