Steven padded over to the pile of prey, he dragged a big hawk to share with his sister, "Here Nara, to take your mind off it" Steven smiled, he took a bite out, and swallowed it happily. Enara hesitantly clawed off a patch of feathers, and bit a big chunk out. Anger flashed in her eyes. "Woah there" Steven raised his eyebrows, suprised when he saw her angry.

The wolf stepped out and Oak realized it was nothing more than a pup. Relaxing, she sat up. It yelped when it saw her and scrambled back.

"Wh-who are y-you?" He asked shakily, and she smiled gently.

"My name is Oak. Are you alright? Why are you out here alone?" He whimpered, and she could tell he was very young, probably just old enough to be seperated from his mother.

"I-I'm fine. M-my mother d-died." He said, tears sprinign to his eyes. Oaks heart melted a little, and she nuzzled him lovingly.

"Its alright. I will take you back to camp and care for you. What is your name?" He glanced up.

"I don't have a name. Do you?" She was taken back by his answer, but brushed it off.

"I'm Oak. Come on, I can carry you, okay?" He nodded and she picked him up.

"Are you hungry?" She said through a mouthful of fur.

"Yes, miss Oak." Oak almost broke down with laughter at how he addressed her, but kept it down to a snicker.

"Please, just Oak. I have some rabbit you can eat." Setting him down, she scratched away the dirt over the rabbit then placed it before him. He began attacking it, eating it as fast as he could. Slightly surprised, Oak sat down and waited for him to finish, wondering how the pack and alpha would react to this unique pup.

I wonder when Oak will return... Steven sensed something strange happening in the woods, and has been worrying since, Will she be okay? He shook his fur out, She'll be fine, she's stronger than you are.. mentaly, he thought. Steven sighed and laid himself down, basking in the late morning's glow.

Once the pup finished, and was ready to travel again, Oak headed towards camp, carrying him. Trotting into the camp, she went for the healers den, to see if the pup was alright. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Steven, but ignored him. Something in the corner of her heart tugged her to go over to him, but she refused. Setting the pup down in the healers den, she explained to Flume what had happened. The healer promised to return the pup to her afterwards. Oak nodded, then settled on a boulder overlooking the camp. The sun warmed her neatly pressed fur, as she lay her head on her paws, awaiting for something new to happen. Slowly her eyes closed, as light slumber overtook her.

Steven looked at the pup with suprise, Did she have the pup? Nah, He told himself, I would have known... pluss.. she never mentioned any Males. Steven put his mind to rest, and he went to go visit Flume. "Hey, Flume.. who is that pup?" Steven asked, sitting down with his tail neatly wrapped around him.

Oak purred a little in her sleep, like a cat. Only for a moment, then it subsided. Rolling onto her side, she growled playfully, batting at the air. After a few minutes, she had her paws in the air, facing the sky. Suddenly her eyes snapped open and she came to her feet. A small growl issued from her mouth as her head turned towards the healers den. Oak relaxed when she saw Steven, and sat back down, her eyes trained on him.

Steven felt a pair of eyes burn into him as Flume explained about the pup, but Steven found himself uninterested suddenly, he whipped aroundn to see Oak staring at him. He gulped and padded out, Leaving Flume still talking, not noticing Steven's departure.

"Hey Oak" Steven sat down beside her, he replayed what he had listened to from Flume, "So you found a random pup in the woods? Did you name em'?"

Oak barely glanced at him, her eyes straying from the healers den.

"No, he is not a 'random pup'. I have yet to hear his entire story, but I know his mother died. And no, I did not 'name em', he will choose his own name unless he wants me to decide." She said coldy, though her heart tugged at her to be kinder.

Why do I feel like he is . . . different, than the other males. For some reason I just feel . . . I don't know, odd . . . around him? She thought silently, awaiting his answer.

Steven flinched at her harsh words, "If you want me to go... I can, I didn't mean to.. I dunno, ask" Steven dipped his head, he padded over to a dark corner of camp. It was surrounded by a barrier of thorns and Steven went there whenever he wanted to be alone, wether he was angry, or frustrated, or upset. Steven put his paws over his snout and sulked.

Oak shrugged, looking over at him.

"It really doesn't matter to me. You go where you want to. And I don't know why you didn't mean to ask, it is a perfectly normal question. It was your delivery that irked me so. I apologize if I have offended you unnecessarily." She said, before he left. Removing her gaze from his retreating form, she looked back to the healers den. Flume was speaking to the pup, as the pup glanced over at her. His face lit up, and a few moments later he bounded over to her.
