Down side: Mikala is deaf. She wears a hearing aid, but only on one ear. She has both, but she doesn't like it for some reason. She knows sign language fluently. Trying to use her ability without being able to hear is like trying to read a newspaper that a dog ripped up. She can get bits and pieces from behavior, but nothing useful.

Other: Kayla typically runs low on iron. She carries an EpiPen in her bag at all times, as well as band aids and snacks. And a charger for her hearing aid.

I stalk through the crowd, hearing aid blaring. Subconsciously, I reach up to turn the world down. Where is he? He said we were going to meet up. And now he is late. I scan the crowds, looking for the characteristic mod of blond hair. I shove my small backpack further up on my shoulder as I keep moving.

Kinzeu toyed with the drawstrings of his black hoodie, standing up from the fence he was leaning on. He grinned when he saw a short, black-haired girl pushing her way through the crowd.

He waved, slowly walking towards her. She had on the face she always had, narrowed eyes and sort of frown-scowl.

Seeing the tall guy making his way over and I turn towards him. My progress is halted by a mom with an Entourage of mini humans gets in my way. Nothing that a little bit of patience can't fix. Okay, maybe a lot of patience. I look at him helplessly. I dodge around a little more and make it past the obstacle.
