Mercy smiled mischeviously at her sister, pretending to be offended. "Me? I would never! Especially not against my sister" She said, resisting laughter as she thought of the numerous pranks she had pulled in the past. She returned to the present at her sisters seriousness, another person she had to crane her head to look in the eye. Oh the woes of her stature.
"What else can you expect when you leave so early? Even the warmest summer days have cold mornings." Mercy said lightly, but anyone who knew her it was a deliberate probe for information, and one that she would admit freely. However she was once again hit by the difference and similiarities between her and her sister. She could see how drained her sister was. They both chose to deal with it differently.
She also smiled slightly at both of their comparisons of toddlers in such a close time period without even being in the same room. She chuckled slightly, shaking her head. "Rhea even one more layer would ruin the whole outfit, plus, I have always been fond of cold anyway" Mercy said, picking at her nails. Mercy watched her sister attempting to warm her hands and wrist and took her sister's hands, folding them in her own like a ball before breathing into the insides of their balled hands. Like their father used to do when they were little.
With a few, sufficient warm breathes, she looked between Ky and her sister. "However you did miss a truly thrilling conversation" She said with a hint of sarcasm. "Of me challenging dear Ky here and him thinking I fought with any sort of honor." Mercy informed, she had always paid attention to lessons on strategy and technique and battle, and zoned out when they started talking about honor.
"Oh!' Mercy exclaimed suddenly, also what time was that meeting today?"

Belv woke up to the just wonder feeling of small feet pounding into his gut. He groaned. "Felicity! Its to early!" He groaned out, earning giggles from the monstrous child. "Get up get up! I need help with my hair! And my clothes! Oh father how beautiful that new gown is!" She squeeled excitedly, referring to the brand new dress she had gotten yesterday for the meeting.
It was her first true meeting with royals as heir of Verik, something that at her age she normally would never attend, but with the promise of good behavior and adult thinking, was allowed to come, the kid was excited.
"Couldn't you of waited even another 10 minutes" Belv complained. "Nope! you decided to keep me, this is your fault" She said matter of factly. Belv groaned again and started to move from bed. "Fine, let me get myself ready first, before I spend so much time on you" He told her, and she danced out of the room happily. Belv dancing in simple but beautifully made black boots, and pants that clung to his well formed and muscled legs. His shirt and jacket doing more of the same to his upper body. His Jacket was decorated in gold sworls and symbols and accents. It was something of a family heirloom, for luck.
Finally he tied his gorgeous white hair in a low, serious ponytail, but stray pieces still left him with a sort of wild, untamed ruggedness. He went to attent to his daughter.
He found her in a jumble of the zippers and buttons that was her dress and burst out laughing.
"My dear little pheonix, people would call you many things, but a lady would never be one" He teased between laughter. starting to help her untangle and put it on correctly. It was an adorable modest dress perfect for her age. A simple lapis blue bodice with a u shaped neckline with sheer but dense sleeves that faded into silvery white and flared on the wrist. Little pearls heavily decorated her waist and became sparse at her shoulders, only to thicken again along her sleeves.
The skirt itself flared out slightly but didnt have any structure to keep it like that. It was light and flowy and faded from the lapis blue of the bodice to a dark night sky at the hemps. There were perhapbs about 3 layers of ruffled, light material, decorated in silver and black patterns that were suspiciously like waves in a dark ocean, and mor pearls. She slipped on black slippers and Belv clipped a little silver necklace around her neck before getting to work on her wild red curls.
Belv pinned up the top layers, starting from the bottom. He began the very long process. Brushing it all out, and then braiding many small brainds that curved and swayed like a waterfal. layer after layer. The very top 2 layers he braided into a crown around twisted metal halo that mimicked branched, making sure to leave enough padding to stop the metal from digging into Felicities scalp. Belv than began the meticulous process of adding different collord leaf clips to the little braids in the back of her head.
Okay, maybe it was a bit much for a council meeting but she had insisted on it, she wanted to make a good impression. Belv watched his daughters face light up when she looked in the mirror, smiling at her adoringly. "Well little pheonix, its time for breakfast"
She squeeled in delight.
