I sighed, it was barely even mid-day. "I'm going to go hunt, who is coming with?" I asked and The Dark pack stood ready, including Curse. I looked at my parents

"We will stay here to watch over the cave," My father said "Let us know if you spot a better location, this isn't a good one since it is right on a trail." He said and I nodded looking at Curse who then led us into the forest.

It didn't take long to come across a grassy plain. We didn't need something very big,

"Why don't I look for a cave actually and you all can hunt, that way we split up and double-task," I suggest
"I'm fine with that, just stay safe and call out if you need anything," Curse said and I ran off. I started running through a dense part of the forest, larger predators probably wouldn't go through here. After a while of running, I found a better location. As Curse said, I began to call out signaling 'come to me It didn't take long and Curse even brought me a piece of food in his mouth.

"Here, I brought this for you since you were busy doing something else important," he said "Why don't the rest of you go and fetch the others before the sun goes down," He said and they nodded before running off.

"Thank you," I said sitting down on my haunches, and beginning to eat. I paused for a second thinking, "Why does everyone treat you so highly?" I asked him, looking up at him.

"Well similar to your dad in his time, I am currently the most up-to-date military raptor hybrid. So naturally, since I'm one of the strongest I am one of the most respected and have one of the highest ranks." He explained and I quickly understood.

"That makes sense," I said after swallowing a piece of meat. He sat down on his haunches near me about a foot away on my right side. We were both sort of relaxing after all the excitement.

I sat as far away from everybody as i possibly could. I wished i couldve went on the hunt but i knew father wanted me here. After about an hour of just sitting and waiting the Dark Pack members ran up to the den and said to follow them to a better location. Everyone got up and followed them. It was honestly pretty easy to keep up with the military raptors but i could tell Miracle, Amor and Snowfall were having some troubles. I was glad they managed but they were pretty tired when we got to the new cave, den thing. Dad wispered to us so that no one could hear except us as he walked by, "Act like everything is okay and your not tired." He said this in a loving but serious tone. He then guided us to the back of the cave where we all sat down. Amor was very weak, i could tell but he tried his best to seem fine.

I continued to eat as they arrived, greeting only my parents.

"We are going to get a kill off our own," My mother said, and I raised my head from the food "We shouldn't take too long," She said walking up to me and nuzzling me, my father did the same surprisingly.

"Don't be afraid to holler, I know you can handle yourself," my father said which put a warm smile on my face. I continued to eat and once they were completely out of site Curse piped up.

"You have loving parents, but you are the only raptor that I know of to have been raised by their parents," He said

"My parents fought with the scientists for a bit and my father even killed done for getting too close to their den. After that, they decided to turn it into an experiment and see how we turned out," I said explaining it to him

"Since your parents were so smart they were able to outsmart the scientists and get what they wanted? That is so powerful," He said his voice trailing off.

"You know, you are technically the next most wanted female," He joked and I got flustered

"Yeah well I still got a few months before that's even an option," I said stating the obvious

"But am I wrong?" he asked "Plus I'm the same way, I've still got a few months till I'm full grown and fully matured." He said which made me drop my food

"You're not fully grown!?" I asked "You're taller than my dad right now, how much taller are you going to get?" I asked

"Not very much, I will probably only grow a few ore inches then it will be over with," He said. His gaze turned to the other raptors, he was analyzing them. I sighed, thus making him turn to look at me. "What's wrong?" He asked with a somewhat sympathetic look.

"All my siblings are gone, all I have is my parents and those guys," I said motioning to them. "Sure I see them as a family too but more like long distant family members, you see so often you have gotten tired of them." I explained "I don't know, I am basically family-zoning all of them," I joked this earned a chuckle from Curse. He smiled at me but then turned back to the other with a straight face.

I layed down next to Dad aa i listened to Curse and Rose talk. A small growl escaped me as Curse practically flirtes with Rose. After their conversation finished i couldn't help but stand and walk over to Rose. Dad frantically whispered to come back but i was sick of it. "Rose could i talk to you?" I then turned to Curse, "It wont take long alpha." As i said the word alpha as it was referring to Curse it made me want to throw up. I then turned back to Rose with a 'please look'. I knew that i really had to make my move if i wanted a chance with Rose.

"If you have something to say, do it here," Curse said "You are not a part of the Dark Pack yet so you cannot be left alone with a single member," He said "Common pack knowledge," He said and I gave Amor a somewhat sympathetic look. The looks basically said 'sorry, but he is right'. Curse stood up, he was ready to defend if needed and a couple of the other Dark pack members stood as well.

I held in a growl as most of the Dark Pack got all defensive. Dad was now on his feet and by my side saying, "Come on Amor, lets just lay back down and-" I just ignored dad for i knew i had to do this. I knew what might happen if i told my feelings to Rose but i also knew what would happen if i didn't, loneliness and regret. I then spoke to Rose, "Rose, i know you just think of me as a brother but from the time i was pretty young ive wanted something more. Rose, i love you and i know Curse loves you and thats why im probably going to get thrown out of here as soon as im done but i cant live with the guilt that i didnt even try so here it goes. Rose your the most beautiful raptor out there and Curse is right, your the the most wanted female. Your the most wanted thing in my heart. I would truly do anything for you, even if you choose Curse, ill still always love you. Oh Rose, you remind me of a warrior princess, strong, brave, smart and tough yet you have the fragrance of a flower. Your eyes are like the sun and when the shine on me i fear im going to melt. I love you Rose and i cant hide it anymore. I know your capable to take care of yourself but i want to support you as your mate and i uhhh just love you so much Rose. You don't even know the end of it." I then let out a breath of air before glancing over at Curse, hoping not to get instantly killed. I then turned back to Rose, "Im sorry if i made you uncomfortable Rose its just i couldn't hold it in anymore."

I stared at Amor with a black expression, I opened my mouth to speak but nothing came out. When I finally found my words I looked over to see Curse fuming. "Sorry Amor but I can't return the feelings," I said "I only see you as a tolerable brother," I said with little to no expressions. "We aren't even fully matured yet, so I'm not even thinking about relationships," I explained
"Get out," Was all Curse said, I looked at him, he was clearly holding back from attacking Amor. My parents came back and my father saw the situation, he clearly wasn't happy. He didn't seem to approve of the idea of me and Amor, so that was another reason. I hated disappointing him.

I wanted to cry as Rose rejected me but then again, i was just a normal raptor, not like Curse who was the latest thing. I held in my tears as i nodded at Rose before turning to Curse, "I know you hate me but take good care of her for me." I then bolted out of the den as angry looks fell upon me. All this just because i confessed my feelings? I shook my head and tears fell as i ran farther and father away from the cave. Not knowing what to do i went back to the other cave and layed down in the back. Scared, hurt and alone i let the tears flow as i curled into a tight ball.

I couldnt believe Amor did that. I tryed to stop him several times but he just ignored me. I then watched as Rose rejected him and he ran out. I did my best to show no emotion but this was truly getting hard. I also wanted to follow but i knew me and my other childern would have a better chance at surviving with Curse. I then glanced at Curse, hoping he wouldnt kick us out for Amor's actions.

Curse turned to Azul and his children. “If any of you try and pull that stunt, you are out, and I might not be so generous with punishment,” he growled. That earned a respectful look from my father, my mother just watched. She taught me to not be afraid of turning males down, to hold my standards high, and don’t make acceptions. I knew what my standards were but I wasn’t searching for a mate already. As said before there is no point in searching till I mature. I went back to eating and the Dark pack all sat down except Curse. After the incident, he was on edge.

When we went to sleep I was in the center of the pack, but for some reason, it didn’t feel crowded. My parents were on the outer edges while Curse was next to me. I sighed laying my head down,

“Goodnight boys, goodnight mom, and dad,” I said and the boys all said goodnight along with my parents.

“Goodnight Rose,” Curse said “Sleep well,”

“You too,” I managed to say before I passed out.

I nodded at Curse before going back to lay down beside my childern. As the pack got ready to sleep, my family huddled in the very back corner away from everyone. It was better that way i thought to myself. Jade wanted to sleep outside but i made her sleep with us. Even still she was on the outside and the farthest away she could be. As the rest of the pack said goodnight i wispered to my childern, "Im going to tell you now, life is going to be hard and very different than before. IF we managed to join the pack we will be the lowest rank so we will most likely get pushed around alot. And please, please, always listen to Curse and Rose, even if you hate it with all your might you must do as they say. Never talk back, and always do as Curse and Rose say. Our life depends on it. Also, never do what Amor just did, never. Keep to yourself unless one of the raptors talks to you first. Socialize between ourselves and not the other raptors. If you do this we will have an okay time. I might make more rules but for now follow the ones i have given you to perfection." After syaing this i slowly fell asleep.
