Kage Ninomae I Werewolf Hybrid I Second Year I Phoenix Wing I Mentions: Juniper and Castor (In the last paragraph, she barges into their dorm room)
Kage’s nervous eyes darted around the large hall full of students. Immediately looking back down at the table as she met one person’s gaze. She felt Folla shifting and turning in her lap, pushing her head up so it was poking above the table. Kage sighed, running her fingers down the exceptionally long, yet thin body of her tiny pet. Folla made a happy noise, almost inaudible, but was heard by Kage. She noticed every student start to sit and quiet down. She had not heard the headmaster start speaking. She listened to the speech yet retained none of the words. They seemed to go in and swirl around her head before leaving as soon as they had come. She felt her hands shaking again as she tried to steady her uneven short breaths. She let Folla come to her usual position on her. Climbing up her arm and onto her shoulders, wrapping around her neck so that her head poked out on the left side, and tail on the right. She looked like a scarf to anyone who would just glance. Kage felt a sense of comfort by Folla curling up on her neck. From a wolf’s point of view that was an expression of love and safety. It protected her most vulnerable point, her jugular. She scratched the tiny kirin’s head. She felt vibrations going around her neck, mimicking a cat’s purring. She didn’t even realize that the headmaster had released the older students. She waited for a few moments, afraid of all the students getting up at once, but afraid to be left behind with the younger students. She forced herself to stand, legs feeling like jelly. She stumbled away from the table, accidentally bumping into another student. She quickly darted away, trying to duck underneath people and around them to just try and find a safe space. She practically ran through the hallways, trying to desperately remember where her dorms were from last year. She stumbled through the crowd of people, barely aware of what was going on in her panic. She needed her peace and quiet, the incident in the great hall earlier had sent her into a panic attack. All the people around her just fed her panic, her heart starting to race faster and faster every moment that passed. She spotted a hallway to the dorms. It looked vaguely familiar in the back of her mind, so she rushed to the entrance. She did not bother to look at the signs on the door- which did not say Phoenix Wing, but Dragon Wing- as she tore through the passageway to the dorm. She burst through a door, not even caring if it was the right dorm for her. She assumed because it was shut that no one was in it. She slammed the door behind her, not even taking in the two guys in the room or the fiery red walls. She just closed her eyes tight as she leaned against the door and slid down. She just put her head on her kneecaps, wrapping her arms around her legs. She didn’t cry, just sat there and tried to just breathe and come out of her panic attack. She felt Folla moving from around her neck and onto her knees, snuggling and rubbing against her cheek gently. Kage took a shaky breath in.

Adrienne Maxine Kingston | Shapeshifter | Second Year | Dragon Wing | Mentions: OPEN Adrienne listened to the Headmaster's speech, rolling her eyes every time she listened to an overexcited first-year student squeal when they were told what their wing would be. "We listened to this last year, let's go find my room, Zaddy," Adrienne stood up and gave a quiet whistle, the Doberman Pinscher trotting to her side. She took the long route to her wing, the Dragon Wing. Adrienne was thrilled that she did not have a roommate this year as she made her way to Room 3, which was obviously her room. She opened the door and Zaddy immediately ran in and jumped onto her bed, causing Adrienne to laugh, "You do realize that you have your own bed, right?" She made sure all of her clothes and such were in order before changing into a pair of ripped jeans, black Vans and a grey Champion crewneck. "You get to stay here, I'm going to try and make friends this year," Adrienne walked out of her room and put her hands in her pockets, wandering the halls a bit aimlessly. [I'm sorry it's so short. Google Docs deleted this post twice and I was going crazy and needed to get Adrienne something.]

Castor Daniels | Wisened | Dragon | Antion | M: Kage, Juniper Castor looked up as a man walked into the room. He took in the opal tinted hair, warm tan skin, and swirling tattoos. It was strange, this man didn't look like a full fairy. Castor wasn't sure what said that about him, but he was pretty sure this man was a Half-breed. The thought caught Castor off guard. He knew that his grandparents discriminated against them, but his parents seemed alright with them, and he had never come up with any reason to disciminate against them. He assumed it to be Juniper. Juniper was about average in height, perhaps slightly shorter than average, but not noticeably. That meant that Castor was taller by a good amount. He looked capable, though. His expression might have been somewhat wary, but he looked strong. It was kind of second nature for Castor to evaluate any new people he met, as his family was sure to teach him to know any possible enemies, even his friends. It was, perhaps, a simple part of the werewolf culture. "I'm Castor," he said with a smile, then jokingly added, "But, wait, you already knew that from the pamphlet," in the same rambling tone that Juniper had taken. A hissing came from Juniper's jacket, and Castor cast a curious glance towards it as Rodent hopped off the dresser, climbing onto his shoulder and hissing in return. "Oo, a spitfire wyvern," he marveled, "I've never seen one in person. They're pretty cool little creatures." He looked at his shoulder, "I don't think Rodent agrees, though," he added with a small chuckle at his rat's angry expression and fluffed fur. Rodent would have a difficult time putting up with this new roommate, which would probably be eating him in the wild. "Anyway, I got an invite from another Wisened to go to the springs this afternoon. You wanna come? I also believe I've seen you with Winston, right? You could invite him!" He said all this with a smile and a bright tone. Then, a woman burst into the room. A sapling, based off the color of her badge, and a Pheonix at that. What was she doing in this wing? "Hey, are you lost?" he asked as she collapsed against the wall, looking about two moments away from a meltdown. He approached her carefully, wary of the kirin that he knew full well might be a bit protective. He crouched and reached out to touch her shoulder. It would only be her second year, so maybe she was still stressed out due to her being a newer student, and hadn't quite gotten the hang of things? He wasn't sure why she was so upset, but asked, "Do you need help with something?"

Juniper Grenleff | 22 | Demi-Boy | Half-Breed | Knowledgeable | Dragon | M: Castor (Dir), Kage (Dir), + Winston (Ind) Who does this guy think he is? I gave him clear signs I didn’t want to talk to him dammit!! Being a werewolf, a snarky guy, and a Wise, he instantly wasn’t a fan of this guy for many reasons. For one, werewolves are cocky and nosy as fuck. Two, Wises, in his experience, were always assholes that if you spent one day around anyone would see that if you would look past the blind adoration of them everyone at the damn school seems to have. Plus, these somewhat-popular-but-kinda-not-yet-somehow-funny types of guys are always egotistical. That is not an opinion, it’s a damn fact. Lastly, last time he had known someone who met all those criteria, being in Castor’s grade, being a werewolf, and being oh so ‘funny’, it matched his last roommate. That was a swell experience. That was sarcasm by the way. His experiences with people like that, with Ulfric, were terrible. Just try to be friendly, his head whispered. Juniper chewed on his lip and tore his eyes away from his backpack, giving up on finding his schedule for now as he looked over his shoulder and at Castor. Juniper took a deep breath before they spoke after turning back to his bag. “This kind of Spitfire Wyverns are native to where I live,” Juniper replied after a moment. Juniper took another deep breath since the next words he’d say would all be spoken in one long breath because of his inability to want to stop ranting once he had started. “They are native to a lot of places really since their fire basically can keep them warm anywhere despite them being cold blooded. They don’t make their own heat except for sparking flames which then keep them warm. There are also subspecies to Spitfire Wyverns which are basically the different types of pigeons. Spitfire Wyverns are actually very similar to pigeons because both have their own ‘class’ then their own species and even small subspecies depending on where you go such as Boston Pigeons versus New York Pigeons or Mountain Wyverns versus Desert Wyverns. The point is, these little fellas are extremely adaptable and live in all sorts of climates so I am honestly slightly concerned that you’ve never seen them, but I am more concerned you called them ‘mythical creatures.’ Gods, I could go on and on about that topic, but I will just sum up my argument: They are just normal animals, some of whom may seem special and magical, but that doesn’t negate that they are real. They deserve to be treated with the same admiration as any other creature and even the title separates the two. Most people are fine with others helping a blood thirsty lion when it gets hurt, but may the Gods forbid anyone who is stupid to helping and injured Kelpie!! Not mythical, just normal animals who deserve the same damn respect.” Juniper took a moment to catch his breath. This was just one of the many things Juniper always got in a debate about. This was also why he had no friends. All the arguing and whatnot. They turned around to face Castor. So much for trying to make friends. Maybe I can still try to make it seem like I was being friendly? “I suggest you visit Norway though,” Juniper looked up at him from his bed and actually softened his often sharp tone for once in his life. “Lots of those guys there. Oh and-” Xeno poked his head back out of the pocket letting out another small hiss, his tongue flicking out with annoyance- “Xeno won’t eat your pet. He eats rams’ meat and copper coins when he gets into a teething mood. Xeno just gets territorial of me and doesn’t like smaller creatures and most humans.” Juniper gave a small awkward smile. It was a little forced, but at least he was still trying to act nice and not be a total bag of dicks. Juniper kinda froze at the mention of a party. Internally, he was banging his head against the wall and screaming repeatedly. Why did there have to be a party? Of course he would say no to this!! Who wouldn’t? This was a stupid idea and a stupid plan and a stupid- “Sure.” Juniper wasn’t even sure if they heard themself correctly there. Every fiber in their being was saying no and yet they still said yes? Did they get hit in the head or something on the way there? Juniper took a short pause before continuing. “Not gonna be too happy about it, but I’ll go. Also, a little creepy you were watching me and my friend, but alright. Thanks I guess, stalker.” Oh, they were never going to drop that nickname for the man. Not until Juniper didn’t have to deal with this man or until Winston let them stay in his room. Speaking of him, Winston would have forced Juniper to go either way, so it wasn’t like Juniper had a choice. Juniper instantly tensed and got defensive as someone else entered the room. It was a girl. Or a woman, I guess. A Phoenix and a Seedling judging by her symbol and colors. She looked lost. Only problem was, the girl who entered seemed… upset? Like she was in an extreme panic attack. Like the kind you see in movies or with really fucked up people who can’t get treatment. The most noticeable thing about the girl, besides the whole panic attack which was the goddamn Hippogriff in the room, was her wavy blonde hair and her baby hippogriff. Hippogriffs are… amazing animals to say the least. Juniper remembers getting to ride one hippogriff to help a small herd of them and it was magical. “Hey uh… I like your pet? They look adorable?” Juniper wasn’t good with conversation starters. “Well umm… I…” Juniper sighed as he fiddled with the hem of his sweater with one hand, a nervous habit he had developed over time. The other hand he shoved into his jacket pocket and remembered something. He still had some lavender and spices in his pockets that his brother had given him. “Gods, I am really not good with people, but I have lavender and I know that lavender is really calm so would you like to take it since it looks like you need to calm down? Not that you should feel like you should stop your emotions because I am sure your emotions are valid. Not that they wouldn’t be- Oh for fucks sake…!” Juniper whined slightly, smacking his forehead before gently and awkwardly placing a stock of lavender on her knee. “There. Ima shut up now, before I regret my existence entirely yet again.”

Kage Ninomae I Werewolf Hybrid I Second Year I Phoenix Wing I Mentions: Juniper and Castor Kage was stunned when someone was in the room. She looked up, seeing not only one guy, but two. She bit down on her lip, trying not to cry. She watched as one of the guys fumbled around with his words. She barely took in what he said, but watched him closely as he gently put a small piece of lavander on her knee. He seemed akward and unsure, and something about that felt familiar to her. She looked over as the other guy was asking if she was lost and if she was okay. She barely registered the questions, starting to shiver slightly as her anxiety worsened. She felt the one guy, the one who had asked her the questions, gently touch her shoulder. She flinched and bit her lip harder, feeling tears in her eyes. She didn't register that her lip was now bleeding from biting on it. She just felt so powerless and lost. "S-so-sorry..." She stammered, looking between the guys. She was trying to apoligize for walking into the wrong room, disturbing them and even jsut being a burden. She didn't know why they even cared, they should jsut kick her out. Yet, she didn't want to try and leave and go out into the hallways with all of the other students. She was just so scared and overwhelmed. Her little Kirin pet moved from around her neck to go and nuzzle the guy's hand that was gently resting on her shoulder. She looked at the other guy again, he was obviously thinking he was dumb for what he had been saying. She managed to unlock her hands from around her legs and gently picked up the lavander. Thinking maybe that would make him feel better. He had tried to help and she wanted to let him know she noticed, even though she could barely breathe. She tried to just focus on one thing she could control, holding the small lavander plant. She tried to steady her breathing, but her anxiety didn't relent. She looked from the lavander to the two guys again, trying to muster the stregnth to do something, say something or at least just not feel like she was about to implode. Folla moved from rubbing against the guys hand to rubbing against her cheek. The small creature could sense something was wrong with Kage and wanted to help. Make friends. Her father's voice echoed in her head. She shook her head, biting her lip and tasting the metalic taste of the blood from where it had been bitten earlier. "I-I..." She mumbled. She took a few shakey short breaths. She just looked back down at her knees, not having the courage to try and fight her anxiety to try and talk. She was a failure, so everyhting was just as usual. So much for a good schoolyear. She thought, a tear sliding down her face.

Danori Kioa Tani | F | Darion Shapeshifter | Wisened Phoenix | Clem Di's head dipped lazily in the light of the morning.
Bobbing in a lackluster fashion, from any angle someone could tell she was almost asleep. It's not that she was trying to fall asleep. It just happened. One moment she's there, listening to the headmaster. The next, she hears something about "good" and her mind immediately goes to how tired she is- mostly about having to listen to him talk. She may be smart, but her mind had the attention span of a gnat in a swarm of flies. The only thing that woke her up was a scroll, appearing right in front of her. No. The thing, it MAGICKED here. Right in her hands. Oh, how she wished she was something better than a shapeshifter... something like a dragon. She could see it now: "Fear me, foul school-folk! I am Danori, the almighty dragon here to destroy you... for fun." When it appeared in her hand, was it really a surprise that was her first thought? There were probably better things she could've thought, but with her own self? Not happening. Taking a quick look at the scroll which ever so rudely woke her, she gave a smirk. Another Darion. The only way- that she knew of, of course- to know the other Darions were to be educated about who they were by their parents. And her father had, clearly, saved no expense in making sure she knew every last one of them. Anna Jackson. Rhysand Briar. Myself. Adrienne Kingston. And, of course, Clementine Dalton. The person on her list. She had no specific memories of the Phoenix. Maybe a word here and there, a call from seperate teachers, but she was partially glad to meet the woman. Someone to bounce ideas off of would be nice. Or go Imp hunting. Maybe even explore small bits of the Dark Forest... for fun, of course. Though, if her teachers had ever asked where or why she was doing something, she'd say it's 'supplemental to the school'. Lies, but believable all the same. Dïori gave a hiss by her neck, tongue flicking in and out indecisively. You'll find out soon. She reached her hand up to touch his obsidian scales. In response, his eyes shined at her. You and me, we have an agreement. Picking up her meager belongings, she walked out of the large hall before the first seedling name was called. She didn't really want to stay for that. Although she may have gotten a good laugh if the room saw her snoring. Serves those greedy little beggars right. She entered the long, adjacent hall, coming to a stop in front of a door not far from the room she'd been assigned. Now how could I show I'm... unique? Werewolves took the wolf, obviously. Vampires and fairies had anything that flies, centaurs took- well, centaurs- and the wizards took animals. What did that leave her with? I know! Quietly, she stood back and pressed against the wall.
Her bones snapped, changed, melded together, and she had to fight herself on a reaction to the physical interactions between stretching bones and cartilage. Before she knew it, she was standing up again- this time, on an extremely thick tail. She could see Dïori eyeing her from the side with a hint of approval. Or rather, as best a snake could give. Slithering forward on her new form, she gave a dip of her head to the roommate standing just outside their dorm. "What, you waiting for an invitation?" With a key she'd taken from one of the staff years ago, she checked to unlock the thick wooden door in front of her. They weren't normally locked, but who knew? It could come in handy. Pushing it open, she threw her bag to the back wall in indifference to the rationing of the dorm. "Go ahead with whichever, doesn't matter to me." Dïori gave the woman- Clementine, she reminded herself- a harsh look before slithering into the room.
The cobra curled up on a bed post, going to sleep with hardly a sound.

Castor Daniels | Wisened | Dragon | Antion | M: Kage, Juniper Juniper didn't seem to respond well to Castor's jokes. Almost as if Castor's attempt at being social had made him mad? Why? Did complimenting people's pets upset them these days? Castor hadn't caught on to the new trend. Those around him had always been quick to like him, he didn't know what was up with Juniper. Castor was making an earnest attempt, why did his new roommate insist on smothering it? Juniper's rant about wyverns also caught Castor off guard. Had he called them "Mythical beings?" They weren't, and he didn't exactly recall saying those words, so why would Juniper create a quote out of thin air? Perhaps the man had already taken a disliking for Castor? The werewolf couldn't fathom what would have planted it. "I don't stalk, merely notice and evaluate everything around me," he said, his tone and expression friendly as always. The kirin, nudging his hand, caused Castor to smile briefly, the concerned wrinkle between his brows dissipating at the creature's friendly nature. "S-sorry..." He heard the word slip from her mouth, and an understanding expression came over him. "No, don't apologize. The beginning of the year is always stressful, even for the Wisends. I'm sure you just need a moment to calm down." His tone matched the situation perfectly, as it always did. Understanding, empathetic, patient, but lacking the pitiful tone he knew so many didn't appreciate. She seemed to be biting her lip a little too hard. Perhaps even drawing blood, though he couldn't tell. She looked pretty stressed out, and Castor was willing to bet the lavender wasn't doing much, but he stayed silent. The woman seemed to be struggling with her words. "It's fine, take your time. You can stay in here as long as you need to help calm you down," he assured her with a smile. "Perhaps you could start out by telling us your name? We can help you find your room once the halls have cleared up a bit." Was she stressed by all the people, the coming school year, feeling lost, or all of it? He wondered, but didn't ask her any of these questions, not wishing to overwhelm her in the moment.

Juniper Grenleff | 22 | Demi-Boy | Half-Breed | Knowledgeable | Dragon | M: Castor (Dir) + Kage (Dir) “You look like you need a break huh?” Juniper spoke gently. One thing that was far different from Castor to this woman was the fact that his tone was… sweeter? It seemed like she genuinely cared for this girl after just meeting her, yet meanwhile his interactions with Castor have been more hostile. Well not hostile. More defensive. As if Juniper was trying to hide something or stay away from Castor. Even his posture towards the woman was more welcoming. While his posture previously was rigid and stiff, his shoulders raised like some sort of danger was present as he always seemed to lean away from Castor. This girl he was more open to though. His hands rested loosely at his side, not balled into fists, and his eyes held concern and seemed calmer, less darting all over the room to look for a way out. It was odd really. Even he noted how odd it sounded. “Here I um… Give me a minute, okay?” Juniper rushed over to his bag. Took out their sketchbook, their ink, and their books. He stopped, holding one book up close to see which one it was. It had a navy blue cover with words printed in a soft silver color. The History of Magic. It was such a well written book. Juniper studied it a moment longer before putting it off to the side. This would be something she might want. They were looking for something very specific though. Not their astronomy map. Who would want to see that? Not their journal. They would not let anyone read that. Not their… Ther hands drifted softly over the strings of the guitar. They pulled it out of the bag and observed the smooth wood and chipped wood finisher that covered it. It was Henry’s before he gave it to them. Henry taught them how to play it. Falla… She used to love it when they played the guitar for her. Not his guitar either. He placed it on the bed gently as he shook his head gently. No one would want to hear them play anymore. Finally, they found it. A small tea kettle. It was metal and carved with intricate patterns of not drakes, not wyrms, and not even wyverns, but dragons. Xeno climbed out of Juniper’s pocket at the sound of the metal kettle being placed on the drawer. In the kettle there were several packets of tea. Mostly it was calming tea for when Juniper had a terrible day or was feeling stressed with work. Juniper dumped out the tea packets onto the drawer and took a couple in his hand. Taking the water bottle from the side of his backpack, he whispered a small spell and watched as the water bottle raised and spilled the water into the black metal kettle. Xeno excitedly climbed onto the counter and opened his mouth, getting ready to- “Not yet Xeno!” Juniper hissed at the wyvern who was so desperately ready to show off his fire abilities. That damn lizard was such a show off. “So um… What kind of tea do you like? You can borrow one of my bed’s blankets and my book if it helps calm you, but I strongly recommend the tea. It was all made by my siblings from the ranch I live at. So we have…” His words drifted off as he looked at the several packets of tea in his hands. “Chamomile, mint… and let’sa see this is… cinnamon, this is lavender I believe, and of course, English Breakfast. I honestly have no idea what is in the last one. My pops usually makes that one and I just know it is full of caffeine if you’re interested in that. Definitely helped me pull all-nighters in the past.” “Yeah, fuck,” Juniper spoke in an almost whisper as Castor’s comment about names, smacking himself for not doing something sooner. “You’re right. Names. Of course.” For the first time in their brief interactions with this strange man, he agreed with him. Juniper sat down on the floor, crossing his legs politely as he smiled at her. “I am Juniper. That stalker guy over there-” a small smirk tugged at his lips as he pointed his thumb back at the man towering over both him and the girl- “his name is Castor.” Juniper gave a warm smile that seemed so sincere. “It’s good ta meet ya, lass.”

Kage Ninomae I Werewolf Hybrid I Second Year I Phoenix Wing I Mentions: Juniper and Castor Kage looked at both of the guys in the room with her. They both tried to comfort her, and it started to help a little bit. Her hands stopped shaking as badly even though her breathing was still quick and sharp. The tall guy with his hand still gently resting on her shoulder seemed less warm than the other guy. He has a much warmer tone and relaxed. She watched the warmer guy dig through some sort of backpack thing. She watched every object he pulled out closely, not sure if it could be a danger, but also just out of curiosity. He eventually pulled out some sort of tea pot thing, beautifully engraved. He then got some water and heated it up, using magic she assumed, and then poured it into the kettle. She watched the small little lizzard- wait no, fire wyvern- try to shoot a fireball at the kettle. "Not yet Xeno!" He yelled at the little wyvern, who apperently was named Xeno. She sllightly smiled for a second, forgetting about her anxiety in the moment as she watched the guy with his small creature. Although when he started asking her about teas, it all came back. She tensed up again and started biting her lip. "It's fine, take your time. You can stay in here as long as you need to help calm you down," The other guy, the one with his hand still gently on her shoulder, said. He was smiling at her and that caught her off gaurd. "Perhaps you could start out by telling us your name? We can help you find your room once the halls have cleared up a bit." She didn't nod, just looked down nervously. Now she was doing more harm than good. She should leave, but she knew she couldn't move. Something in her felt safe there too. These guys were nice and kind and were trying to help her. “You’re right. Names. Of course.” The tea guy said, going and sitting down with his legs crossed on the floor. He smiled at her for some reason. “I am Juniper. That stalker guy over there-” He- Juniper she suppoed his name was now, as he just introduced himself- pointed with his thumb at the other guy who was closer to her. “His name is Castor.” She looked at Castor. They both seemed very nice, but seemed to show warmpth in a different manner from eachother. “It’s good ta meet ya, lass.” Juniper said with a very warm smile at her. She slightly furrowed her eyebrows, thinking. "K-Ka-Kage..." She managed to spit out, getting nervous again. She looked between the two guys, wondering what their reaction would be. She hated her name, but it was what she was given. She also didn't like talking, it stressed her out. There was so many factors, what would people think about her, or about what she said. What if they turned on me and hate me? She shivered with the thought. Edited at March 30, 2021 09:06 PM by Dragonhorse

Clementine C. Dalton Feminine | Fourth Year | Phoenix Wing | Mentions: Nico ind. Danori dir. Clementine stopped at the door to her dorm. She felt herself halt entirely as she hesitated to open the door. Her eyes were directed at the dark wood with the gold numbers engraved above the nob, in the middle of the door, but her attention was elsewhere. She couldn't stop thinking about her father, and their argument from before. She couldn't shake off the hatred. How was she supposed to work for the Darions, when she absolutely despised her father? Her very model of a Darion, she despised. How was she supposed to hate the Antion when her father made it so hard to believe him. It wasn't like she had anyone else to follow. Her mother left without a word, and her father told Clem that she had left her and her family for the Antion. Which, was truly the stem of hatred that Clem believed she felt toward the Antion. Although, once she saw her brothers crippled by using dark magic, more confusing emotions entwined. Eugene, Rhaegus, I wish you were here. She slightly bit her inner cheek at the thought of them. She barely remembered her older brothers' faces. Now, all she was reminded of was her father's wyverns that he named after them. Those disgusting lizards, bearing the names of noble full-fledged Darion. Disgraceful. The mere thought of it left a distaste in Clementine. Her mind wandered to her younger brother, who she hasn't seen in ages, either. You'll get to see him once you've finished with the Antion university. Her father had always told her. And she believed him. At least, she wanted to believe him. Her younger brother had gone to study dark magic since he wasn't accepted into the university. He too was experiencing his last year in studying the dark arts. All she wanted was to- "What, you waiting for an invitation?" the voice gruffly spoke out, catching Clementine off guard. She looked around to see where the owner of this voice was, but her first glance failed. Although, the second one caught sight of a... snake? It simply slithered into the room, tossing its bags half-heartedly into the room as it found a comfy spot. Clementine's normal nonchalant self was brought back to reality as she rose a brow to the snake's sassy glare. She's had worse roommates. But this one sure was interesting. "You must've had a long trip, Danori," Clementine said, walking into the room and tossing her bags on the empty bed. She lightly pushed the door shut before turning her attention back to the grumpy snake. She got the idea that Danori wasn't up for talking, but there was nothing like a good irk to assert Clem's grudge for her abrupt interruption. After all, first impressions were a big thing in Clem's book, and Danori never really had met Clem. She knew the girl was a shapeshifter, at the very least. Her icy blue eyes shifted toward the small, snake form as she opened her bag. The girl had already fallen asleep, so Clem knew better to wake her... at least for now. She unzipped her black duffel bag, taking out piles of folded clothes and personal items. Every once and a while, she'd glance back over to the cobra. It was a habit, of course. She had only ever shared dorms with Antion, so she naturally had to keep an eye on those nosy bastards. Setting out all the items from each bag out carefully on the folded and neatly tucked-in bed, Clementine folded the bags into each other, tucking them in the corner of her closet before finding places for her clothes to go. Eventually, the items on her bed lessened, until there was nothing but the sheets. She had set up her books along her desk, tucking a pair of thick reading glasses into one of the drawers. Finally, she plopped down on the bed, back flat against the comfy mattress. She looked up to the raised ceiling before taking out the hairband that held her hair loosely together. Her inky waves spilled off from her shoulder onto the blue blankets, already making a tangle amongst themselves. She began to unbutton her hem coat, revealing a white flowy shirt that was tucked into a pair of black leggings. Sitting up, she slid out of the dark coat, wrapping it neatly together. Whispering a spell, the coat began to float, eventually hanging itself beside the dorm door as Clem sat down. She wasn't formal-looking at all now, instead, her back was hunched over lazily. She brought her legs up to a cross legged position, placing her elbows comfortably on her thighs. Her eyes drifted across the neatly decorated room. It was almost empty, but over time, Clem was sure this place would be full of both her and her roommate's shenanigans. Tapping her knees with her fingers, she exhaled, boredom already finding her. She had to distract herself before she began to think about things other than the university. "So... Danori," She perked up, likely waking the cobra. That is unless they already woke up from Clem setting up her stuff. "Are you going to be a snake all day or will you eventually relieve your shapeshifting abilities and return back to humanity?" Clem stated, her question took a slightly forced light-hearted tone, as she wanted to start off her impression with Danori a lot better than her other roommates. Although, waking her was probably not the best move... but Clementine couldn't care less, Danori already seemed to be a lot more abrupt than she had depicted, so she expected her to handle Clem. Before Clem could add anything in, a small noise sounded. A note slid from under her dorm, drifting into the middle of the dorm room. She couldn't tell from here if it was for Danori or her, so she hesitated to go over and pick it up. It only took a few moments for her to get up though, grab the note and open it widely. Yup. It was addressed to her. Sodden Forest at 2PM? Feel free to invite your roomie! Clem didn't need to see who it was written by, she just knew that Nico was already throwing something together. Her cold eyes glanced over to Danori for a moment, then back to the note. "Are ya free at 2pm? I've got the choice to invite you to some... thing in the Sodden Forest. That is if you aren't too busy taken naps," Clementine sarcastically put it, her brows slightly raising as her head tilted during the last bit, but her eyes were kept on the note as she tucked it into a pocket. She probably came off as another sarcastic jerk of a wisened, but she was at least trying to communicate with the other girl. Even if she held a little salt in her tone, her voice the entire time did take a more humorous side to it. Edited at March 31, 2021 04:07 PM by Kämpa
