The event currently going on is the Stargazer, the alpha of the pack, has just called a pack meeting to discuss the murder of the previous Panshea, and all the wolves are gathering to listen to her.
Running Dawn
Running Dawn lay silently in his den, dozing silently as the sun began to rise to the top of the sky. It was noon when Running Dawn lifted his head, and soon the rest of his body. He yawned loudly, before stretching his entire body out across his den. The pack was a mess outside, and he and Waning Moon were the only two in the nest.
"About time, Running Dawn!" Waning Moon chuckled light-heartidly. Running Dawn responded with a laugh.
"Yeah, yeah I know! Listen, it was a long night Waning Moon, the stars are very interesting," he said calmly. He perked his ears as a howl erupted from the center of the camp. It was the Stargazer, calling the pack out. Running Dawn obeyed the call and left the privacy of his den to enter the clearing.
Waning Moon Waning Moon sat in the corner of the den, silently staring at Running Dawn. She smirked, and moved her deep gaze to outside the den. It was chaotic outside, wolves were panicked. And rightfully so. As her tail swayed around her legs, she returned her stare to Running Dawn as he lifted himself above his next.
"About time Running Dawn!" She chuckled. Running Dawn turned to her and laughed quietly.
"Yeah, yeah I know! Listen, it was a long night Waning Moon, the stars are very interesting," he responded. She smiled softly and perked her ears as a howl erupted from the center of the camp. She knew what it was. In fact, she probably knew what it was about. She silently stood up and left the den into the clearing. |

Raven Shadow Raven Shadow sat,her tail curled around her as she gazed up at the sky.Raven Shadow looked at one wolf as they ran by"what's going on?"she meekly asked but didn't get an anwer,Raven Shadow had been out in the forest watching the stars and had fallen asleep there,she had just gotten back and sat down.Raven Shadow looked nervously towards the Stargazer as the she howled.Raven Shadow stood and walked into the center of the clearing then sat down |

Crooked Teak If Crooked Teak was ever far from Stargazer, he always had his ears perked for signs of danger and an unrelenting itch to get back to her as soon as possible. He rarely went out, and then even more rarely alone, so he was very close when Stargazer let out a mighty howl to call the pack together. His ears perked up and he jerked forward with an over-eager desire to be one of the first there which nearly unbalanced him. Agility had never been his strong suit to begin with. Crooked Teak strode forward like he way powering his way through a raging blizzard, getting past Running Dawn and Waning Moon without a sideways glance at them. He did, however, check to make sure that Burning Flame and Hawk's Nest were there. He trusted them to be the most loyal and thus the quickest to be at Stargazer's side. Raven Shadow was already there, but Crooked Teak showed no signs of irritation except for a slightly twitch of the ear. He didn't seat himself, but rather took his usual place, stand proud and erect and looking over his packmates as if judging each for how long they took to arrive. |

Running Dawn As he and Waning Moon took their seats in front of the rock that Stargazer stood proud on. The entire camp was on edge, the air feeling almost... thick. Something was obviously wrong. His ears perked silently as he became aware of the Stargazer's sense of urgency.
"I wonder if she's finally going to demote that fool of a beta and put you in your much-earned position," Waning Moon said crossly, glaring at Crooked Teak. A deep growl held itself in Running Dawn's chest.
"Don't talk about Crooked Teak like that. He's a good beta, he earned his position," Running Dawn stated, with a harsh tone to his voice. Waning Moon moved his glare from Crooked Teak to Running Dawn.
"Really? The fool can't even protect the nursery from a bear attack," Waning Moon snarled quietly.
"That was a mistake and you know it. We can't control those... beasts! Don't blame him for that."
"Hmph."
Waning Moon Waning Moon seated herself elegantly next to Running Dawn and glared up at Crooked Teak. The tip of her tail flicked as they seated themselves. Stargazer Stargazer let out a yawn, it had been a long night. She stretched before going outside. She walked over to the small rock in the middle of the camp clearing before climbing on top of it. Letting out summoning howl, she called for her pack. The howl was to call the pack together. She wanted to discuss the murder of the previous Panshea and pick a new one of course. They would need one and she thought that maybe the original apprentince was ready. Now the Panshea would need to pick an apprentince.
But first things first, the pack needed to get here so that the rest of the pack could learn and discuss. She shook her head, seeing Raven Shadow sit down close by. Waning Moon and Running Dawn were heading her way with Crooked Teak taking his place next to her. Burning Flame and Night Hawk had come out and were now sitting close by. Well, Burning Flame was sitting close by. Night Hawk was at the edge of the clearing watching. She twitched an ear his way, acknowledging that he was there.
Night Hawk & Burning Flame Night Hawk woke up to the howl and immediately got up. Flame was already ahead of him, trotting into the clearing. He watched for a moment before padding to one side. He was close enough to hear Stargazers words but far enough from the crowd. He sat down, looking at Stargazer interestedly as the rest of the wolves took their places. Burning Flame had woken up to the sound of the howl and was instantly on her feet in a fast trot to the clearing. She quickly took her place close to Stargazer as she saw a few others arrive. Night Hawk had made his way to his normal spot as did Crooked Teak who was standing proud. Running Dawn and Waning Moon were whispering to each other close by. Burning Flame knew what this meeting had to be about as she couldn't see the Panshea anwhere nearby. |

Silent water
Silent water slowly trudged out of his den over to the group. He had heard the howl, and intended to heed it; As he passed, a younger, timid wolf muttered to him inaudibly, but by the time she had spoken Silent had already left, joining the circle in the clearing.
"Hmph!" Silent heard as he came into their line of sight, he settled down beside the others, wondering what conversations were passed around while he was absent. "What did I miss?" he asked to nobody in particular, looking around at the others.
He knew the basic idea though; the brisk howl had been the Stargazer's, of course, and a couple roles had opened up that needed to be filled.

Running Dawn "He seems in a bad mood. What's got his feathers ruffled?" Running Dawn whispered to Waning Moon. Waning Moon ignored him, and the conversation very quickly came to an end. Running Dawn sighed, and look up to Stargazer with bright eyes. |

Crooked Teak If Crooked Teak could hear what Running Dawn and Waning Moon were saying about him, he give no sign but to growl at them irritably, "Shush, Stargazer's going to speak!" He glared at them, letting his angry eyes linger on Waning Moon a moment longer to let her know she was in more trouble than Running Water, and then he turned his gaze to Stargazer. He looked at her as pup might look at their idol, but he had a certain rigidity to his posture and a trace of a snarl still on his snout. He glanced at Burning Flame as she trotted over sharply, inclining his head ever so slightly to acknowledge his appreciation of her punctuality. Seeing Silent Water, Crooked Teak flattened his ears slightly. He had never liked Silent Water, and the slow and steady with which Silent Water approached Stargazer's urgent howl infuriated Crooked Teak. Silent Water's following question got no response from Crooked Teak, who had already turned his attention back to Stargazer. Crooked Teak was a rather heavy-set wolf, but all the same he always seemed ready to leap in and defend Stargazer at any moment. Which, after all, was all that could be expected of a beta, and even more so of a wolf with so much to prove to the entire pack. |

Stargazer Stargazer looked around at the surrounding wolves, making sure they were quiet before beginning. "As most of you know, our Panshea was murdered last night and found in her den. I have called you here so that we may figure out what to do next. Of course, our Panshea will be picked but first I would like your reasonable opinions of how we should protect the pack." She included reasonable as she knew that a few would like to point paws at others and that was not what she was aiming for. |

Running Dawn Running Dawn's eyes widened with shock.
"What?! The pack isn't a pack without the Panshea! Without her how will the Moon Chaser commune with us?" He exclaimed. A few more wolves also starting shouting out various things.
Waning Moon Waning Moon smirked silently in her head. She believed that the Panshea was not worthy of her position, and felt it was justified. She was horrified by the fact she was killed in her own den, however. Wheres the honor in that?
