Tapeesa Team Two Lead Dog M: Kayuh
The aged canid takes a moment to process the rapid-fire response of her younger teammate, looking a bit caught off guard. "You should try to sleep," she soon voices, a concerned gaze training itself on the malamute, "you'll need all of the energy you can spare for the upcoming race."
Her tongue drags along her muzzle as she finishes speaking, as if collecting the remnants of a meal or some water. "I'd be more excited if I hadn't done this several times before. It's all the same; get tied to the sled, run when told to, stay on a track and cross the finish line." Her crania gives a small shake, nose seeming to wrinkle at the admission; she'd always enjoyed racing, truthfully, it was all just too repetitive for her. She was almost eager for her coming retirement, a chance to do something new.
Rather than bringing up her thoughts, which would likely dim the younger's excitement for the upcoming event, she plasters a fond look on her face and returns her focus to the malamute. "I slept fine; best I have in quite a while." Edited at June 29, 2019 09:15 PM by Kurudia

<div style="text-align: center;">Kiko || Male || Team 1 || Lead Dog || Mentions: Dakota, Nevada, Kavik <div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Kiko enjoyed the warmth of Dakota's pelt. He listened to the other dogs barks, along with the humans to see if he was needed anywhere. He turned towards Dakota and licked her muzzle before returning his gaze to the humans. Kiko's eyes followed Dakota's towards John and knew what she was thinking. He already had known they were related.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">His thoughts traveled back to Team 2's camp. Kiko had only been to their camp once and thought they his team had better living conditions. In his opinion. He shook his head to clear the thoughts and listened to the man's voice. Kiko couldn't fully understand every word they said but he picked out a few of them.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"Kiko." His name was called and Dakota gave him a nudge on the shoulder to snap him out of his mind. Kiko once again licked her ear and padded towards the man as he watched Nevada come too. Kiko sat down by the mans feet as he curled his tail neatly around his paws. He was ready for the race.
