Aldwin regained all of his composure and confidence in a snap. He had messed up and it wouldn't happen again. He shouldn't show his emotions so freely, it was wrong of him and probably made Gwendolyn uncomfortable. "The bathroom is in there." He pointed towards another door, blue eyes drifting to the door then back to Gwendolyn. "I will call up the maids for a bath." |

Gwendolyn followed Aldwin's finger to the door, and nodded, "Thank you, my lord," She went to the door and opened it a hair, "Yes. I forgot you do not have Roman baths." It was a normality at home, but she could live without that luxury just fine. |

Aldwin looked at Gwendolyn with confusion for a moment before finally realizing what she spoke of. "Oh, I'm sorry. We don't do that here, I have only heard of the wonder that is Roman baths. They sound much more delightful than our own tubs." |

"Indeed, although, I will take anything currently," Gwendolyn laughed, restrained and ladylike. It made her want to gag, but her smile didn't waver.

After the bath, Gwendolyn felt fresh and clean. As she had to go to a dinner, Gwendolyn chose to wear a fancy, forest green gown. Many people have told Gwendolyn that blue brings out her eyes, and goes well with her fair skin and hair, but she didn't have anything fancy in that color. Gwendolyn wanted to make the best impression she could on these strangers. |

Aldwin did his best to calm his wild hair though it hardly worked at all. He eventually gave up and got dressed in his nicer clothes. Not the nicest he had, as there weren't many people tonight, but still, he looked rather good. The blue of his eyes popping against his darker blue apparel. |

A courtier knocked on her door soon after Gwendolyn finished braiding her hair and got dressed. They announced themselves as Lord Venard of Castow, a rich area. They were an advisor to the king, and were tasked with bribing Gwendolyn to the dinner hall. He offered his arm, and the two walked down together, Vanard making pleasant talk by asking about her trip and such. |

Aldwin was one of the first people to be there, smiling at his guests. His greetings all warm and nice. He was good with people, or at least business. In his whole life he hadn't ever had a real friend, as he'd never had the time to have one or the skill set. Sure he was close to a few people, but friends weren't existent in Aldwin's stressful life. |

Once they arrived at the dining hall, Venard released Gwendolyn and wished her a pleasant night. She was to sit at the kings left hand, while his closest advisor would sit to his right. It would be strange to sit so close to the head. Gwendolyn didn't know if she should sit, or wait, so she ended up standing in the small crowd. |
