Yesss. Maybe she does it because she knew he was having an affair with another woman, and the reason her mother was sick was a failed attempt by him to kill her and install the new mistress as queen. I know for sure Perse's starter post is gonna include her killing the Mistress :D

Perse is not only big brain, but a badass B)
Also, how long has the king been dead and how long has the famine and stuff been going on?

And she comes to Troy's door singing : Will you help me hide a body- And since Perse is 20. I wanna say at least a two years for the famine and disease and a year for the King's death. So she would've been 18 when war was declared and a couple weeks later famine/disease ensued. And when she was 19 her father died, and then her brother took over, but they soon all passed in a couple weeks. And then she became Queen, so she's been queen for litle under a year and improvement has been noticable, and the enemy forces are being pushed back.

Troy would be slightly concerned, but also like "Haha, sure."
I see. I was thinking Troy could've been presented to the Kingdom right around when Perse turned 19, so they still have some history but not enough to the point where everything is completed and there's no room for some sort of arc or growth.

I feel like Perse is gonna be more quiet and stoic which will be dangerous. I am even planning on having her lead a battle .

I feel like right now, with the disease and famine, Troy will be trying his best to comfort the Queen as a friend, most of all. Seeing her like this will break him, honestly, and he will try his best to prevent her doing anything irrational.

I will say this: the Queen is going on a destructive path. She will be taxing nobles more and limiting their grandous amounts of food to feed her people. She may even starve herself before letting her people starve. She feels a good queen knows her people eat well before she feasts. And she will also be requiring Nobles to send any personal armies/resources for the war efforts. And she feels a good queen knows her people safe before she sleeps so she's hardly gotten any rest. Deserters will be heavily punished. She also is starting to be a bit paranoid of her court She also hasn't had time to grive her two brothers she liked death's. And not to mention her mother is going to pass, which will cause her to kill the Mistress.

Seeing a character fall down this path of darkness is definitely depressing, but also interesting to see. Perhaps when this is all over, and when the kingdom can be one again, she will realize that what she's done isn't the greatest thing or wasn't morally okay. I'm excited to see how you portray such a character, and one that is obvioulsy broken.
