(Alright, thats fine) Oak nodded. "Yes, it means Frozen in an Old Language. I decided it because of his coat. Although his paws and tail don't match it." She chuckled slightly then resumed plucking the bird and setting aside the feathers. It was soon ready and she bit into the flesh, savoring the fresh bird meat in her mouth.

Steven smiled, "It is fitting. My Parents were going to name my sister Arion, the name of a type of slug, then she got hyperactive, and named her Enara meaning illumination, enlightenment, to bring light into darkness, Fitting" He looked at Oak, then a strange feeling flooded him, he blushed. did I just blush? what is wrong with me...? Steven thought.

Oak nodded, listening to his thoughts. She felt him looking at her, and glanced up in time to see him blush. I wonder why he blushed? Wait . . . why do I feel like blushing? Don't do it Oak, don't you dare blush in front of him. She snapped back to reality and glanced away. "Yes, 'tis." She said simply, not expanding any further on the subject. Then her ears shot up as she heard the familiar whine-yip of a pup. Sitting up, she saw Beku being carried over by Shadow, the alpha. He placed the pup on the ground by her feet and stared at Oak. "Tell me, Oaken, why is there a stray pup wandering the camp? He says you are his mother? Is this true?" His voice was menacing and he looked furious.

Steven bristled with rage, he tried to contain his anger but it flooded through him, "What the hell do you think you're doing? Put him down, this is Oak's pup, weither you like it or not, If you have a problem with that, I'll smack that furious look of your face" Steven snarled, he didn't know what had come over him.

Shadow set down the pup, allowing him to run to Oak. He stared at Steven, narrowing his eyes. "That was not my question. Have you forgotten who is alpha? I am, and I will not be threatened by the likes of young." He snarled back, but did not move. Transferring his gaze back to Oak, he raised an eyebrow in question. "I have not seen you with any males, and I am sure it would have been obvious if you were expecting. Where did you get this pup?" Oak sighed, knowing it was useless to argue. "I found him in the woods when I was hunting. He was hungry, lost, and he said his mother was dead. I fed him and brought him back. Then I adopted him." She said, as Beku looked back and forth between Shadow and Steven. "Please don't harm him or throw him out." She said, glancing at him for a moment. Oak wondered why Steven seemed so riled up about the confrontion. "As for him wandering around, well, I told him he could explore the camp. The healer already checked him over and says he is fine."

Steven sighed, with one last growl at Shadow he turned and laid down next to Oak, Why doesn't she care more? He wondered, Or maybe... I care too much, why should I care??? Steven shook the thought away and brought himself back to his senses. Shadow still stood in front of Oak.

Shadow sighed, shaking his head. "Please try to ask me permission before adopting any other stray pups. His food will come out of your portion, and you will be responsible for protecting and raising him." Giving Steven a warning glance, he turned away and walking off. Oak let out a breath of relief, nuzzling Beku.

"That's over" Steven stated, relieved. He glanced at Oak and Beku, and felt a series of Longing pangs, he wished he had a mother that would care for him forever, until she died of old age, she didn't have to die so soon... Steven shook the thought again, "Beku is so lucky to have such a great father" He praised.

Oak saw a longing look in Stevens eyes as he watched them. She wondered what he longed for. A mother, a pup, a friend, Beku, or even . . . her? But why... Maybe thats the reason he was so mad when Shadow demanded information about Beku. Perhaps . . . but no. Oak shook the thought from her mind. He had Enara, even if she was childish at times. Why would he need another female? Snapping back to reality, she heard Stevens comment. "Beku is so lucky to have such a great father." Oak smiled at his meaningful praise. "Thanks." Then she stopped short. Had he said father? But she was a mother, what did he mean? "What do you mean, father? I don't have a mate." She said slowly, confused, then chuckled slightly. "Not that I don't have an interest in a certain male..."
