We were told, that we were the fate of the world.

But they lied.

Not long ago, just like any other nightmare of a story, a virus had broken out, wiping the entire world of its... fertility. Women were no longer able to reproduce, it was just impossible. They would go to doctors, hospitals, specialists, everyone and everything that they believed could have helped, and nothing. Pregnant women? The ones who were carrying children before this entire place went to shit? Unfortunately, they miscarried. Every single one of them, days, or even hours after attracting the virus... poof. Gone. No babies, no fetuses, nothing. Oddly, It was as if a baby had never been there. No baby bump, no fertilized eggs.. nothing. Obviously, the world went into a state of panic. And humans being humans, assuming the worst-case scenario, they began to cry out, "it's the end of our race!" Going mad, the human population began throwing raids, destructive, chaotic raids that would rain down upon the innocent. So, when the Government took note of this, they sent out their very.. special scientists out to rally up a group of women, and of course, begin experimenting. It only took them 5 months, to "find a cure." Ignoring the fact it was discovered so soon, people began rushing to every hospital they could to find this so-called, "cure."

But, how could one find a cure, and not test it out? Well. The Scientists who discovered the cure were able to fertilize a specific group of women, who successfully became pregnant. So after the successful pregnancies, the cure was released and given out to the world, and the world went back to normal.. as normal as it could be, anyways. As days went by, the women began to notice that something was wrong. Terribly wrong. They began to notice how quickly their children were growing inside of them, and how their original, 40-week pregnancy turned into a 10-week pregnancy. When the time came, and the women gave birth, unfortunately, the mothers died during childbirth.

It was a depressing time, as all the women around the world began dying during their pregnancies.

As the mothers passed on, their babies were healthy. Completely fine. That was until they would reach the age of 16, and they began shifting. What the scientists didn't know, was with their careless observation and testing, the "cure" was loaded with a bacterial infection that would affect the host of both the baby and the mother. But in this situation, it affected the mother in a negative way, and the baby in a, somewhat positive way.

When the children began to shift, this caught the eye of the government and the bat-shit crazy scientists. And so, a price was put on these children's heads, attempting to gain the world's favor in hunting these things down and bringing them in. Now the only problem is, will they succeed in catching them?

Are you going to sit back and watch as the Government hunts you down, or are you going to fight back?

Shifter Categories

The categories of Shifters are laid out below. Cat 5 is the strongest and most dangerous while being unexpected.. and Cat 1 is the lowest on the totem pole. However, they all seem to have something special and unique about them.. even Cat 1's are known to be dangerous creatures.

Category 5
{ Cat 5 }

Known as Cat 5's, or Quilles. These shifters are to be the most dangerous out of the 5 categories and the most difficult to find. They have the most control over their abilities as well as they are more advanced, intelligent, and there has yet information about them that has been discovered.

Large Canine { common }

Golden "X"-like marking on the bottom left Wrist

Category 4
{ Cat 4 }

Known as Cat 4's or Demi's. These shifters are known to be quite intelligent and swift, with quite a bit of control over their abilities however, there has been a case or two where some have lost control.. they are highly dangerous, and are to be tracked down with caution.

Blue swirl-like marking on their upper forearm

Category 3
{ Cat 3 }

Known as Cat 3's or Uni's.. well, these are the rarest of the 5 shifters. No one knows why, but they all hold an ability outside of their shifting abilities.. they can manipulate electricity and use it to their will. However, they are not in entire control of it and it isn't uncommon to see them fumbling up.

Black swirl-like marking on their lower forearm

Category 2
{ Cat 2 }

Known as Cat 2's or Cike's, not really anything super special about them. The most commonly found Cat's, along with the Cat 1's. They are easily found and identified and are to be said to be the weakest - strength-wise - out of the 5.
