Skylar's brows furrowed even further, but then his face dropped slightly after hearing Alex lie. Immediately, his eyes darted to Alex's face. He wanted to call him a liar, but found himself unable to speak. Furrowing his brows further, he looked back at Alex's dad. Sticking up the middle finger at the man, Alex's words once again went in one ear and out the other. Turning around, he threw an angered glance at Alex. He then stumbled to the front door and put on his shoes. He was sloppy with tying the laces. Opening the door, he walked outside, slamming the door shut behind him, unsure if Alex was following. He then fished through his pockets for his keys. Once he found them, he unlocked his truck before stumbling to the driver's seat. Sky couldn't believe everything that just went down. He wanted to say more, but it was better that he was leaving. If he had stayed in there any longer, he would have lunged at the man. People like that pissed Skylar off so much. They got under his skin, but he would have been able to control himself better if he hadn't been so wasted.

Alex's legs felt like jelly even as he found himself rushing after Skylar. He knew that he'd made a mistake in lying. And yet, it wasn't like he could tell the truth, not if it meant revealing it like that, and when emotions were high. His father... he had never seen him like that, and he'd been pretty damn sure being disowned would have been the least of his concerns. He was shaking as he rushed to put on his shoes, his hands and fingers trembling so badly that he couldn't tie the laces, and so ultimately he gave up and shoved them into the sides of his shoes before he yanked the door open and moved out to the car. "You are not driving." He said, hating that despite the fact he needed to sound firm and authoritative, his voice was meek and timid. He was still too shocked about what had happened, ashamed, and terrified to feel the anger that was boiling beneath the surface.

Sky struggled to open his truck door before looking up after hearing Alex's voice. "Go back inside Alex." Sky said coldly, finally opening his truck door. Sky didn't want to be anywhere near Alex after he had lied like that. He was too angry at his father, so Alex's lie made him angry at him as well. Sky's vision was going blurry. He was too wasted to be driving, but that wasn't stopping him. He then hesitated for a moment, not getting into the truck. Throwing a glance at Alex, he then started to get into the seat. "Fuck this shit." Sky said to himself, still fuming from the whole situation. Balling his fists, he struggled to get into the seat.

Alex's steps faltered for a second upon hearing the coldness of Skylar's tone, and then seeing the look in his eyes. He was angry, and that was both clear and understandable. His father had been out of line... had said things that shouldn't have been said, but it wasn't exactly like Skylar was void of any responsibility either. He'd made that situation worse by arguing... and then by kissing him. The part of Alex that was angry wanted to lash out, but the part that was still reeling from what had just taken place stopped him from doing so. Instead of listening to the command Skylar gave for him to go back inside, he quickly moved around the truck to the driver's side. "Skylar... don't do this. You shouldn't be driving." He said, watching as he struggled to get into the seat. Clenching his jaw, Alex stepped forward and grabbed Skylar's arm in an attempt to stop him. "You're drunk... let me drive you home." He said, again hating that his voice trembled and held very little strength or conviction in it.

Just as Sky was getting into the driver's seat, he felt Alex grab him. Spinning around to face him with his brows furrowed, he pulled his arm away from Alex's grab. "Oh fuck you Alex." Sky said, feeling a wave of many emotions drown him. Anger, sadness, guilt. "How could you lie like that, and I bet you're gonna lie some more when you all talk about it." Skylar said with an angered but hurt tone. He furrowed his brows even more as he stared at Alex. Shaking his head, he began to try and get back into the truck. (Help this is so bad)

Alex stiffened when Skylar spun around to face him, and then when he yanked his arm from his grasp. At the question, at the anger and the sadness in his gaze and his tone, Alex looked down. He felt a rush of guilt in response, but along with the guilt came anger, especially when he heard his following words, the angered accusation in them. "I wouldn't have had to if you hadn't put me in that position." He said, tone defensive and hurt as well. "What the fuck were you thinking... it was one thing to talk to my dad like that, another entirely to kiss me in front of him." He said, his own tone matching Skylar's in its anger and hurt. Honestly, he felt betrayed; his trust in Skylar was shattered the moment he'd decided to use him to get back at his father because what... he'd said a few things that he didn't like? He clenched his jaw when Skylar moved to try to get back in the truck and shook his head, moving to grab his arm and pull him back and away from it. "I'm not letting you drive." He said firmly as he looked at him, tightening his hold on Skylar's arm ever so slightly.

Sky spun around once again. "My fucking bad for standing up to him" Sky said, raising his hands in surrender. He didn't try to pull away this time since Alex's grip was firmer. Furrowing his brows, he continued to stare at Alex. Sky then stumbled backwards, pulling Alex towards him. "Fuck." Sky muttered to himself. After steadying himself, he once again tried to get into his truck. Sky couldn't even manage to get into the truck himself. (agh sorry this is so bad)

Alex didn't bother to try to hide the anger that was gradually beginning to show itself as his fear and panic from earlier began to fade. "Fuck is right." He snapped and shook his head. "Why the hell did you do that? Why did you pick a fight with him... why did you come here drunk... why the hell did you kiss me?" He asked coldly, angered by the way he seemed to be trying to dismiss this, to dismiss his actions and his decisions. If he had been sober, how different would tonight have turned out? Clenching his jaw, he shook his head when Skylar tried to get into the truck again and pulled him back and away from it. "I said you're not driving." He snapped, his tone sharper now. Without hesitating, he reached down and grabbed the keys from Skylar's hand before stepping around him, fully intending to climb into the driver's seat and drive him home. It was a miracle that his parents hadn't stormed out here yet, demanding he leave Skylar alone and head inside. Perhaps his mother was still trying to calm his father down... whatever the reason, he wanted to get away from here before they inevitably came out and made their verdict on his friendship with Skylar more clear than they already had. "I'll drive you home." He added. ((It's not! lol))

"I did all of it because I'm fucked up!" Sky retorted, raising his voice. When Alex grabbed his keys, he immediately tried to get them back. "I fucking got it Alex." Sky said, only anger in his tone. He grabbed Alex's hand aggressively, trying to get back his keys. With his brows furrowed, he looked back up at Alex. As his vision went blurry again, he failed at grabbing the keys, but he grabbed hold of Alex's wrist. Sky didn't know why he was still trying to fight back, he was tiring himself even more. He could barely think, barely walk, barely speak. Surprisingly, he hasn't thrown up or passed out yet. Sky didn't even care about getting home. It was tempting to just walk away and pass out somewhere, but he stayed where he was.

None of what Skylar was saying was easing Alex's anger. If anything, it was only adding fuel to the fire. "Not a good fucking excuse." He said coldly. It was always like that... whenever Skylar did something that directly impacted or hurt himself or Alex. Over and over, he'd tried to be supportive, to be there for him, to help him, to be an ear and a shoulder should he need it. What good had that done? It had done shit, and now he was trying to use the fact that he was fucked up to explain away his behavior. Not going to work, not this time. He'd made the choice to come here drunk, to say what he had, to kiss him in front of his family. Skylar had known about his situation, and yet he hadn't cared to think about the repercussions of his actions or his words. No... he got to go home back to his mom, who was accepting of who he was, back to a house that was warm, and to friends who knew and accepted him. Alex, on the other hand, had to face the consequences of Skylar's actions. Maybe he could explain it away as Skylar being drunk, he could lie, and assure his parents that he wasn't... He was pulled from his thoughts when he heard Skylar's response and saw as well as felt him attempting to get the keys back. Instinctively, he curled his fingers around them so tightly he could feel the metal biting into his hand. "Considering how wasted and upset you are, if you drive, you could get yourself or someone else killed." He said, moving to try and jerk his hand free from Skylar's hold. "Now... just go around and get into the passenger seat." He said, fixing a hurt and furious gaze on Skylar.
