General Farris The general sat behind the one way glass, observing the subjects as they were guided into the waiting room. Various expressions of anger, confusion and fear were held on their faces as they each made their way in. He studied them, curiously, scratching his chin. He leaned up to the glass, observing them all individually and making mental notes to himself of their general appearance. Benjamin Linn-Chris Ben cautiously followed the directions of the agents who loudly directed the children to a room on the left. He slowly peeked his head into the room and entered the waiting area warily. He took a seat in the center of the line of chairs up against the back wall, and stared at the giant sheet of glass in front of him, which he couldn't see through, but reflected a distorted reflection of him, sitting awkwardly in his chair. He took a deep breath and then sighed. Awaiting further action.

Nicholas Layton Nicholas's entry into the room was a much more chaotic one, with one of the more burly agents dragging him along by the arm, struggling the whole way. He had given up yelling at the top of his lungs by now, as clearly no one was going to help him out of this. Despite this clearly being a kidnapping situation, with him being detained against his will, and without doing anything wrong. Without so much as a word the man launched the skinny, struggling boy into the first chair in the row, and turned towards the door. Nicholas jumped back to his feet, but by the time he was ready to run out the door after him, the man was gone. Holding onto his last shreds of dignity, he took a deep breath, spun almost theatrically on his heels, and took a seat the chair he had been so rudely thrown into. Like a caged animal who had suddenly been released into a moderately sized enclosure, as soon as the man left the room Nicholas relaxed a bit. He sat up stiffly, brushing the dirt off his clothes, and took a moment to soak up the room around him. An opaque glass wall - it may be a one-way mirror. A uniform line of chairs, one of which he was currently occupying. All normal things. His surveyal stopped briefly on the only other boy in the room, sporting colorfully dyed hair and an awkward, expectant expression. Likely nothing to worry about, the boy looked as lost as he felt. But Nicholas would be sure to keep an eye on him in the future. Well I suppose there is nothing to do now but wait. He crossed his arms and sat back, continuing to watch the room tensely for changes - or new arrivals. He was interested to find out exactly why he had been dragged here against his will. Ebony Ebony looked around at the other people around her. She felt small compared to all of them. She started to shake, her social anxiety starting to bother her as she had no one to talk to and there were too many people around her. She was right to be scared, she was just taken. She went in the room that her and the other kids were forced in and she wnet and sat against the wall, knees pulled upto her chest and arms around them. She tried to steady her breathing, heart demanding to be let out her chest. She watched the other people walk in and sit on the chairs. She didn't go over to them or go to sit on a chair. She bit her lip, nervously glancing at everybody around her. She felt blood starting to drip down her lip from biting it so hard. She noticed one guy in particular sitting on a chair. She could tell he was perceptive, watching everyone walking in and seeming to evaluate. She was so small she almost blended into the wall's shadows where she was sitting against. She wanted to go over there and introduce herself, or ask if he knew anything about what was happening, but was frozen in fear. Her hands started to shake and she knew that was bad. That was the begining sign of her PTSD acting up. She tried to breathe, but nothing helps her shaking hands and she just closed her eyes and bit her lip.

Fox Harley Fox followed the voices slowly, looking in every direction at his surroundings. There wasn't much to see, just a bunch of blank walls, the occasional door, and a bunch of people yelling at him which way to go and to 'hurry up.' Of course, every time someone yelled at him to go faster he'd simply slow down until finally one grabbed his arm and lurched him into a room. "Hey, no need to be so-!" He started to yell after the agent only to get the door slammed in his face. He growled slightly and spun around, taking in the room. There were chairs on the sides, a large mirror, and three other kids. The one with the blue hair looked relatively calm, the girl looked nervous, and the skinny one seemed incredibly agitated. "Well, this is the strangest doctors waiting room I've ever been in." He muttered to himself. He walked up to the glass, which didn't seem like a very good mirror, he could barely see himself in it. He began making stupid faces in the reflection and tapping on it. He shrugged and sat down in the nearest chair, rapping his fingernails on the arm rest. Nicholas Layton Nicholas relaxed gradually over time, now that he wasn't being dragged through the halls like a sack of potatoes. Though he remained wary of the ever-increasing number of people in the room, none of them seemed keen on disturbing him. A small, nervous-looking girl sat in the corner, who seemed to be suffering some sort of mental breakdown. Nicholas was not particularly inclined to help her, nor would he know how. A rather dense-looking boy entered the room shortly after, who mumbled something about a doctor's office as he walked in. Nicholas watched him make faces in the opaque glass, one eyebrow raised with a look of moderate distaste. It must not be an "intelligence" operation if this was what made it in. Despite himself, he felt a little disappointed at this realization. He was starting to think he was merely an unlucky victim of random selection. What unifying factor could this group possibly have? The list of questions continued growing in his mind. If he was randomly selected, why drag him here in the first place? What did that stupid acronym they were always using stand for, anyway? C.O.D.E? Whoever came up with that probably thought they were sooo clever. You see, the original CODE agent who had shown up at Nicholas's house hadn't gotten much of a chance to explain himself to the suspicious boy, as he had started peppering him with testy remarks and questions the moment he had introduced himself as a government associate. Whatever information the man had gotten out went in one ear and out the other. Nicholas turned away from the boy as he sat down and stared towards the blank wall opposite the door, crossing one leg over the other and resting his chin on his hand. His mind was racing, though he looked to be calmer on the surface. What on earth would become of them?

Ebony Ebony couldn't bear to sit against the wall anymore. She was terrified of being alone to the point where she just needed to be close to someone. She could feel her PTSD starting to act up and her hands shook worse. Not again, please not again. Not here... She told herself, but it didn't help. She watched as another person walked in and looked around. Everyone seemed confused like she was to why they were in there. She kept biting her lip and she took a few deep breathes. She went over and sat down next to one of the guys, the new one that had just came in. The perceptive guy and the new guy were one space apart. She filled the gap between them. She wanted to just be around other people who looked like that could protect her possibly, or were at least bigger than her and that gave her a strange sence of comfort in this horrifying situation. She shakily pulled out a keychain out of her pocket, the key gingeling on the ring as she held it in her violently shaking hands. She sniffed, trying to hold back tears as she could barely breathe. She just looked down at the keychain in her shaking hands. She didn't look at the people around her, just tried to to calm escalating emotions.

Benjamin Linn-Chris As more unfortunate subjects entered the room, Ben felt his arm begin to shake. NO! No, we are NOT freaking out right now! He jumped up to his feet, feelin rather lightheaded from the sudden movement, and made his way around the room. He eyed the other children, searching for who he should approach first. He gave up and decided to propose a conversion to the room, in hopes someone would catch on and talk to him. He took a quiet breath and said in a slightly raised voice, "Um, hi...uh.. anyone know what we're doing here? Or where... here even is?" He asked, sitting back in his chair and lookin over at the other people. Edited at April 1, 2021 12:49 AM by Zamakura

As Benjamin begins to talk, and really before anyone can say anything in response, the door opens again, and a guard walks a very confused, but not particularly scared, girl into the room. Alice, still dressed for a funeral and clutching her stuffed cat, looks around at the other kids as the door closes behind her. Reading the mood, she hesitantly walks over to the group and sits down next to Ebony. "Hi... Did they tell you guys anything yet...?" Her voice is soft and shy. She's clearly a little bit anxious.

Fox Harley Fox leaned back in his chair and began stomping his feet lightly on the ground when the door opened again, and an anxious girl who looked like she had just come from a funeral walked in. She sat down near him and the kid who looked like she was about to have a panic attack. He wanted to say something to the girl clutching the keychain, but he wasn't very good at consoling. "Nah, they just told us to wait in this creepy empty room for god knows what." He answered, glancing at the ominous mirror, the only real decoration this place had.
