THE FUNNIEST THING HAPPENED TODAY! I was at musical practice, chilling in the wings, when all the sudden I hear a high-pitched scream, and then people not on the stage were jumping up and down and chaos ensued, and I went over to investigate because I was wondering why they were screaming. Everyone was screaming because THERE WAS A MOUSE IN THE AUDITORIUM! A sophomore climbed on a chair and was crying because she's terrified of mice, the vocal director/my orchestra teacher jumped up on a bench and screamed "OH MY GOD GET IT AWAY FROM ME!" and all the while, two dudes were supposed to be singing "Believe it or Not", because that's the scene that was running, and they changed the lyrics mid-song to "Believe it or not, there's a mouse in the aud!" Then someone brought a bowl and everyone was running after this little mouse, throwing the bowl at the mouse because if they got too close the mouse would run across their feet, resulting in everyone starting to scream and jump up and down again. It took and hour and 10-15 people to finally catch the mouse and get it outside, and we were still running scenes, and my poor orchestra teacher was sitting in a crouch on the bench, playing the piano, even though the mouse couldn't get on the stage. We would be speaking our lines, and then there would be fresh screaming, so we would have to yell, and the acting director got kind of annoyed, but she was also laughing at the orchestra teacher because of how she was sitting on the bench. It was chaos. And they only caught the mouse because the mouse played dead because it got tired. |

We had our first musical performances today, and during the performance an audience member with no prior history had a grand mal seizure, luckily my mom was there and she's a nurse, and the girl is okay now, thank goodness. Then during the second one, everyone was still traumatized from the first one, and a lot of people had panic attacks or almost had panic attacks, and then I almost passed out twice, a cast member had an asthma attack, and all in all they were average performances. But I didn't forget my lines or songs!! I forgot one move in one dance, but that's to be expected. |
