Marble-Team 1-Team dog-m:Nevada
As Marble kinda stood there, he parted his maw, letting his tongue loll out as he pants faintly. He wasn't stressed, just happy at the fact he could get to run again. The Aussie Samoyed mix had a love for sled racing, more so the fact he could just run and have friendly competition. The mix never understood why everyone else was so competitive towards the other team, but he kinda went his own way with races, opinion wise. Good sportsmanship was something he.. kinda overtook as a phrase. Instead of wanting to win, he preferred having fun. While others shout for victory, Marble is kinda in the back with a smile saying how he's having so much fun just being there.
Yeah, he's the kinda guy who'd wear the sweaters grandma knits and no one wants. The nice guy who's too nice for his own good. That's Marble right there. But, he's spiced up with anxiety too, making this a spicy mix of happy and "oh god oh christ what if this happens or that happens or this doesn't happen.." in just one hyped up pup. His cheerful blue-brown eyes turn over to see Nevada as she walked over, greeting him in a friendly way. Marble had a cheerful Samoyed smiley face on when he spoke. 'Oh, g'mornin Nevada! I'm pretty hyped for this race. Can't wait to have fun out there!' he chimes as his half tail seemed to cut through the air. He was new, sure, but he didn't have social anxiety where he couldn't speak to others. He was a very, and I mean very, social dog

<div align="center">Kiko <div align="center"> Team 1 | Lead Dog | Mentions: Kavik, Dakota <div align="center"> <div align="center">Kiko hesitated when Kavik had asked him if he really wanted him to share his opinion but shrugged and listened. Kavik's personality, from what Kiko had learned, concluded of something nobody else had. That was certainty. He was certain that what he said, would be true. Most of the time, it was true. <div align="center"> <div align="center">Kiko listened to the rest of Kavik's response, about how he thought it was good that they had good chemistry between eachother. Meaning, they never disliked one another for any mistakes made, they just gave them some kind words and told them to cheer up. Which was Kiko's favorite part of the team but he realized that some were on the fence about the lead dogs because they were jealous.<div align="center"> <div align="center">Or maybe they thought the lead dogs knew everything and were bossy know-it-alls. But, that wasn't true. Kiko only spoke for himself and not the others, but he treated everyone the same. Besides his mate, Dakota, and his best friend, Kavik. Maybe a little better just because they had perfect relationships with eachother.<div align="center"> <div align="center">Kiko perked his ears when Dakota arrived and sat down next to him. He gave her a lick on the ear and returned his gaze towards her. He had fallen in love with Dakota from the beginning when they were training as pups, he was determined he would win her over. And it worked. Dakota was his lifetime mate. It would always be that way too.<div align="center"> <div align="center">'Are you two ready for the race?'<div align="center"> <div align="center">She had asked Kavik and him. "Ready as I'll ever be I guess." He said before readying his speach again. "I feel as if we'll do good, just not our best. Just because John isn't here and we have more unexperienced wolves than usual. But I have faith." He finished, looking up at the sky to determine what time it was.<div align="center"> <div align="center">Kita<div align="center">Pack | Dominant | Mentions: Open<div align="center"> <div align="center">Kita woke to the sun shining on his back. He opened his eyes and saw a tiny ant crawling in front of him. He stood up and blinked the sleep out of his eyes as he stretched forward, releasing the tension in his muscles. Kita stood up, under his branch he was laying under, and shook his pelt out, getting rid of the wetness from the dew.<div align="center"> <div align="center">He walked out of the shade and into the sun, where the sun met his face and neck. He walked stiffly over to the woods and once again stretched. He didn't know why he was sore, but here he was with stiff muscles again. He stood straight up, finally the tension easing away. Now he was back to his normal self. He padded off deeper into the woods.<div align="center"> <div align="center">Kita found himself staring over a cliff, watching the sun come up as the morning breeze ruffled his fur. He perked his audits before turning away and going to hunt. He followed the scent trail he had been on since that very morning, as he stopped when he herd scuffling nearby. He turned his head and looked over his shoulder to see a squirrel busy storing nuts for winter.<div align="center"> <div align="center">'Well it's late because the snow already fell.'<div align="center"> <div align="center">Kita thought in his head but grunted aloud. He moved towards the squirrel in a stance he had learned from his fellow packmates. The squirrel moved itself farther away from Kita, not know that he was there. Suddenly, Kita pounced while landing neatly on the squirrels tail. He bent down and took a quick nip of its neck.<div align="center"> <div align="center">Kita returned to camp with the limp body of the squirrel hanging in his jaws. He decided he would lay back down under the branch he usually slept at and placed the prey in front of him before tearing the flesh away and leaving only a few bones of the remains. He looked across the camp, watching the nature buzz around him. Everyone was about to swarm the camp. Edited at June 25, 2019 08:03 PM by South Side

<div style="text-align: left;">The tan and white-pelted female leaned gently against Kiko in response to the lick he had given her. She swiftly gazed up at him, a soft smile on her features, which complemented her nicely. Even after she had conversed with two canines for less then a second, she began to feel less nervous. She had confidence that they would do well. <div style="text-align: left;"> <div style="text-align: left;">Her gentle gaze moved over to some of the others that were speaking, such as Marble and Nevada, that is, before turning back to Kiko and Kavik. Dakota listened intently to their responses, hoping to find even more reassurance in their words. The dame glanced at Kiko with an intrigued look. "Maybe John not being here is just another reason for us to do our best. We can make him proud knowing that he has trained us well." She flicked her ears slightly. "I have no doubt that we will try our hardest, regardless." She spoke in her typical soft tone as she made eye contact with the two males. <div style="text-align: left;"> <div style="text-align: left;">She nodded her cranium in agreement. "We may have more inexperienced individuals, but I'm sure that with our help, they will be just fine, as will the rest of us." She paused. "Leave it for fate to decide." Dakota smiled widely before flexing her paws outwards in a small exercise.<div style="text-align: left;"> <div style="text-align: left;">Short, my apologies)).

She was with them from the beginning as well. She lashed her tail. She probably looked like a wolf from others but she was truly a dog. She barked,"Certainly Dakota.. John taught us they ways to be powerful in the snow. We should take our advantages and show our new musher how we are."<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">She flicked her ears towards the out the territory. She barked,"Who knows what our enemy dogs that we compete. I just wanna shove it in there faces if we win." She smirked at the other dogs. She wags her tail. She barked,"I feel a lot of adrenaline in my veins. It's very alarming to me."<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">She heard about the inexperience dogs from Dakota's mouth. She barked,"Well, thankfully they will sharpen up. Or they won't survive on the icelands. They will need to learn. But, we get it. We were them back then. Since. I was a little furball I was training to just pull a little barrel." She chuckles back in the day with her struggling to pull a little barrel.

Tapeesa Team 2 Lead Dog M : Open
The tri-colored, seasoned canid lies within the enlarged dog-house she calls home, salmon tongue rasping over the pads of her paws and tail thumping against the covered floors contently. Ebony ears stand erect, twitching at each little sound and piercing ultramarine gaze trained on the ice-bound exterior. Aging bones ache as she soon pauses her grooming and stands, breast lowering to the floor as she stretches out, foreclaws scraping the ground beneath her frame. Once satisfied with the lack of stiff muscle she rises, padding out of the enclosure and into the chilling weather.

<div style="text-align: center;">Kavik Team One | Team Dog | Mentions: Kiko, Dakota, Kapu
The male watched the two love bids quietly, nodding to both of their words. "True I suppose it is a good opportunity to make John proud, however, I just worry this human won't know or understand us as well. You know? John is used to us and any quirks we have, and knows how we are. This new musher may not know us to that degree, and it could be a hindrance," he spoke honestly, worry coating his gravelly voice. Not having the best experience with humans, he could be wary of them now and then when he doesn't know them. He tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but he didn't take things lightly during a race.
He glanced over as Kapu joined them more, his ears flicking and pinning to her words. She was a harsh female, in Kavik's mind, and he wasn't overly fond of her point of view on anything. She was a great wheel dog, he'd never question that, but he couldn't help but twitch at her words.
"I don't think it's our intention to ever leave a dog behind, whether to learn or sharpen as quickly as we want them to," he replied back to her, before glancing at the three. He did his best to ignore the comment she had made earlier about rubbing it in the faces of their rivals. He'd just never been about that really.
He smiled at Dakota's words though, and nodded gently, "always some of the wisest of words, Dakota." He offered, glancing back towards the barn and letting out a subtle sigh. "I suppose much of the race will be left up to fate, but forgive me if I intend to do everything to sway it in our favor," he chuckled, joking softly with the group of canines he sat with.
He glanced back briefly at Kiko and Dakota, smiling softly at the two. He was happy that his friend had found love in the Swing Dog. It was not something Kavik had experience with really, but it certainly helped make life more enjoyable. Of course, the only love Kavik had ever really known was for his food bowl and a soft pillow.

<div style="text-align: center;">Kayuh Team Two | Wheel Dog | Mentions: Tapeesa
The large, red-brown female had been laying atop her doghouse for hours. She wasn't particularly bothered by the cold and only really used it at night to sleep. When she was awake though? She was usually found atop the small structure, as she enjoyed being able to look around at the other dogs.
She spied their Lead Dog, Tapeesa, exiting her own little house and yapped softly, just enough to try and get the other dog's attention. Quietly she rose and bounced down off the small house and walked to the end of her chain and sat down. Her light yellow eyes were locked on the older dog, and she wagged her tail gently.
"Good Morning, Tapeesa," she called out softly, her voice cheerful but not obnoxious. She was just happy to possibly have someone to talk to, the female had been up and silent for what had felt like hours to her. Which, in hind sight, it probably was. She was just to anxious and excited for the race.
Nevada Team One | Lead Dog | Mentions: Marble
Neva let out a soft laugh at the male's enthusiasm, some of his excitement rushing her nerves away for the moment. "That's good, Marble. Glad to hear that," she offered quietly, her ears twitching as she glanced around again. "Have you, um, ever been in a race this long before?" She was curious to know if he had. She, personally, had only ever been in one longer race, not quite as long as this one, and she hadn't been leading either. So, she just was wanting to see if there was any chance it would be a new experience for someone else as well.
((Sorry, so short.))

Cascade ~ Team 1 ~ Swing dog ~ M: None
The medium sized dog growled as she heard voices, and covered her face with a paw. Then she stood up and moved to the stall opening, letting her paws poke out. Cascade had her ears back and her tail was curled around her side, pressing against her paws. She hated socializing, and disliked being here. It wasn't her fault that she was born this dog breed, and chosen to be a sled dog. The Seppala dog flicked an ear before she rested her head in her paws, grumbling to herself. Her icy colored gaze was set on her paws, as she had her muzzle between them. The dog mainly hated being a sled dog, the only part she liked was feeing the snow between her paws, and the wind in her face. That was amazing, and it made her feel happy. Happiness was something she didn't feel often. Cascade mumbled something to herself as she shifted her position.
The Seppala dog was now laying on her side, somehow not being able to get comfortable. With a sigh, Cascade just settled for sitting upwards. She looked around the barn, seeing where the voices were coming from.

It's alright))
Marble-Team 1-Team dog-m:Nevada
The male Aussie Samoyed mix stood there, a little too giddy for this race. Marble had only been in a few races... 5 to be exact. And none were ever as big as this one race that'll happen today. It made him happy to know he was going to partake in this event, but nervous at the same time as he didn't know if he'd be good enough for the team. The male's blue-brown eyes once more focused on Nevada as she spoke quietly. He smiled, and nods lightly as he sat down. He could tell the damsel was nervous, there was absolutely no doubt about it. Her hushed voice, the way her ears twitched as she glanced around. Guilty as charged, Nevada was probably anxious.
The male tuned in as she asked if he had ever been in a race this long before, and the male went from cheerful to a little less.. giddy and more nervous. 'Heh.. to be honest, no. I'm really nervous for this, as well as excited. First times are usually the best, right?' he asks as he wanted a bit of clarity and confirmation on what he had always heard humans use for a phrase. Marble wasn't used to big things, since he's new and all, and doesn't expect to be the number one go-to dog for all the races either. He was too hyper sometimes, and acted like a pup more times than he could count, making him least likely to be picked. The only reason he's a good asset, in his eyes, was due to his can-do attitude, his endurance, and his strength. Besides that, Marble saw himself as kinda nothing compared to other dogs

<div align="center">Dakota || Dame || Swing Dog || Team 1 || Mentions: Kiko, Kavik, Kapu <div align="center">
<div align="left">At the new presence of Kapu, she offered the female one of her smiles. In response to her wording, Dakota simply tilted her head and nodded. "I believe that the new musher can learn something from us, just as we can learn something from him. However, we must also keep in mind of our musher's orders. If we disobey them, then we most likely won't succeed. After all, it is a team, both dogs and owners." Her words were intended for both Kapu and Kavik, as well for anybody listening in. <div align="left"> <div align="left">She glanced over at Kavik. "Although you speak the truth, I'm sure that the new musher will understand our ways. We will teach them throughout the race, and eventually, they will get used to it. Surely if John trusts them to race, then we should as well." Dakota turned to Kapu, enjoying her enthusiasm. "You mean when we win. Confidence is the key to success, as I like to say." She chuckled lightly, simply saying that sentence to further excite the female. She didn't necessarily agree with her words in terms of rubbing it in, which is why she further commented on it. "Nobody should be rubbing it into another's face. We are all equal, and we should be better then that. We will all try our hardest to win, which is why we should not be commenting negatively on the losing team, regardless of what they say to us." <div align="left"> <div align="left">She listened carefully to her next words about the inexperienced canines. "Over time we all learn. We were all in their place once, so we should know how they feel." She cocked a brow at Kavik. "Indeed, we shall never leave another behind. Why, it's practically a law amongst one another." At his compliment towards her and her wording, Dakota beamed. "Why thank you, Kavik." She gave him a playful bow before smiling widely. It was appreciated when others noticed the way she spoke. She never truly meant to speak in the way she did, though she always had a different perspective on things, sometimes more then one. It helped her see everything differently. <div align="left"> <div align="left">The dame let out a soft bark of laughter at his joke. "Fate works in mysterious ways. Sometimes it works in our favour, sometimes it doesn't. Though it never does hurt to try and give it a little nudge every-now-and-then." She winked before looking back at Kiko, her eyes sparkling. She remembered the two being close friends ever since they were mere pups. It was no surprise that the friendship they shared would eventually turn into something much more.
