POV: Dakota

Dakota hears the barking and gets up, heading towards the cave. She sees Ace laying down outside the cave, so she sits down next to him. He looks up and nods to Dakota. She nods back, then enters the cave quietly.

"Alright. Now Milo, where'd you come from?" Mayhem questioned the Little Dog. She noticed Dakota enter the cave and greeted her. "Oh, hello. This is the Little Dog, He's fully recovered and normal, just freaked out,"

Milo whimpered as the other dog entered.

(Gonna switch up my POV's)
POV: Dakota

I nod. Noticing how Milo whimpered as I had enetered, I sit down next to the entrance and try to look as nice as possible. I hear Ace enter after me, and turn my head slightly to look at him. He sits down slightly behind me.

Mayhem pulled Milo out, nudging him forwards. "Where'd you come from, Little Dog?" She asked, wire haired tail curled effortlessly around her hindpaws. Even if the canine was a troublemaker, Mayhem knew how to be formal and commanding need be.

....

Milo yelps, claws scrabbling on the dirt ground as he was pulled to the center of the dogs. "my name isnt Little Dog.." He grumbled to himself, huffing. "Michigan, lived with a human family,"

POV: Dakota

I listen in in silence, occasionally looking down at Ace to make sure he's OK. "May I ask a question?" I ask slowly, already thinking about how to word my question.

Mayhem nodded. "Ask away." She yawns.

..

Milo sits in silence.

POV: Dakota

"How did you get here? Did your humans drop you off?" I ask quietly, trying not to sound rude. Ace looks up at me, but I don't look back down at him. He snuggles up to me and I let him.

"Just like the rest of them. Brought to the docks, set off on a boat with those cruel humans." Milo explains. "Luckily I wansnt killed,"

POV: Dakota

I say nothing, just look down at my paws, not really knowing what to say. I get slightly uncomfortable, and stand up. "I might go now. Have a good day," I say, and head out of the cave without another word. Ace bounds up to my side and I look down at him and smile slightly.

Milo shrinks back into the corner and curls up in the bed of leaves and straw.

Mayhem sighs and goes back to her post. She was tired, but didnt dare rest one bit.

Their safety was more important, if someone crashed she was awake.
