It was around 10:22 pm, on a warm night in July, and Kobahrn was helping his employees clean up the ice cream parlor from the nightly parlor rush, as it was about to close for the night, his doughy, flabby arms wobbling with each movement he made of his pudgy wrists as he helped dry the dishes. Kobahrn was a local celebrity in his hometown, given that he owned a homey ice cream parlor called the Lion's Delight, and to many who dined here, it was the best ice cream parlor in the entire west side of Wisconsin, and if one were to sample any of his signature treats, the claims would hold quite well, for Kobahrn was a culinary genius when it came to sweets, especially ice cream. From his Chocolate Cherry Bomb Sundae, to his Honeyed Banana Brownie Parfait, to his signature Lion's Delight Parfait, his goodies were something magnificent to behold in flavors, and his tremendous stomach was a testament of his hard work with experimenting new menu ideas. He was often a very hard worker, despite his tremendous stomach, which often surprised anyone who first gazed at the lion/panther hybrid.

Ivee walked into the Ice Cream parlor, she was tired, and after being fired from her job. She wanted to see if she could get a job there, she knew it seemed pitiful, but it was better than nothing. "Hey folks!" She sounded very cheery, despite how she felt, "Are ya' guys hiring? I just got fired, It would be fun to work here!" She offered enthusiasticly. As Kobahrn finished placing the last banana split boat in with the other glass saucers of its kind, he listened to the snow leopardess as she asked for a job from him. Once she was finished, he smiled, and turned to her as she sat down in the barstool. The barstools, booths, and other furnishings of the place were impressive pieces of work, as they resembled cozy pieces of furniture one would have at home, with excellent quality carvings reminiscent of the 18th century, and fashioned with soft, red velvet cushioning, although they were quite large, and obviously built to support anthros that were around Kobahrn's size, which made them quite roomy for the keister of the slender snow leopardess. The ice cream parlor itself was far different from the parlors that the snow leopardess had seen. The design wasn't that of a stereotypical 1950s diner, nor was it designed to be a ripoff of The Bent Spoon over in Princeton, New Jersey. Instead, the aesthetic reminded all who came in of home, with cozy red velvet carpeting, comfortable chairs... there was even a Victorian style fireplace crackling with a bright, warm flame. The entire place certainly was certainly an embodiment of the parlor aspect of ice cream parlor. Even the waiters and waitresses had garb that reminded her of modest evening robes, while still presenting themselves with the dignity and poise of true waitstaff, even though much of the staff was more than a little soft around the edges. Kobahrn smiled warmly at her, and proceeded to respond to her offers for a job. "Well miss, you coming to me for a job offer is a very interesting idea, and it makes me quite curious about your skill set. What are you good at in the work space?" Kobahrn asked, studying the snow leopardess with a level of intrigue...

"Well, where do I begin," Ivee smiled, "I was a Receptionist, so I had to deal with all sorts of customers, frustrated ones, kind ones, overly loud ones, and way too quiet ones" She started, "And I was great with making sure they were happy with us and would suggest us to others" She straigtened the colar of her button-up shirt, "I'm used to the rudeness of some customers" She added with a smile. "I'm happy to help you!" She grinned.

Kobahrn smiled warmly at her. Based on what he could see, she was telling the truth, and she seemed to stare at him in a strangely enamored way. "Are you familiar with cooking in any way?" Kobahrn asked.

"Yeah, before we broke up, me and my Boyfriend lived together, and I had to cook for him since he had no experience" Ivee nodded, "In case you were going to ask, I have made Ice Cream before for my sister's birthday" She smiled.

(Thank you for the heads up. ^-^) Kobahrn smiled warmly at her. "Well, in that case, you are free to start working alongside me tomorrow right here behind this counter, as a test run to see if you can truly handle the service. Of course, I'll have you taste one of my signature creations here before I officially have to go home for the night, that way you can get a literal taste of our menu. Don't worry about paying. This confection is on the house." Kobahrn said honestly.

Ivee was suprised at his kindness, "Thanks!" She grinned, truly happy. She sat down in one of the very comfy chairs, she was very skinny, so she felt extremely small in those chairs, she lounged there as she waited, smiling. Edited at February 25, 2021 05:46 PM by Howls Of Thunder
