<div style="text-align: center;">Kavik
Team One | Team Dog | Mentions: Kiko

The male spied the pure white form of Kiko, one of the Team's Lead dogs, and pushed off the wall of his kennel. Carefully he walked out of his kennel and past the bowls, some of them already eaten, some of them untouched. His was already eaten, he didn't like to run on a heavy stomach. Slowly he walked over to where Kiko was drinking water from a puddle and chuckled, "you know we have water bowls for that." Kavik's tired voice was washed with humor, and the male stood as straight as his stiff body would let him. It would take him about a solid hour for him to feel like one of the younger dogs, if that.

Gently the male lowered to his haunches and shook his head, looking about at the snow covered ground. There was a fresh layer of snow on the ground, though he wasn't sure if that was just from the winter or if a storm had blown through last night. Kavik always slept through everything, he was practically dead to the world when passed out.

"Are you worried about this race?" Kavik asked the other dog, curious about what his answer would be. It wasn't every day they got to try out a brand new race. And this one was suppose to go through extremely harsh terrain at times, so it was bound to be dangerous.

<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Kiko looked up in suprise as the form of Kavik showed up behind him. He paused and l licked his lips, finishing the water that had rolled down his throat. He smirked as the male had mentioned the water bowls that the humans kept inside by the food bowls. "No, I didn't know that." He joked, bumping his head aginst Kavik's shoulder.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Kiko continued to speak. "The water out here is a lot colder then the ones in the barn." He explained, then kept going. "Besides, snow tastes good." His eyes lit up with humor. Kiko sat down and rapped his tail neatly around his paws and looked back up at Kavik again, enjoying his best friends company. He hoped it would last.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">He nodded when Kavik had asked about the race. "I'm always nervous before a race, you know that." He teased. "Nervous is a good thing though. When you're not nervous, you'll probably do bad." He laughed. "That's what i've learned anyways." He finished, again his eyes lighting up with humor.

<div style="text-align: center;">Kavik
Team One | Team Dog | Mentions: Kiko

The large Alaskan Husky sat beside is friend, his ears flicking occasionally as the white dog spoke. He nodded quietly as Kiko spoke, catching the wisdom that came with experience in his words. The male's tail limp beside him, not having the same enthusiasm as he did when he was younger. Sure, he still loved being a sled dog, but he noticed things he didn't used to. Like how the harness and the weight of the sled on the lines would begin to hurt his shoulders. House his calloused paws would begin to bleed faster than normal if he wasn't wearing booties: which he both loathed and loved. He could still pull his own weight on the trail, but Kavik didn't want to put this team in a bad position when he could no longer do that. Better to get out while on top right?

The male let out a tired sigh, and glanced at Kiko, "how do you feel about the team this time round? We've got some more inexperienced dogs, and we don't even have our normal human." He always liked hearing Kiko's insight before a race, it was like having a plan with strong points and weaknesses pointed out. It almost allowed him to know what to expect so he could better be prepared for it. He knew Nevada would be leading alongside Kiko, which was a blend of experience, natural talent, and youth. It could be a good mixture if the younger dog didn't let her mind over think every little thing.

However, Kavik wasn't as in tune with the rest of the team, as dogs were constantly being swapped out for certain races depending on their strengths and weaknesses. Like himself, for example, normally Kavik might not have been on the team for a longer race, but because it was new, John had gone with making sure there was experienced runners on the team, instead of stronger, more energetic dogs.

<div align="center">'Only the nerves will stricken'<div align="center">
<div align="center">Her ears perked to Kavik voice about the newer dogs. She wasn't new at all. Kapu was a wheel dog for awhile and swing dog once. She had experience of the sled and the treks of snow for hours and hours long. It made her shiver wither excitement that they were going to do that soon. She did wonder about the newest members. She thought,'They better learn quick.'<div align="center">
<div align="center">Kapu didn't really like the lead dogs with how much pride they prance around thinking they're the best. They wouldn't be up there without the rest of us. Especially the Wheel dogs. We do the work and get scolded and treated like scoundrals. Bear the other wheel dog was indeed stronger than her but together they had great strength. Her and Bear were stood friends cause of talking for miles and pushing eachother.<div align="center">
<div align="center">Kapu lays back down and thinking about the race. Her nerves were through the roof. She was very jittery and her tail swaying back and back. Her curly fur was matted with fur. She tried to rake them out with her teeth and claws. She reached to her ear with her hind ear to get that itch.

<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Kiko grinned, enjoying watching Kavik think. Kavik and Kiko had know eachother since they were little. Even though Kavik was a year and a half older than him, they had still bonded and kept that bond until the present, making them bestfriends. Or in other words, brothers.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">'How do you feel about the team this time around.'<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Kavik had asked him a moment earlier, while Kiko thought about his response. Kiko opened his mouth and replied with the usual 'experience words', "Your right about having more inexperienced wolves on the team." He nodded, showing Kavik he agreed. "But, I feel as if the newcomers with watch the experienced ones and learn from them." He hesitated, not entirely finished with his answer. <div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">"About the new sled runner," He paused, thinking for a second. "Well, I think out owner wouldn't have picked someone to do it if he didn't trust him." He added, not even knowing that someone else was running the team, other than his original owner. "Hopefully we'll do good, but i'm not entirely sure either. Newcomers and New Leader." He looked at Kavik. "What do you think?" He asked as he perked his audits, listening to the birds chirping in the distance.

Marble-Team 1-Team dog-m:Open

An Aussie Samoyed mix lay in his kennel, his body curled up as he silent dozed. His mainly white pelt, with hints of black splotched onto it, slowly rose and fell as he breathes, an ear twitches as he felt his blue-brown eyes slowly greeted by the sight of the inside of his kennel. Hie eyelids, no matter how much he tried to force them to remain shut so he may continue dreaming on, didn't follow with the plan. The sled dog grumbled faintly as he tossed his head back to look outside of his kennel, where the exit was towards his back. His short tail lightly thumping as be began to see other sled dogs from his team awaken.

Oh boy! The team's waking up! Maybe I can go and see what we're gonna do for this lovely day! Oh wait- the race is today! The Aussie Samoyed mix chimed in his mind as he, instead of getting up like a normal dog, rolled over out of his kennel like a pup would. His playful nature, sometimes annoying to others, was what kept him pretty much sane, since it balanced out the anxiety he suffered. Marble leapt up onto his paws, his entire pelt messy from rolling around on the ground. His already curly pelt was hard to manage, now, imagine it being 10 times more messy. Yeah, every morning was like this. A messy, curly fluffy pelt of black and white would always greet the humans everyday, with a bright expression planted on Marble's face just about everyday.

Marble looked over to where Kiko and Kavik were chatting, and turned his attention to the large and muscular Kapu. He wasn't nearly as big or strong as these other dogs, and has only been sledding for nearly 3 years now, but he was a good asset. At least, that's what he liked to believe. He believed he was a... a... positive outlooking pup who enjoyed keeping things at a nice calm and joyful level. Well, he didn't know his better worth in the team yet, since he's always been the child of the crew, but perhaps he might learn his worth soon enough.

Blue-brown eyes land on one more dog, Nevada, the lead sled dog Marble kinda liked more than Kiko. It's not that Kiko isnt a good dog, or lead sled dog, or whatever. It's just.. the dog was more firm and stoic than Nevada. Marble kinda stood there, his tail wagging with unknown joy as he kinda looked around, not sure who he'd like to go and chat with as of now

<div style="text-align: center;">Dakota || Dame || Swing Dog || Team 1 || Mentions: Kiko, Kavik, Kapu
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: left;">Dakota had been sleeping peacefully within her kennel, that is, until the rest of her teammates began barking and speaking with one another. Now, she wasn't one to sleep in, but, of course, she needed her rest before the race. She was a swing dog, one that needed to control the direction of the sled. Besides that, she had also been tasked as a back-up lead dog, which she had only been a couple of times. However, she had enough practice with that, so she knew how to properly lead and communicate with the others. <div style="text-align: left;">
<div style="text-align: left;">In a graceful manner, she picked herself up from the ground and shook out her thick and tanned pelt free of dirt before exiting her kennel. Dakota was a large dog with several muscles, especially in her legs. Having to steer took a lot of strength, and, over time, helped build up her muscles. "Good morning everybody." Her voice was cheerful and melodic, as well as full of excitement. Today was the day they beat the sled dogs in the second team. <div style="text-align: left;">
<div style="text-align: left;">She was nervous, she had to admit, but she was also confident. Confidence was one of the keys to success. If one lacked motivation, then how could they accomplish their goals? They needed to strive for the best and believe that nothing could bring them down. That was the way Dakota thought, anyways. <div style="text-align: left;">
<div style="text-align: left;">As the large damsel eyed everybody, her orbs instantaneously landed upon Kiko. With a wide smile, she majestically padded up to him and Kavik. "Greetings, you two." She smiled softly at the two conversing before flicking her audits thoughtfully. "Are you two ready for the race?" <div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Atka || Dame || Wolf {Alpha} || Mentions: Open<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: left;">Atka had been awake for what felt like hours, though it was really only one. She had been wandered the land beyond her pack, simply contemplating on what needed to be done. Of course, the main priority was food, which was her main goal as of now. As the sun began to rise, she nimbly made her way over towards a small patch of both ice and snow. <div style="text-align: left;">
<div style="text-align: left;">Beyond it rested two Alaskan hares. From memorization, she remembered seeing them not too long ago, yet only now decided to see if it were true, or if her eyes decided her. With a wise and peaceful gaze, the dame silently lowered her stature to the ground, her stomach only a mere centimetre from the cold ground, and began to creep up onto the poor, unsuspecting hare, or, as she liked to call it, her next meal. <div style="text-align: left;">
<div style="text-align: left;">Atka, with her expression confident, moved noiselessly until she was within perfect distance of the hares. She could only catch one, she, obviously, her target was the larger, more pumper one. Within an instance, the tall-statured wolf lunged at her potential meal, which emitted a high-pitched shriek. With a satisfied grin, she felt her paws connect with its body, and then tasted the metallic taste of blood as her teeth bit into the creature. <div style="text-align: left;">
<div style="text-align: left;">With the white snow around her now bloodied, as well as her snout and paws, she elegantly made her way back to the others within the small group, or pack, in which they had all made. Atka glanced around before letting out a half howl, simply to awaken everybody up, if they weren't already.

Team One | Team Dog | Mentions: Kiko, Dakota

Kavik nodded quietly as Kiko spoke, taking in his answer silently. It was kind of vague, but the male understood where the other was coming from. The younger members would hopefully look to the more experienced, and learn from them. They would also offer good energy to the team. As for the Musher, he hoped John had picked someone who would do well. It was never the same as being with their owner, but if the human racing with him did his job, that's all they needed. They could do the rest.

He glanced to Kiko when he asked his opinion, mischief beginning to gleam in the older dog's eyes. "You want my honest run down?" He asked, knowing that the other knew what he meant. He'd go through each dog on the team, and what he knew about them, and what their strengths and down falls would be. It was something Kavik just did. After training and running with all the dogs at least at some point, you'd pick up things about the other dogs.

"We've got a good team. A mix of experience and youth, which is always good to have. We've got some sturdy fixtures on the team which is important to have for a new race. They can offer guidance to the newcomers and less experienced when needed. This will help you and Nevada focus on what's ahead instead of having to worry about it and the team. It should help take some pressure off the two off. You have a good team behind you, some have big personalities, but they are all harder workers. So, I'd say as long as no one let's their attitude or pride get in the way, then we should be fine," he answered honestly. He was going to continue, but Dakota had trotted up to them to join in the conversation.

"Good Morning, Dakota," he nodded gently in a friendly manner. His rolled his shoulders gently, going slowly through a morning routine of loosening his body up. "About as ready as I'll ever be," he said, grinning sheepishly at the large female.

Pilvi

Team One || Team Dog || Mentions: Open

Curled up into a piebald ball on top of a floor covered in hay, the female's ears twitched to the sound of her team chattering. She let out a yawn before turning over, staring at the barn wall, she wasn't a morning lover. "Just five more minutes..." She muttered before she began to remember what day it was. Here eyes widened, it was the big race. The she quickly got up, butterflies flapping around in her stomach. She was both excited and nervous.

Pilvi's tail began to wag now, she was really hyped for this race. The longest she's ever done with all honesty. She sniffed the cold barn air, smelling her fellow teammates and some food that was put in her bowl. Her stomach growled, begging her to eat it, her tongue glazing over her chops. She listened to her stomach and began to eat it after taking in that smell once again. After she finished it, she lapped her water bowl a few times before laying down for a second.

Thoughts going through her mind all about this race. Everyone in her team, including her trained for this day and boy was she ready for it. She had been a sled dog since she was about one, before that she had been trained a bit for it but they wanted her to be a pup while she could. Sure she was a bit nervous but she tried to think positive about it. Pilvi wouldn't let race jitters get the best of her. That would do no good for the team. She looked back at her tail, it was like it had a mind of its own, wagging so fast it was a blur. The sled dog stood up and gently pushed the stall door open before looking around, who should she talk too? Hmm..

Team One | Lead Dog | Mentions: Marble

The female was curled up quietly in the back of her kennel when she heard the sounds of others rousing. Letting out a soft sight she gently unraveled from herself, gave a shake of her long coat, and exited the safety of her little den. She quietly looked around, spying the familiar shapes and forms of the other dogs that would be running with her today. She could see three dogs outside the barn, Kiko, Kavik, and Dakota she thought. Her eyes spied the shape of Marble, the unusually colored dog who was rather new to their world.

Deciding it was better to have friendly conversation than to sit in silence, Nevada walked over and sat down near Marble. "Good Morning, Marble. Are you ready for today?" She asked, her voice even but friendly. She hoped the male wasn't to nervous, she understood what it was like to be new. It wasn't like she had been there for very long either, being just three years of age.
