Xenos were already at the school, he'd gotten here early today to see all the new and the returning students arrive. This would be his second year at the school as a teacher and he sure looked forward to it.
He liked seeing the students like this, outside of class, it helped him get a better picture of who they were. There were plenty of students who'd act differently during class in his experience so seeing how they acted with their friends and family as they were being dropped off or how they acted with the rest of the students upon meeting.
There were a few familiar faces among the students and plenty of new ones. Xe brought the cigarette in his hand up to his lips and breathed in the smoke, keeping it in his mouth for a few seconds before blowing it out, he absolutely hated smoking but, as anyone who's tried quitting knows, it's not easy.
Turning his gaze away from the cig and back at the students, he started noting what different species there were among them, some he could tell what they were at first glance, some he had a few guesses and some just appeared as regular humans, he knew they weren't, of course, but they looked like they were.
Xenos put the cigarette out before flicking it into a nearby trash can and dusting himself off a little, even if he wasn't dirty, before running his fingers through his hair to push it out of his face. Taking one last glance at the crowd of students, all caught up with their own thing it seemed, he grinned softly, he had a feeling that this year would be a fun one.
He then began the walk towards his classroom, he had the same one as last year but he had yet to look it over and see if everything was as he'd left it.

Floki was currently sitting in a tree, not too deep into the woods but deep enough so that he wouldn't be bothered. They were deep into reading a book right now though so you'd probably not be able to bother him anyway.
Seeing as he was about to start his third year at the school he had no need to run around and get used to the place, nor was he super interested in meeting the new students. Flo had arrived a few weeks early so he'd already gotten situated. They had the same cabin as the last two years and they'd get more than enough time to meet and possibly befriend their roommates during the school year that was to come so why should he be there now? He'd meet everyone eventually.
The first day of school was always so busy and overwhelming, new confused students everywhere, no thank you, he'd much rather be here, in a tree, reading a book.
After finishing a chapter, they looked up from the book to check the time. With a sigh he realized that there wasn't time for another chapter, it was time to start heading back.
He put his bookmark in the book before shutting it and grabbing the book with his tail so that he'd have both arms free. Floki climbed down from the tree, not needing more than a few seconds to do so, it wasn't his first time climbing trees after all.
The young male took the book in his hand again before setting off at a brisk pace towards the school. |

Chainbreaker | Female (Any Pronouns) | 27 (in appearance) | Medic | Shifter | Mentions: Open A woman that could hardly be described as medic-like, sat cross-legged in the medic office. Beyond the transparent glass of the large window, she could see students and some staff scrambling about as they moved into their various cabins. Chainbreaker didn't anticipate any major accidents, but it was always good to be prepared. Moving in didn't generally result in broken bones or third-degree burns, but then again, Forestview Legends Academy wasn't just any academy. Lightly brushing her wavy, obsidian hair out of her crimson left eye, Chainbreaker focused her attention back on the book in her lap. The text itself wasn't interesting by any means considering she already read the medical book twice over and knew the content like the back of her hand, but there wasn't anything remotely interesting to do. Letting out a quiet sigh, Chainbreaker flipped through a few more pages before snapping the book shut. With some muted steps of her heels touching the ground and the clinking of chains, Chainbreaker headed to the teacher's lounge. She needed a change of scenery and hoped for a large cup of coffee to help her get through the day. |

Soren She has been up since the sun came up and she had already unpacked all of her stuff in her cabin. She was sitting outside in front of her cabin with a couple of mice. They where both nibbling on some strawberrys that she had given them and in return they gave her some daisy to which she planted in the ground. She watched them with a smile on her face as they nibbled on the strawberrys. One was was a grey and white mouse and the other was a little brown mouse. Liam Just like his sister he got there pretty early and had already unpacked. But instead of chilling near his cabin he made his way up to a cliff. Looking down at the steep drop he smiled the scales on his skin glowing red. He turned so that his back was now facing towards the drop and fell backwards. Now falling and within the blink of an he was a dragon. He incased the air under his wings that he needed and flew around the whole school. Checking it out from above was very different from checking it down below. |

Nicole "Nic" Ayers | F | 20 | Harpy | M: Thea, Liam (ind.) Nic had no intention of staying in her cabin, making small talk with all the other students. As soon as Nic's bags were safely on Nic's bed, she was out the door, her wings already spreading. Nic made sure to open her wings slowly, so that people would subconsciously move out of the way. Nic hated it when people tried to touch her wings. Each feather was more sensitive than the entirety of Nic's body. When Nic's wings were fully spread, she took off, startling a few of the new students that were closest to Nic. Nic felt the wind play with her feathers and her hair, one of the best feelings in the world. Nic soared up, up, up through the clouds before free falling back down. The water in the clouds ticked as she fell, and again as she straightened herself out again. Down below, a tiny speck of a person jumped off a cliff. Before Nic could process the fact that the kid had jumped, he turned into a dragon. Nic emailed. At least she wouldn't be the only one flying. ~*~*~*~ Thea Moore | F | 18 | harpy/faerie | M: Nic, Soren Thea fiddled with the cuff of her glove, trying to figure out what to do. Her bags were already in her cabin, and there was no one inside who she could have talked to. So, Thea set out after her sister. Thea was halfway to her sister's cabin when Nic took off. It was moments like this that Thea wished she could soar like her sister. Yes, Thea had wings, but they were shorter and weaker than Nic's. Thea could fly short distances, with much effort. Nic was like a hawk, and Thea was like a tiny songbird. Luckily, there were more people over by Nic's cabin. One girl in particular seemed friendly. She was hanging out with some mice. She must be a nature lover. Thea was sure she would get along with the girl. Thea approached carefully, so she wouldn't scare the mice away. "Hi! I'm Thea, harpy-faerie hybrid. Do you mind if I sit here?" Thea motioned to the step next to the girl and the mice. |

Soren The little mice where startled at first and ran up onto soren lap. But when they relized that the girl wasn't going to hurt them they went and sniffed her foot. The little brown mouse offered her its nibbled strawberry. "Not at all have a seat." She smilled and dusted of the spot next to her. "I'm soren I'm half fae half human. But I would like to believe I'm more fae then human." The little grey and white mouse crawled back up into her lap and curled up into a ball. "The little brown mouse is taloola and this grey and white one is max." She gently stroked the little mouses body and watched to see what the girl would do. |

Kaito, seeing the increasing amount of students, huffed out an annoyed sigh. He might as well go back to his cabin, since there wasn't much else he could do- and most of the other students didn't seem very keen on stopping to talk to each other either, more intent on finding their way around. There seemed to be an endless sea of unfamilar faces, which was slightly disappointing- although he wasn't sure why he'd have expected anything different. The majority were arriving for the first time, from all over, so of course he wouldn't know them. But to be fair, there were some who'd enrolled earlier like himself, and he knew them vaguely by appearance. Oh, and Liam, who he'd known since before this, even.
Speaking of Liam, where was he? Kaito had spotted Soren outside her cabin on his way out, playing with a couple of mice, but the other dragon shapeshifter was nowhere to be found. They had the same cabin (thankfully), but Liam had to have arrived after him, since Kaito had seen so sign of anyone else when he'd dropped off his bags. He would've probably wanted to explore a bit as well. A little bit of annoyance flickered at the fact that the other had gone without trying to find him, but Kaito effectively squashed it down. He hadn't exactly left a note, had he? Someone- a new student? It was hard to tell from the ground- had decided to take a look from above, spreading their wings and soaring into the clouds. He followed their progress until he couldn't see them anymore, wondering how it felt- or how they breathed up there, for that matter. How high could they go without having trouble with oxygen? He'd never flown- due to the fact that he didn't posess wings of any kind (as a dragon, he retreated to the water)- and anyway, he didn't fancy the feeling of knowing he could plummet to the ground any second. He was almost at his cabin now, and the crowd had started to thin a little in that direction, so he slowed down, glancing toward the edge of the valley, steep, sloping cliffs that surrounded them. Maybe he could try and paint them...they would be really stunning during the sunrise or sunset... Kaito was almost lost in thought when something caught his eye, a bright flash on the cliffs before a rumbling roar came from that direction- loud and powerful, despite the distance. The 'Creature of Forestview', or so it was called. He'd seen...or rather, heard it, a few times since he'd arrived. No-one knew exactly what it was, but so far, it seemed to be relatively harmless..or as harmless as a beast like that could get. |

Now, if someone had asked Zeph if dei thought dei would get lost on the first day, the hybrid would’ve shrugged and said that dei didn’t know. It would be dei’s first year at the school, after all, and it was common for new students to get lost. Especially ones with a curiosity like feis. And that’s how dei had gotten lost, immediately. Sure, dei’s sense of direction was amazing but curiosity outweighed it 9 times out of 10. -- So, instead of trying to find tiks cabin, dei was exploring the grounds. And instead of flying around to do so, dei was walking around. To be fair, dei usually kept tiks wings and halo unsummoned, since it was just easier to only have tiks tail out. So no one would ask about why dei wasn’t flying instead, but if they did? Dei just preferred walking, it let fei see more of the details in the landscape and scenery. Not that that was what dei was really interested in but still. -- Alas, destiny apparently didn’t want fei to explore, since dei stumbled upon cabin 5 rather quickly. Curse that inner sense of direction! And so, huffing in mock annoyance, dei entered the cabin and explored it instead. After seeing the entire building, dei threw tiks bags onto the bed dei decided dei wanted. Then, jumped onto it, easily maneuvering tiks tail to not accidentally hit anything or deiself. Shallum Eisuke-Kaibutsu Karuma 17 | Male | Yōkai Haunted Fey | Asexual Demiromantic | Ambiamorous | Cabin 4 | Mentions; Open. Karuma was still standing near the entrance of the school, Eisuke and Kaibutsu standing on either side of him. At the moment, he was trying his best to ignore the two and find his cabin. The two were practically going at each other, but neither had pulled out a weapon yet so it was arguably better than it usually was. He pulled the hygiene mask further up over his nose and started walking, rather glad that it took a moment for the two to notice that he’d begun moving. -- “Hey, Karuma! What’re you doing? We haven’t decided anything yet.” Kaibutsu spoke, easily getting over to Shallum and putting an arm around the fey’s shoulder. Right to left. -- A huff of annoyance, a presence at his left, “It is rather rude to walk away before anything’s discussed, but he does need to find the cabin still.” -- He narrowed his eyes in response, hunching his back as he continued walking. His voice; a biting tone as he spoke. “There wouldn’t be a need for me to walk around looking for it when you could just fly around, Eisuke.” -- Eisuke sputtered, as if taken by surprise, and Kaibutsu snickered. “W-Why-” -- “That was terrible, Karuma! She thought she raised you better than that. I’m so proud.” Eisuke shot Kaibutsu a glare as he spoke smugly, a smirk playing on his features. -- Eisuke hmphed at them, stopping in her movements. And then a white dove was flying past the other two, and into the sky. Kaibutsu barked a laugh, and then whistled at the bird. At Eisuke… Karuma honestly did not understand the two, at all… -- The two remaining on the ground went over to some of the nearby trees to wait, Karuma deciding immediately to try and ignore Kaibutsu the whole time. He did not want to end up making a bad impression on the first day, and he knew that if he listened to Kai(or either of them really) then that dream was done for. -- Luckily(or maybe unluckily, depending on whether you thought having both of them in one place was a good thing or not) Eisuke returned rather quickly and began to lead the way to the cabin they’d be staying. Sure, the cabin was technically only for boys and only for Karuma, but the two could go animal for a while in order to stay nearby. Which was what they had decided to do. Because they couldn’t just leave him alone for two seconds. -- When they got to the cabin, Karuma walked in with a black cat at his right heel and a white dove on his left shoulder. One of the beds was already taken so he set his bags down on one of the other two in there. Garvin 18 | Male | Unknown | Demisexual Panromantic | Ambiamorous | Cabin 2 | Mentions; Kaito(Ind/Dir.), Open. Garvin moved in the crowds with ease, it was a lot like the crowds on streets during the busiest parts of the day. So he found it relatively easy to move around, making finding his cabin just about the easiest thing he’d ever done. All the while trying to resist the urge to steal from the people around him. That part wasn’t easy, so he kept his hands within his coat pockets the entire walk there, not like he had much to hold anyways. -- He went into the cabin and looked around, a few of the beds had already been taken so he went to one closer to the door; never knew when he’d need to leave quickly early in the morning or late at night. There was someone else in the cabin too, so he gave them his signature grin and a two fingered wave. -- Garvin sat down on the bed, and leaned back against the headrest. Glancing at the only other person in the room, he paused for a second. He should probably ask if they’re all good with smoking and stuff, he could always smoke outside if his cabin didn’t want him smoking in here… But then again, it wasn’t like they couldn’t deal with it either way and he didn’t know if they had a curfew or not, so that would be hard to deal with too. -- Glancing back at the only other person in the room, he grinned. He’d deal with that stuff later, for now though… “Hey there, how’re ya?” |
