In the fair kingdom of Lynsdor,
there lived a fine Princess, who was unlike most of noble blood.
🌿🌿🌿
The woman was not of pure human descent, and while she was loved dearly by her father, the humans of the land harbored a great hatred for anyone who was not exactly like them.
Still, the Princess held a great love for her kingdom.
🌿🌿🌿
Within the lands of Lynsdor, though, there is a great population of those who aren't human. They are more eager to support the Princess, even if they are unsure of how good of a ruler she would be.
Among those who are not of pure human blood are the witches, who are led by the Council of Four, although most dismiss the witches as legends and fakes.
When a witch is rumored to have appeared, they tend to disappear quite quickly.
🌿🌿🌿
In the town at the bast of the Palace, where the Princess resides, a powerful Witch roams, visiting a few times a week to sell her wares.

🌸
One day, the two cross paths,
and make history.
🌸

.
Name; Ava Weaver
.
Age; 20
.
Gender; Female
.
Looks; Ava has very sharp features. Her eyes are like a cat's, thin, slanted, and always watching. With half lidded eyes, and her long and dark lashes, Ava's gaze is very mysterious. She rarely opens her eyes fully, giving people just a glimpse of her purple-blue eyes. This is most likely on purpose, as oddly colored eyes are traits of a witch, and cannot be easily disguised.
Her nose is round at the tip, with a straight bridge. Her nose is small and petite, and she has a plain gold septum ring. It is small, and hardly noticeable. The other piercing on her nose is nostril piercing, with the jewelry being a small blue gem set in gold.
Ava's jawline is defined and sharp, with a pointed chin as well. Her chin juts out slightly as well. Her cheekbones are prominent, but not overly so, and her cheeks are slightly sucken in. Ava has a smaller upper lip, with a semi-defined cupid's bow, and heavier lower lip, although it is not full. Her lips and mouth are small, with the corners naturally down turned slightly.
Ava's skin is very pale, even when she stays out in the sun for extended periods of time. There is almost no natural color or redness in her face. The sun doesn't burn her, but she doesn't ever tan either. The most that is does is add some redness to the bridge of her nose and on top of her cheeks, shoulders, and ears. Her skin is very healthy and smooth. There is a light dotting if freckles over Ava's shoulders, but they are hardly visible.
Although her pale skin is strange, it isn't shocking or abnormal, and doesn't attract any attention. What constantly draws in people's stares is her hair.
Ava has pure white hair that flows midway down her back. The long and straight locks are the cause of many odd stares and comments. That does not cause Ava to love her hair any less, although that was an emotion she had to learn. Her hair cannot be dyed in any way, and will not change color. She has a widows peak that adds to the sharpness of her facial features, and some shorter framing pieces of hair around her face. There isn't really a part in her hair, as Ava will have is up and away from her face or pushed back.
In contrast to her light hair, Ava's brows are a darker brown, and are thin with a high arch that tapers down to a thin point.
Ava is around 5'8, and has a thin frame, although there is meat on her bones, with a small amount of muscle. She has a column body shape, with aligned shoulders and hips, and an almost aligned waist. She has very little curves, with thicker thighs and calves.
-
Ava has some certain items that are a very important to her, and that she never takes off. With jewelry, she has her septum ring and blue gemstone, along with a small necklace. On the thin leather chain is a rough, golden circle, which has an upside down triangle engraved in it. She also has a leather satchal that always nearby. It is plain, for the most part, save for her initials that are stiched onto it near one of the corners.
.
Personality; Ava doesn't have a cold personality, but she can give off an aura of disinterest. That is very far from the truth. She always watching what is going on around her, even when it doesn't look like it. Like most people, Ava isn't that talkative around strangers, but could talk for ages with friends. On the other hand, she could spend hours in silence with a friend and be perfectly happy.
Ava loves to bake, and sells bread and other baked goods in the local market. Her house is a ways away, but with the help of her furry donkey Buford, it isn't that bad of a hike. He tows along her little cart that carries the food anything else she wants to sell, like when her garden has brought up a harvest, or sometimes the purchases she made in town. Buford is a foul tempered donkey, and used to bite anyone who got close. Ava figured that wouldn't be very good in a market, and trained him out of that habit, although he still gets huffy sometimes. Ava is quick to fix that.
Ava is patient and doesn't mind silence. In fact, many times she prefers the silence and quiet. Her mood can change in an instant, going from angry to calm or annoyed to happy in what seems like a split second. She is very honest, and although Ava may not always speak her mind, she will not lie. She can be uncertain and hesitant to make decisions, even in a crisis situation.
.
Magic; Ava has water based magic. It is free flowing, yet has a fast tempo at times that can be overwhelming. As Ava gets older her mastery and abilities will increase, as she will have had more time with her magic.
Still, Ava is one of the four "Leaders of the Elements." That means that her control and abilites are advanced above most other water-witches, and her powers are only limited by her own mind.
She is able to control water in both its liquid and solid state with the upmost precison, and has been attempting to learn how to take the water in the air and atmosphere and turn it isn't its liquid form.
Communication through the water is just scrying, but Ava expanded more on it, and figured out a way to use larger bodies of water to teleport.
Ava is also able to speed up the healing process with water.
Ava's power and exergy expand when in contact with water.
-
Her familiar is, like most witches, a cat. The cat's name is Randall, or Randy for short. She has sandy/light brown colored fur with a slighly paler underbelly, with darker brown stripes. Her ears stick up, and her eyes are the same blue as Ava's, except slightly lighter.
.
Home; Ava does not like clutter. She likes open space with room to breath, and calming lighting. Her house is small, with stone walls supported by dark wood, and a shingled roof. It is one story, with room inside for a fireplace (with enough space to hang a cauldron over it) surrounded by some seating and a bookshelf. Her bathroom is small and simple, with only the necessities, such as a washbin and wooden tub. Ava's bedroom has a bed with dark wooden frames/support, a mirror, and a chest for her clothes. Her kitchen has wooden tables to cook on, and cupboards for dishes and preservable foods. Inside there are lanterns for light, but her stained glass windows depicting the water let in a lot of light on clear days.
Her home isn't decorated a lot, but it is homey. There are plants and small collections dotted around, with tapestries covering the walls.
The outside of her house has a garden in the back, and a well out front to get water from. Her land is fenced in with a stone wall, and inside the wall is a small stable and fenced off area for her donkey.
.
Other; It is rumored that witches exist, but most people shrug off their existance. Whenever a witch does appear, often times they are hunted. Ava keeps her powers on the down low, and hides her powers and eyes when in town.
Ava's mother is a witch with strong air magic, and her father, although not a witch, was a fisherman, and taught Ava how to man a boat, fish, and live on the water when she was younger. Her older brother doesn't have magic, and her younger sister also has air magic like their mom. Her family (save for her brother, who is a few years older than her and left home to find something new (sometimes he sends letters)) is still living by the coast.

Name: Aelia Ianira Artem
~
Age: 19
~
Gender: Female
~
Looks: Aelia sports curly brown hair that reaches a bit beneath her shoulders. It is parted down the middle and is normally allowed to be free of any constricting hairstyles that most princesses wear. When the time arises, she does wear a beautiful tiara that she absolutely adores, and her hair gets done on special occasions as well. Her ears come to a small point that peeks out from her beautiful curls.
Her face is round, her jawline although apparent, is rather curved. Aelia's skin is unblemished save for the light dusting of freckles on her small, narrow nose. Her cheeks are almost always colored a soft pink even without any blush on them. Her eyebrows are flat with no curve and come to a pointed end. Beneath her eyebrows sit big, almond shaped eyes that are a blue so pale that they are almost silver. Her small lips are round and a soft pink in color, a contrast to her pale skin, another thing that marks her as odd as her father is naturally rather tan and her 'mother' is a deep, beautiful mocha color. It couldn't be more obvious that she isn't the daughter of the two.
Aelia stands at 5'4, and isn't very curvy either, though she does have the small waist and wider hips that most princesses would want. She doesn't have much muscle, being a rather sheltered, and well protected, princess.
Something about her seems off, despite her beautiful smile and perfect life. Everything about her seems to be filled with sorrow, her smiles becoming more and more forced by the day. Often times, her large eyes can be found gazing off into the distance, distracted and welling with tears.
~~
Personality: Around others, Aelia is seen as kind and beautiful, she truly puts out the aura of a perfect princess. She can be seen around the towns with her large entourage of guards, who are with her as long as she is around others. Aelia has this air of calm, quiet strength despite her fragile appearance. When confronted by her many haters, she often just pulls back with a pain-filled expression before her guards drag the person away. Due to her oddities (pointed ears, just a tad bit to pale skin) the general human population doesn't like her. It is seen as bad luck to have a child with someone other than a human, and she is obviously the child of one of her father's affairs.
Despite this, Aelia tries to keep her head high and not allow people's words to affect her. Unfortunately, despite all the years of hate, she still cracks underneath all the pressure and as the days go by she becomes sadder and sadder. She no longer sees the life of royalty as a gift, it has become one big chore that she'll have to keep doing for the rest of her life.
To keep herself happy, Aelia has begun to remove herself from the royal life, keeping to inside the palace and only going out to see her beautiful blue roan mare or to visit the many guards who take care of her home so carefully. Aelia spends many hours locked away in the library, reading books upon books about a life that could never be her's.
The only thing that brings her true happiness is her pet rabbit, Lucian. He is a mini rex and is blue. She often brings him with her everywhere she goes. He is leash trained, and is quite the sight for the children at the nearby library whenever Aelia brings him. She also has a basket for him, with a soft blanket on the bottom where he can rest if he gets tired of walking.
Aelia is truly a nice woman, with only the purest intentions and a kind, loving soul. Her father cares for her deeply despite her oddities and he protects her from the Queen's constant teases and the whole kingdom's judgment. That being said, Aelia knows exactly why everyone hates her, and doesn't blame them for it. She can only hope to eventually be loved by her people as much as she loves them.
~
Other: Aelia's mother was a peasant, and was said to probably be the prettiest woman in the land if it wasn't for her obvious green skin. Willow, Aelia's mother, was a dryad. Her tree being a willow near her house. Aelia's connection to nature comes from her mother's blood, as does her pointed ears, pale skin and unnaturally large eyes. Willow fell in love with the king as soon as he'd laid his eyes on her. Eventually, he kept returning to her home, and the two fell deep into a hidden affair. For the king did not love his queen, as she was mean and visciously cruel. The dryad was a change of pace, and after a two year long affair, Willow had given birth to Aelia, naming her after the sun which kept Willow's tree alive. Two weeks after Aelia was borne, a forest fire raged and killed Willow's tree, killing Willow in turn.
After being found by the king all alone, wailing her pretty little head off, Aelia was taken home to the palace. Where she was crowned the princess and was to inherit the throne despite the obvious problems with her being a bastard child. The queen was angry, but she had no say in the matter and had to take Aelia under her wing.
People still believe that the fire was set just for the purpose of killing Willow, and in turn, Aelia as well.

Today was market day for Ava Weaver. Twice a week - Wednesday and Saturday - Ava made the journey from her simple cottage home to the marketplace, which was located within sight of the Palace.
Not that it mattered much. The Royal Family hardly ever seemed to leave the walls of their large estate, and if they did, it surely wasn't to go to the market. The only person who ever seemed to leave was the Crown Princess, but very little was known about her - save for the fact that she was a halfbood human. That, apparently, was enough to make the kingdom hate her. Rather, the human portion of the kingdom.
For the outcasts and not human citizens, she was a possible blessing. Like in any group, though, there were skeptics. Ava was one of them. A person's heritage did not automatically make them favor both sides of their life. If anything, Ava figured, she might resent the non-human side of her, as it has
brought her nothing but pain.
Either way, it didn't affect Ava that much. Well, it might when the Princess became the ruler of the kingdom, but that appeared to be far away.
-
Ava shook her head slightly, clearing the cluttered thoughts in her head. She always dove too deep into things. "You make everything your business," her mother would always say, but she'd in an affectionate way, with a hidden smile.
She finished tying a dark gray bandanna around her head, keeping her wispy white hair out of her face.
Already dressed and ready, Ava whistled for her cat - Randall - who came bounding over, and jumped up into Ava's arms when prompted. With one movement she moved the cat to her shoulder, where after a moment, Randy found her balance, and used it as a springboard to jump onto the low hanging roof as they left the cottage.
Ava paid her cat no heed, and got her donkey - Buford - from his pasture, and hitched him up to the cart she already had already loaded with bread, strawberry jam, and fresh picked strawberries. Living on her own had caused Ava to learn how to have a green thumb - both to feed herself, and to sell for money.
Randy jumped down from the roof and sprung up into the cart as they started to move.
"I knew you'd be coming," Ava murmured quietly, stroking her familiar's head, then giving a light tug on Buford's halter. Soon, the trio were on their way to the marketplace.

Aelia wandered the palace halls as she waited impatiently for breakfast to begin. As usual, her presence was required that morning, it wasn't like anyone wanted her to be there, other than her father of course. Her younger brother, Ainar, enjoyed her company as well, but he was much to wrapped up in court affairs to talk too much to Aelia.
So as usual, the crown princess was left to do whatever she liked until she actually had duties to attend to. Aelia had finally settled in one of the many nooks of the palace, in a bay window with a comfortable pillow.
She sat there, as the market came to life as the sun rose higher and higher into the colorful sky. Oh how she longed to walk amongst the people, to say goodmorning with an easygoing smile. Aelia wanted nothing more than to be normal. An odd wish for a girl that was living the thing tales were written about. She wondered if the princesses in those tales were just as tired of the royal life as she was.
Finally, Aelia made her appearance at the breakfast, a few aristocrats glared at her pointed ears and pale skin, but most just smiled in greeting. No one wanted to get kicked out because they'd insulted the crown princess. Besides, some of the people in the hall were the parents of Aelia's potential... sutors. The word made bile bubble at the back of her throat, to think that she'd be forced to marry some insolent brat one day. Someone who would never actually love her because of her nymph blood. Aelia didn't even want to think about it, lest she grow sad again.
She was sad more and more these days, though she didn't know if it was from the lack of friends or just a hormonal imbalance. Whatever the case, Aelia knew that she would soon abandon all reason and sob in front of other people if the problem wasn't solved soon.

One brisk walk later, and the marketplace came into view. Randy had scampered off a few times to hunt, but she always came back. The cat would always come back, and she and Ava were soul-bound. Buford was not included in that deal, and tried to bite Ava when she stopped him from grazing. The foul-tempered donkey had the decency to look ashamed when Ava turned on him with a glare.
The market was already alive and bustling when Ava arrived. She brought her cart up to the area where other carts set up. Many people did not have a permanent residence in the town, and therefor did not have a stall. There were awnings set up, though, and Ava was early enough to be able to snag one. She unhitched Buford and tied his lead rope to the back of the cart, where he would not be able to bite people that might buy something. Ava had packed some hay in a bag for the donkey, and set some out to keep him busy.

Breakfast had been oddly tense, although most things were when Aelia was present. Her father was rather quiet, and after Aelia's normal requirements were met, she was quickly dismissed to do whatever she wanted. This pleased the princess, as she had her mind set on a task today, the task being to go out in secret, without anyone knowing she was the princess.
Granted, it was a very dangerous, very stupid, thing to do, but she wanted to go out. Without her snooping guards, who were always watching her every step. She understood where they were coming from of course, as there had been multiple attempts on her life in the past few years, but still. Aelia just wanted to be normal for one day, before she took the title of Queen and was bethrothed to some man who didn't even like her. A man that could never love her.
Aelia forced herself away from the overwhelmingly harsh train of thoughts she was on. The next month or two, she would be a free woman, able todo whatever she pleased and not have anyone to answer to when she returned home. She decided that for now she would focus on the positive, that being her grand plan for the day. A small smile appeared as she opened the door to her large room. Lucian hopping about as he normally did.
Her bunny was allowed to wander her room, he had a whole corner of the room as an area to himself, as it held his food, water, litterbox, and bed, while the rest of the room was also free roam. Lucian was a perfect bunny, and was happy to be living with Aelia from what she could tell with her very limited ability to understand what he was saying.
Her brow furrowed, her mother had cursed her with her appearance and yet didn't even gift the power to be entirely one with nature. Aelia was the result of two different worlds that completely clashed. She wished her curse upon no one, as no one deserved the pain of being so closely drawn to nature but not being able to embrace it fully as a real nymph could.
Another dark train of thoughts, Aelia shook her head, clearing her mind from the sticky darkness that so often took over her thoughts. At first it had been random spouts of sadness that left just as quickly as they came, but as she grew older, the darkness remained for longer and longer, and it became harder to pull it off her brain. Aelia assumed it had something to do with not being able to be herself, to be one with nature. She didn't know and was in no place to find out.
Aelia was brought back when Lucian gently hopped onto her foot. She gave the small rabbit a half hearted grin before he hopped off and set her off to her task. It wasn't uncommon for Aelia to disappear into her room for hours upon hours, so she wouldn't be bothered by anyone until dinner. She quickly gathered the clothes that one of her maids had given her, the girl being an elf who was grateful for Aelia's kind words unlike the rest of the human household.
Sam was her name, and she was the only person who knew of Aelia's plan. And she had vowed to help Aelia as much as she could. Hence the clothes, that were much different in comparison to Aelia's fancy satin or brightly colored heavy wool. It was a simple cream colored chemise under a long grey dress. She would hopefully blend right in with the rest of the crowd in the market, as that was the first place she planned on going.
Lucian stared hopefully at his basket, as he often went with Aelia on her adventures, and knew the routine well. After a silent argument with herself Aelia decided that it wouldn't hurt to bring Lucian along. She scooped him into the basket, making sure the soft cloth was still on the bottom, before quickly exiting her room and heading downstairs using the maid's staircase. Soon, after much sneaking about, she made it outside. A broad smile on her face as she skipped towards the market.

Ava set out her strawberries, jam, and bread. Although the townsfolk found her appearance odd, they didn't realize she was a witch, and allowed her to be there. Even if they did suspect it, no one said a word. This was possibly because Ava sold the best bread in the marketplace. It was always fresh and made from home grown ingredients. Her fresh fruits were also a hit, although they weren't the only ones in town.
Her bread stood out, though, so Ava often had a person stop by her cart, give Randy a little pat, and let their coin purse become a little lighter, and Ava's a little heavier. The customers would often by jam, too, since they were there.
This resulted in Ava not to be hurting for money, although she certainly wasn't wealthy. She had enough to buy meat at the marketplace, some foods she couldn't make, and clothes when they were needed, or replacement parts for her wagon when it broke.
Being able to live this sort of life made it worth it to Ava to risk being found out as a witch. For the most part, she kept her hood up and eyes down, and no one asked any questions.

Aelia kept her good up, the cloak was a light one, perfect for the biting wind that had appeared that day. It also allowed her to hide most of her pale skin and pointed ears. Though her large eyes were not as easily hidden, she hoped that others wouldn't find them as odd as most higher born's did. It was a lot of work to not do up her hair elaborately or put on makeup as she normally did on any day of the week. Although she didn't particularly like her life, she did like looking her best, it was the one things she could control.
Unfortunately, her normal appearance would completely expose her as the princess, and staying undercover was her main priority. Her coin purse was filled and was safely tucked away in Lucian's basket, he could alert her if anyone tried to steal from them. It was a great relief to have a familiar being near, despite the fact that many gave Aelia small, neutral greetings, she was still rather nervous. She was sure it showed on her face.
The market was bustling with energy, the crowd spoke loudly and cheerful laughs cracked the air. It was nothing like the reserved court life Aelia was used to. She thought that it was much less tense than any of that. Aelia felt almost accepted in this place, unlike the normal glares and whispers, she was even smiled at a few times! It was positively delightful.
She was quietly checking out stalls when Lucian's sudden alarm went through her mind. Aelia turned to see someone reaching into her basket, but Lucian stood on her purse. The thief, feeling her gaze looked up and made one last attempt to steal the purse. Lucian kicked out and scratched him. The man backed off but the startled bunny was still frightened, and hopped out of the basket and ran around the market place. "Lucian!" Aelia cried out as her bunny ran away, her close on his tail.

A large dog, while a gentle pet at most times, still was a predator animal. When he spotted the easy meal racing through the town, he scrambled to his paws and raced after it. His meal started to run even faster, and he barreled into a few people on his hunt.
-
Randy rocketed to her feet and hissed, causing Ava to look in the direction of her cat's wide eyes. A poor rabbit was scampering under people's feet, trying to escape from a dog who probably had all the meals he wanted. Quick as lightning, she stepped into the street and scooped up the little guy, who obviously was well-loved and well taken care of, "Easy, little buddy." While holding the bunny up high, Ava used her other hand to shoo away the dog, who, now that the chase was over, heard his master's calls for him to come home.
"Don't worry. You are safe now," She told him, feeling his racing heart beneath her fingers.
