Alaric released a deep chuckle, absolutely amused by how well the servant girl had managed to keep a level head. But her racing heart gave way to her nervousness. Not to mention the brief panicked facial expression the girl had before answering the question. His chuckle soon morphed into twisted laughter as he clutched his stomach, not able to contain his dark humour. He had managed to catch her off guard, he had achieved what he had set out to do, even if he couldn't catch her in a lie. But his laughter was not only due to how she had to think on her feet, he laughed because of her compassion for the other blood bags.

"You should've seen your face! It was priceless! Did you really think you were gonna hurt me fweelings?" The vampire mocked the girl, a grin in place. He could care less what she would've answered. He would've been indifferent, for if he was insulted by her answer that would make him a very pathetic vampire. Besides, if you've lived for more than a hundred years you learn to grow immune to others opinions. If the girl had said that she didn't wish to be his servant, well he wouldn't have been surprised. He didn't treat her with respect, just treated her like a food. If she had intended not to insult him she had succeeded but he didn't need her to take his feelings into account. He did not need her pitty.

He slowly moved towards her as he spoke, a dark look in his eyes. "Next time, when I ask you a question... do not manipulate your answer in order to please me, to-to not offend me... it's insulting. It's insulting that you think your honesty could affect me. I asked, no ensured that you would be honest with me. But you care, don't you? You care for others who could give a shit about you! But I don't blame you, it's in your genetics. You human's care too much! It'll get you killed one day... You hate that girl and yet, you don't want her to get killed... You hate that male but is willing to give up something more valuable than his life to save it. Here's some advice little lamb... you're in the lion's den! Every second of every day is a threat to your life! You're not in the human kingdom anymore... You think vampires have lived this long out of sheer luck? We're immortal because we age much slower, that doesn't mean we can't be killed! You've entered a dangerous world, little lamb..." he came to a halt in front of the girl, look down at her, his tone low and foreboding.

"It's true that if you speak your mind around here, it could get you killed or thrown in the dungeons... But with me your honesty, no matter how brutal, is vital if you want to stay my servant. Let me make one thing clear... do not pity me! I do not need it! Nor do I want it! If others see your pity they'll think I'm weak... I am not weak. Understood?" The last bit was hissed out as he glared at the girl before taking a step back and resumed talking. "Regarding your information about the other girl, I'd advise you tell her to work on that stubbornness... my sister does not need another challenge on top of her current responsibilities. Lady Elizabeth may be a patient individual but her mate is not. If that girl oversteps, Sir Raul will not act rational due to the mate bond and could end up killing her by accident... As for the male, congratulations you've just saved his ungrateful ass! So when these damn festivities are over this evening, I'll be taking you to the dungeons to treat him and help him look presentable... my brother has decided to employ him within the guard, to train him to defend himself against a vampire." He proceeded to speak about the other two humans who she had mentioned. He demanded honesty from her and would give her the same courtesy. She had answered all of his questions with the utmost honesty, even if they were guarded.

"You've won this game, little lamb... congratulations, your favour is still valid until you use it. I suggest you use it more wisely and dare I say, more selfishly... Now run along... your personal service isn't required for the rest of the evening... When that wretched thing tries to hurt you, please inform me right away for that is against the law. Lady Cordelia is a... possessive vampire who thinks highly of herself. You humans better tread on egg shells when she's around... That's all, leave..." he warned the girl before dismissing her for the evening. He left the girl in his room, using his speed to find his sister and to stay by her side until Cordelia arrived.

Raph has a light tan skin tone due to his half Latino bloodline. His face oval in nature though paired with a sharp jaw line and is sprinkled with a few dark colored freckles. His lips are quite thin, being a light pink in colour though his bottom lip is a slightly darker coloured hue. His eyes are quite the dark shade of brown. People have complimented him by saying that they resemble deep pools of warm chocolate. When angry, these warm brown hues turn into a dark, wild brown. His eyebrows are thin and dark choclate almost black. His hair dark, chocolatey black hair is kept as short as possible. Though it's never been properly cut so it's often uneven and messy. But if and when he lets it grow out, even in it's short length, it's quite curly. When it does grow too long, Raph just pulls it back in a messy bun. A long thin scar reaches from the side of his nose to just a few inches from his ear, caused by an accident whilst on the run from a horde of infected.

Raph stands at 6'8" and is well toned, though he generally has a lean and lanky appearance. He has somewhat broad shoulders and chest. He can be found wearing light materials. He mostly wears practical clothing. But he has a favourite black, worn leather jacket and a trusty pair of very worn sneakers.

There are two things that others easily notice about Raphael: he's a major flirt and a smart ass. His charismatic nature allows him to openly flirt with anyone without having any romantic intentions behind it. He just enjoys seeing others flustered or annoyed when he does that. He doesn't act like a know-it-all and he's aware that he doesn't know everything. But it won't stop him from throwing in a snarky comment to rile someone up. He loves to annoy others, so if you want him to stop then simply ignore him. Because he hates being ignored. He doesn't want to be the centre of attention, he just wants someone acknowledging his existence. As a single child, he grew up alone and without the love of his parents. So he perceives negative acknowledgement the same as positive acknowledgement. He can be snappy at times but he would never outright insult someone. If others reciprocate with a smart ass comment or flirty remark Raph would take it in his stride, enjoying their company and even consider them as friends. After all, they have to be able to put up with him to do that.

If and when Raph considers you a friend, know that he would go to great lengths to protect you and be there for you. Come hell or high water, this you man will not be leaving your side. He immensely loyal to those he trusts, to his friends, maybe even dangerously so. Like you could've committed murder and despite knowing this, he'd still say your innocent. Do not misinterpret his loyalty as naivety, he has a strong set of morals and he isn't blind to what's going on in the world. Along with his loyalty, he's honest too. Yes, he will sugarcoat things if the situation calls for it but he will not lie. Period. And if he catches you in a lie, oh boy, be ready for a beating or a lecture. This stems from his parents, and other people he was around while growing up, constantly feeding him lies.

He's impulsive. That saying about "If your friend jumped in the fire, would you jump too?", well he's the friend. And it most definitely does not help that he's immune to the infected. He would use himself as a human shield to protect someone else, happily taking the hits and/ or explosions. Hell, he'd take a bullet for you. He just doesn't fear death nor experiences pain like everyone else. He knows he's not immortal and respects that. His pain tolerance is dangerously high and it takes quite a lot of damage to his body before his brain realises he's in pain. His Impulsive behaviour is not all that bad since it does help him in having fun or trying new things. It also does make him a quite rule breaker. He respects authority but it doesn't mean he'll always listen.

Raph experiences the opposite of outbursts, suddenly becoming quiet and unresponsive for a few minutes. This happens when he's worked up, nervous or frustrated and is struggling to word his thoughts and emotions. Just give him a sec, he'll come to you when he's ready to express himself. Though, don't let him get stuck in his own head for too long. He tends to violently lash out, more angry at himself because his brain isn't working like it's supposed to.

Rin hummed in acknowledgment of what Jack was saying, indicating that she was indeed listening, though opting to stay silent. Her gaze would flicker to their surroundings, not due to paranoia but simply out of habit. As a halfbreed, she needed to be on her toes when it concerned other supernatural and their whereabouts. But she couldn't help as her full focus snapped back to Jack at his somewhat personal question. 'How did a girl in a flower shop get involved with these kinds of people?' is a good question to ask and a difficult question to answer. She needed to answer with the truth disguised as a lie. Hunters were perceptive, well those that she had worked with prior, and no doubt this hunter would take her words with a pinch of salt.

"Clients often love to arrange for a bouquet of roses to be delivered to their mistresses... It's not pleasant when delivering them, especially if the mistress receives the bouquet only... partially... dressed..." a light, involuntary, blush dusted her cheeks at the embarrassing recollection. The client was a rich human, though the recipient of the bouquet was a succubus, barely dressed. Naturally, the succubus didn't mind but poor Rin was very flustered. That and the fact that some Romeo-and-Juliet-level romance between two gangs had taken place, Rin had found herself delivering flowers in the middle of an important sit-down. But Jack didn't need to know either of these things. As such, she happily agreed with him taking more than enough weapons.

"The Red Light district comes alive at night... though being in the area before it gets dark to check things out might be a good idea... And perhaps dress to blend in? We'll stick out like sore thumbs if we show up in casual/ work clothing..." Rin continued on, close to rambling in order to hide her flustered state. "We can meet up later... perhaps here, just before it gets dark... then head there after," she suggested, "I don't mind... I do deliveries there on a regular basis..." she assured him while shrugging her shoulders.

She waited until he returned from placing his order, giving him a chance to drink his coffee and listen to his follow-up questions. "I'm not quite sure what it might be, but a few species comes to mind. I'll be able to narrow it down after we've gotten more information... And maybe we shouldn't start questioning people right away... The people there are quite distrustful... of strangers and the truth." She advised the young hunter, hoping to not attract too much attention from the inhabitants of the Red Light District.

Rin handed him his photo, a grim expression in place from his question. "I help hunters for personal reasons... and knowing these reasons won't help you solve this case... the same can be said regarding why you became a hunter... I don't ask strangers personal questions and neither should you. After you've solved this case, we'll be going our separate ways..." Her tone was firm and she kept her sentences short. The question had hit very close to home and she wasn't ready to discuss her reasons for helping hunters, much less discuss them with a complete stranger.

She promptly stood from her seat and gathered her things. They had covered all that needed to be discussed so she felt that there was no need to prolong their interaction further. "I'll be heading off, your order has already been paid for so you can relax a bit if you like... we'll meet here at 7 tonight... then we'll have close to an hour to get to the Red Light District and enough time to scope out the surroundings..." she sent a small smile his way before heading off. She wasn't really looking forward to being around other supernatural but it was for the sake of helping the victims' families find closure.
