Finn stared at the girl for a moment before shaking his head slightly. "I don't expect anything in return." Finn said quietly. "Come sit and get warm, I won't bite." He then said, equally as quiet, but he was loud enough to be heard over the fire crackling. He looked away, back at the fire and food he was preparing for the girl. "What are you doing out here this far, alone?" He asked, his concern genuine even though they had only just met. It wasn't safe for a girl to be outside at night, alone. Someone could have easily followed her out here and done something terrible, it's not likely but not impossible. "You obviously don't have to answer or talk if you don't want to. You can just eat and leave, it doesn't matter to me." Finn then added after a couple of seconds. He glanced at her before taking the bag of chips and a can of ravioli out of his bag. "Take your pick." Finn said as he held out both options so she could see.

Aleria hadn't the slightest idea what to make of this male. He was already so different than anyone else she had met and that made her all the more suspicious. He said that he didn't want anything in return, but she didn't believe him, despite the honesty in his tone. Silently she listened to him, her gaze observant and wary. One wrong move and she'd run, with or without the food. At least, that's what she told herself, and yet, when she was instructed to sit, she found herself looking towards the fire for a second before slowly taking a seat. Her gaze had been quick to return to the male before her, watching as he retrieved a bag of chips and a can of ravioli from his bag. Almost immediately she felt herself beginning to salivate, and so as not to embarrass herself she hastily swallowed. "Ravioli..." She requested after a long moment of silence. Chewing at her bottom lip she looked up from the can and towards the male. He'd asked her why she was alone, made it obvious she didn't have to answer, and that alone had her taking down a fraction of the wall she'd put up. "I got into some trouble and had to leave home." Not a detailed explanation of why she was out here on her own, but it was the only answer she was going to give on that subject. "You?" She questioned.

When the girl had answered which one of the two items she had wanted, Finn was quick to put the other one back in the bag. He then grabbed the can opener, opened the can of ravioli, and poured it into their already dirtied pot. "This hasn't been dirty for long, we ate like 30 minutes ago but I don't think you'll mind." Finn said as he put the pot onto the fire. He listened when she spoke, stating her reason for being out there alone. It was pretty vague, which he expected since they were strangers. "I got into trouble too, not on purpose but still got in some trouble." Finn responded, giving her a vague answer as well. He assumed she may be wondering why Jinx was also out there, but Finn wasn't going to say anything. It wasn't his place, and even though saying something as vague as bad home life, he still felt as if it wasn't his place to say anything about it, especially since he saw how hard it was for her to open up to him. He glanced at Jinx, letting his gaze linger for a bit before returning his attention to the food on the fire. He grabbed the hot pot after a hot second and set it down in front of her, he then looked at the dirty utensils. He cocked his head and raised a brow. "Hm, I think we may have another fork somewhere." Finn said, grabbing his bag and checking it first. He found another fork, surprisingly not long after opening the first pocket. He then grabbed it and sat it down inside the pot, throwing the girl a glance.

Drawing her knees up to her chest, Aleria wrapped her arms around her knees, holding them close. Her gaze flicked to the pan when it was mentioned before shaking her head. "It's fine." She said, honestly it wasn't the worst thing she'd eaten out of. Since leaving home, since being on the run, she'd eaten plenty of things and had used a wide variety of dirty items, plates, and pots, many of which were in a worse state than the one that the male was holding. At the answer that she was given her gaze flicked up to him for a brief moment before she gave a nod. It didn't surprise her that she received as vague an answer as she had given and so she made no attempt to ask further. As silence settled between them, Aleria turned her gaze back to the crackling fire, watching as it devoured the wood that had been fed to it. Lifting a hand from where she'd left it on her knee she brushed a few strands of hair from her face and bit at her lower lip. It was only when the male moved, grabbing the pot from where he'd left it on the fire that her eyes shifted to him, watching as he searched his bag for a fork, and upon finding one, dropped it into the pot. If he hadn't found one she would have been more than content to use her hands, it wouldn't have mattered to her the mess such a thing would have made, or how big a fool of herself she would be making, not when hunger was leading her to willing abandon etiquette in favor of being able to eat.

Finn wasn't sure if he wanted to go lie down with the stranger still there, but he was so tired. He glanced at Jinx, and then back at the girl. A few more minutes couldn't hurt, he could go to sleep once she was done eating and had left. He brought his knees up and rested his arms on both of them while staring at the fire. From the amount of talking, even though it wasn't a big amount, Finn was surprised Jinx didn't wake up at all. Usually, the smallest sound would wake her up, but maybe she was extra tired tonight. Finn took a deep breath, breathing in the aromas of the steaming ravioli and smoke from the fire. He yawned and was quick to cover his mouth. He blinked slowly and tiredly as he stared at the burning fire. The silence was sickening between them, at least in Finn's opinion. Since she got caught trying to steal from them and was now sitting down eating their food, it had to be a bit awkward for her as well. Finn tried his best to make her feel as "comfortable" as she could be in this situation.

Uncomfortable and awkward didn't even begin to describe how Aleria was feeling as she began to wolf down the food that she'd been given. This man wasn't attempting to do anything with her and instead had remained true to his word and given her something to eat. She'd tried stealing from him only moments ago, and though they'd shared a brief moment of mild conversation, the silence that now settled between them seemed heavy, weighed down by her earlier actions. Instead of focusing on that though, she did her best to turn her attention to each forkful of ravioli she shoved into her mouth. Honestly, she couldn't remember ever having anything nearly as delicious as this, maybe it was the hunger talking, but this can of ravioli was the single best thing she had had in all eighteen years of her life. Only slowing her borderline frantic eating to swallow a mouthful she looked towards the male sitting across from her. For a second she watched as he sat, his gaze on the fire. She didn't attempt to say anything until a few minutes later when she'd not only finished the cooked can of ravioli but had practically licked the pan clean of any remaining sauce. Setting it down carefully, Aleria wiped her mouth with the back of her hand and let out a content sigh. "Thank you..." She said after a moment, turning her eyes to the male who had, so far, been more genuinely kind than anyone else she'd met.

Finn turned his head slightly when he heard the girl speak, but he chose not to meet her eyes just yet. For a moment he was silent, but soon after he met her eyes and began to speak, "You're welcome." He had no clue if much more should be spoken between them or if they both should get back to their own lives. Offering the girl a quick smile, Finn packed up whatever was now lying out. The fire looked like it was going to be fine for most of the night so he decided not to add any more wood. He zipped up his bag and made his way over to the tent where Jinx was sleeping, bringing the backpack with him. He usually would leave the backpack outside of the tent, but with this girl around he didn't trust leaving it out tonight. He set the backpack down with Jinx before taking his shoes off.

Aleria wouldn't have been surprised if this guy said nothing more to her. In fact, she'd understand it after attempting to steal from him. Honestly, he'd done more for her than most would after doing something like that. Clearing her throat she gave a small smile when he responded to her and then watched as he moved to pack up and head into the tent, taking his bag with him. She hadn't been planning to steal from him again, but if she had any opportunity to take that bag disappeared with him. Letting out a soft sigh she lingered where she sat for a long moment before slowly pushing herself to her feet. She doubted they'd like her to remain close during the night, and while the warmth of the fire was tempting she decided to move over to the far wall of the building. There she moved to lie down, using her backpack as a pillow and curling up in an attempt to remain as warm as possible.

As Finn moved to lie down next to Jinx, he couldn't help but glance at the girl every once and a while. He watched as she was hesitant to get up and leave, and then he was a little surprised when she didn't leave the building. Finn had thought that maybe she'd want to leave after eating, but he thought wrong. Carefully, he watched as she laid down near the furthest wall from them. He only watched her for a few more moments before quickly getting up, and crawling halfway outside of the tent. "Get your ass back here, I can't watch you sleep there instead of over here." He whisper shouted, trying his best not to wake Jinx. He shook his head slightly, knowing he could have worded that better. "I know it's a little uncomfy to sleep close to strangers but please, the fire will keep you warm honey." Finn spoke, his voice again filled with the same genuine from earlier. Crawling back inside the tent, he didn't wait for an answer. It was either she listened and took his offer, or stayed cold.

Aleria had put distance between herself and the tent with the two strangers for two reasons. One was for their comfort and ease, the other was for herself. As uncomfortable as it might have been for them to have her sleeping so close, it was just as uncomfortable for her. Still though, when she noticed the male crawling halfway out of the tent and then hearing him softly shout at her she tensed and lifted her head from her backpack. Her gaze flicked over to the fire before she looked back at him. Was he serious? "Are you sure?!" She called back, though why she was even entertaining the idea she wasn't sure. Honestly, she should keep a distance between herself and the male. But the temptation of the warmth, much like the food had been, had her moving to sit up, her gaze flicking to the fire before returning to the male.
